  • @dazedconfused oh, and please listen (read) the entirety of my idea, instead if refuting the 1st comment I posted. Proving the existence of a god cannot be said in a single YouTube comment. Try to b open minded, and you will see it :)

  • @dazedconfused989 it is only proof if scientists in general are ready to accept it (just like the flat earth analogy). Einsteins discovery of the fourth dimension and it's physical limits was widely accepted by the scientific world, especially since it wasn't actually einstein who discovered it but the world's most renown Christians in Sweden, Ireland and other Europe countries. It just needs a little credibility, at which point non scientific folks like u eventually tag along.

  • that cutting part shocked me

  • Yup, stupidity is dangerous no doubt!

  • The cutting bit of this video apalls me. That is so fucking dangerous and irresponsible.

  • @AstronomyGuru1 dude, he's NOT a psychic.

  • @UBrant So from this one instance where a surgeon fucked up or you simply got unlucky you derived that SCIENCE cant be trusted? I seriously hope that you never will be put into a position of power.

  • It makes you wonder if some people that believe in the paranormal have inferior intelligence and critical thinking ability and the ones that are superior in intelligence just hold on to beliefs for social reasons or haven't really thought about it.

  • Omg, how ignorant can you be, to not even clean your instrument properly in between patient...

Its even horrifying when he mention there was 2 HIV positive people in the lot...

  • That is absolutely disgraceful. I can't believe people are doing that. I can't believe people are paying to have that done to them.

  • I seriously couldn't watch the last minute or so of conscience people getting cut into.

  • Psychic psurgery is really quite pshocking.

  • lol, nothing funnier then coming on youtube and seeing two people arguing :)

anyway, thats not important, great vid.

  • than* learn the fucking language.

  • huh?? :S

  • This is very relevant to the subject of religion and 9/11:

    /watch?v=KzGjEkp772s

  • Dawkins engages in magical thinking concerning 9/11.

  • [citation needed]

Please explain how you came to this conclusion - I can't find (within a minute of searching, at least) any quotes from Dawkins speaking about 9/11 that would support your statement.

Without information to the contrary, I would have to assume that, after the initial shock wore off, Dawkins reacted the same way as most atheists, questioning the official conspiracy theory but blaming religion for making it easy.

  • "If death is final, a rational agent can be expected to value his life highly and be reluctant to risk it. This makes the world a safer place, just as a plane is safer if its hijacker wants to survive. At the other extreme, if a significant number of people convince themselves, or are convinced by their priests, that a martyr's death is equivalent to pressing the hyperspace button and zooming through a wormhole to another universe, it can make the world a very dangerous place." - Richard Dawkins

  • Exactly.

These so called hijackers who loved cocaine, lap dances, pork, alcohol and gambling, all banned by Islamic law

    were only patsies.

There were no planes involved, and even if they were, they had no role in the obvious demolition of those buildings.

You have to be a fool to watch those buildings pulverize themselves into dust in midair, blowing steel beams 400 of feet through the air,and think it was some kind of "once in history, suspend the laws of physics collapse from tiny kerosene fires."

  • Your post is 100% correct (in my eyes), however it doesn't discount the fact that REAL suicide bombers exist, and are used, and would not exist in anywhere near the current numbers if it were not for religion.

I can imagine there are some secular causes people would willingly give their lives for, but none that would in any way involve blowing up innocent people.

  • The real terrorists don't believe in god. They use the myth of religion to control the masses. Every major terror attack is perpetrated by the host government. Qui bono? The most prolific mass murderers in history have been atheists. Stalin,Mao. Still I agree that religion is very harmful. It has enabled the most torture and killing in history. The power structure that must maintain it's lies, the Catholic church, knowledge is a threat. Glad you are awake. Keep up the search for truth.
  • your very contradictory,

"The most prolific mass murderers in history have been atheists.

    Stalin,Mao."

they did every they did based only on government, they never killed anyone because they believed in god

whereas many religious leaders kill people who dont believe in god

    epic fail bro

  • The truth is not some cliche newspeak bullshit cute saying like,"epic fail".

    It's more complicated than that.

    I don't lie to prove a point.

Truth is all I care about.

    Not your ignorant asinine judgements.

  • so just cuz i said epic fail, it makes what i said false? if dawrin said dude, would that make everything he said false?

thats what i would call ignorant asinine judgements:D

stalin never ever killed in the name of atheism, proving what you claim to not be a valid point at all.

    epic fail x2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I never said anything like that.

Completely irrelevent straw man declaration of victory on your part.

Debate with you is like playing chess with a pigeon.

The pigeon flaps his wings, knocks over the pieces, shits on the board and then flies off and declares victory.

  • Oh but sir, isn't implying that atheism is bad because the mass murderers are atheist, straw manning? I mean you point out that since they were atheist and killed a bunch of people, that atheism is bad, although, not one murder was in the name of atheism. do explain how when someone is labeled something, it makes what they do, in the name of they're label.

once again, you contradicted yourself, making an epic failx3

  • Well, who ever you are responding too was wrong in their assertion that serial killers are atheists. The majority of them were either very religious or brought up in religious households.

  • @fcdog555 Atheism is a lack of belief, therefore, unlike religion, doesn't motivate people to do anything.

  • @sinachiniforoosh Who the hell replies to a post made two years ago lol

  • @fcdog555 guess it's me! and who the hell watches videos uploaded 2 years ago?

  • @fcdog555 touche...

  • @sinachiniforoosh luls hahahaha

  • @fcdog555 :D

  • and do elaborate what you mean by "The truth is not some cliche newspeak bullshit cute saying like,"epic fail"".

  • Are you still using that same old argument? Everyone and their grandfather tries to use Stalin as an example.

The differences in religious terror and the terror that Stalin struck in people's hearts is that religious terror is commited in the NAME of religion. Stalin was a troubled and sick individual and wasn't doing these crimes based on his belief, or lack thereof. This is just another example of spouting off opinions without seeking the proper facts.

  • well said. aluminum and fire can't cause 200 tons of structured steel with 3:5 strength ratio to collapse at free fall speed... and leave pools of molten steel under the buildings... not to mention the nano thermite dust.

  • how are people so studip to believe in these bogus doctors

  • Thats how evolution works. These people die and the human species gets smarter.

  • Wtf! I made my first comment before I finished watching the show because I was so pissed off.

Two people HAD HIV?! That man should be in prison for being a psycho and those patients should be in prison for being stupid.

  • That surgeon made me fucking sick!

He didn't wash the blood of his hands? He didn't sterilize the instruments?

Did he stop to think what would happen if one 'patient' had HIV?

  • he was from Brazil ffs

  • oh my god, this is sick. I'm pretty stoic most times, but i'm having dificulty watching this guy cut into living people.

  • Those bogus "surgeons" make me sick. Throw the fuckers in jail and take away their patients suffrage.

  • Not to nitpick, but "suffrage" means the right to vote.

  • Uhm yeah I know...and I don't want their patients deciding the next president.

  • Now that I read your post again, it makes sense. That's what I get for skimming and posting. My apologies.

  • Now that is the kind of shit you should be able to get thrown in jail for. Cutting people with non sterile knifes and not even washing your hands, that is nuts. I guess that is ok, but if you smoke weed, wow! Look out!

  • OMG that psychic "surgeon" completely freaked me out. Actually I am not sure who did, him or the people who went there. How can anyone expose themselves to that sort of risk?

  • the first "psychic" thing, was hilarious... who the fuck believes that shit, he pre-broke the spoon... jesus christ...

  • I say the more quack medical practices, the better. Got to thin the herd somehow.

  • Actually there was a famous test done in England where subjects were asked to guess one of five basic symbols being viewed by a person sitting across from them.

Results were consistently much better than chance alone would allow.

Also millions were spent on remote viewing by Russian and U.S.intelligence with mixed results.

Of course the vagueness of the images do not lend themselves to useful information.

Does anyone know the name of the experiment?

    The symbols were basic:round,square,etc.

  • The 'psychic surgeons' should be shot. Ugh.

Roscogre, those are called Zener cards, and it has since been shown that the few tests which produced repeatable, statistically significant results were due to card-counting or 'reading' the tester (body language, not anything telepathic). The only accurate studies of such a phenomenon would have to be conducted with the test subject totally isolated from anything like this that could affect the results, and in those scenarios people always fail.

  • Totally isolated would preclude any electromagnetic transmission or unconscious signalling of the testers now wouldn't it?

I am not saying it is magic, just extrasensory.

  • Yes, it would rule out the possibility of NATURAL means of cheating/success, therefore testing and debunking proponents claims of SUPERnatural abilities. If a person had a repeatable, statistically significant level of success in other conditions but then failed an isolation test, the scientific thing to do would be to try and narrow down just how they succeeded, even if that is by an as-yet undocumented transmission of information that doesn't overcome proper isolation.

  • What kind of dinosaur did jesus ride?

  • Velociraptor, obviously.

As a zombie, that would be my first choice...

  • I'm thinking the triceratops with the saddle in the 'creation science' museum.

  • Very strong indoctrination along with an instinct to believe what is told to you by your elders as a survival instinct, ideas thrive in frequency like a virus rippling across humanity.

  • Eh, what?

  • Gallium spoon?

  • Faith, religion, the superstitious belief are all dangerous and they undermine the scientific progress we've made in the last 500 years.

And yet people still cling to these things with conviction. Why?

I think the common denominator is FEAR. Specifically of the unknown.

    It's sad

  • You are 1000000% correct!!!

  • Yes and perhaps they are also apathetic. Many people simply don't care to investigate or think for themselves.

  • @DazedConfused989 I disagree. faith and belief in a creator has driven technology...which is why white christians invented most of technology we use today. I say this, and Im a mechanical engineer who has studied physics passionally. I can prove there is a God just by using science. The more you study the system with science, the more you find clues of a creator.

  • @mattyelle1 Please, show me your proof.

There is not one person on this earth, from the Pope to a pauper, that can definitively prove the existence of a god. What chance do you stand? It will be interesting to see you try though.

  • @DazedConfused989 DNA is an efficient computer code with 725MB of info. Its comprised of computer bits which collectively form a program. This program takes a DNA molecule, builds a sperm around it, grows it to a featus and later a full sized human being. It is a program which is constantly adapting itself (how can a program adapt itself?) to create "evolution", and it is self-correcting with the use of special enzymes. The universe is governed by limits, also found in a program. Who built this?

  • @mattyelle1 Likening DNA to a computer code/program is really an oversimplification of what DNA is and what it does. Like comparing apples and watermelons.

DNA does not "create" evolution or "adapt itself". Its obvious that you lack a basic understanding of Evolution and I don't have the patience or adequate credentials to try to explain it to you.

This is not proof of a god. You're basically just talking a?bout biological processes u don't understand then asking "Who did it?' Wheres the proof

  • @DazedConfused989 Look up quantum concious energy. Its a vibration through infinitely small particles which have infinite energy. Therefore, they are not subjet to time...because their energy is so great, the vibration or information it transmits simply teleports from 1 point to another. Russian scientists-engineers which designed and built the soviet nuclear shield during the cold war have discoved and proven the presence of this particle, and humans are the only species that can transmit it...

  • @DazedConfused989 Well said sir

  • a phsychic surgeon?

thats what i call an oxy- MORON!!!!!!!

    high five anyone?

  • HIGH FIVE

  • just to make sure, there are only three episodes right?

  • I am appalled by this kind of trickery at the end. It would be alright if they didn't actually put their patients at risk, because if they just pretended to cut into them and never did, the placebo would kick in depending on the strength of the beliefs of the patient, which might actually do some good.

Placebo plays a big role in medicine and cures. Our brains have undeniably more control over our bodies than we think they do.

  • Today, random natural events in the world give us a little confusion. Thousands of years ago it produced religions... :(

  • haha very true.

  • Comment removed

  • Natural events? Abraham the bastard produced religion for his egotistical satanic benefit, hardly what id call a natural event, the human race is to this day being victimised in such a way that they dont know theyre victimised, manipulating them towards a conclusion that both keeps opressors in power and money and the masses sedated. Thats a bad twist of fate for the human race at the hands of a villain not really a 'natural event' its a natural event in the same way raping is a natural event.

  • Well said my friend. You seem to be an intelligent guy.

  • I love Dawkins

  • psychic surgery...WTF?! give me aids and pathogens plaease?! WTF?!?!

  • I bet that spoon hes using is made of gallium, it would melt inbetween his fingers and be easy to reform.

  • listen to this man

  • WARNING RELIGION KILLS.

  • Its called brainwashing. Extremely powerfull tool used in pretty much every religious country. You do not encounter much brainwashing these days, because noone seems to notice when they are being washed, like i am now. Im putting a thought in your head, and if my influence is enough, you believe into it. Influence can be physical or mental, as for example, so called existing proof or fear of death. In this case of addicts, it has likely been mental. For many the existence of bible is enough tho.

  • I think the spoon is made of gallium.

  • Sad... I fell for some supernatural crap myself... DAMN SANTA! I'LL SHOW HIM NOT EXISTING ON ME!!!

(But seriously, I used to have what I'd now rather call a delusion.

We people can be so stupid!)

  • Those poor morons who are fooled by "psychics" or "healers" or "astrologers"..have they never been to school, don't they have any education or any brains?? It's sad to watch..

  • its because they trust other people, and often have nothing else to turn to during difficult times. psychics and healers prey on emotionally vunerable people.

  • "you go to the phone before it rings, knowing it will ring or have the same odd dream the same moment as the same person at the same night"

    It's called coincidence.

  • dont get me wrong, I am for science, I was always curious for understanding, or at least getting close to it. All I try to say is that there are mechanics we do not understand or comprehend , which is a reason scientists examine stuff like meditation now more closely. Its called ignorance.

  • Obviously scientists don't understand everything, but it's highly unlikely anyone else has any better idea about these things

  • Or how you wake two minutes before your alarm goes off?

There are explanations for all these, and they're very simple ones. Your brain is tricking you.

  • You can ignore effects and phenomena by saying you know it , but I think no one knows about everything, no prophet dude, no science dude, no youtube dude. Your perception is tricking you as well. I am interested in all terms of knowledge, and as far as I know only dogma gives limits to enhance our knowledge. So how is your dogma is different from religious dogma (dont get me wrong there, I do not speak of crimes) ?

  • No, my perception is not tricking me.

I am well aware of how little I understand. But I also know more than you about how much I do.

  • @downonmyluck.

well then I say I am not tricked as well and we are at the same point again. I can go along your last point very well :)

  • In the same breath, you say "no one knows everything"- Yet you imagine some psychic DOES know? Astrologers and sorcerers are the ones who claim to know the answers to all mysteries- Which is why they investigate NOTHING and actually have learned NOTHING.

  • uh - no ? "I think no one knows about everything, no prophet dude, no science dude, no youtube dude" thats what I said before. I was merely talking about dogmatic patterns and most reactions offer a gorgerous example of that .

  • He is not phycic. If he was then if i took away all his senses would he be able to sense if the person walking into the room was black or white? No because hes a fraud.

  • The illusionist is not aware of the MRI scans done, and have already been submitted to journals. I dont know of anyone that has been able to reproduce it without coming to a non-local explanation.

  • mad... "you must believe".

  • the guy cutting people needs to be put in prison, he is to dangerous.

  • i think an even bigger shame is that these charlatans place doubt on the legitimate & scientifically proven benefits of such things as meditation (which can reduce stress), and yoga (which can improve flexibility & circulation) etc... as they tend to be seen as part of the same "mystical" realm instead of being quite valid & proven.

  • what the fuck!!! that guy most likely gave HIV to sumone if not all those people and every time he does this. damn how can this complete piece of shit not be arrested and sentenced to death

  • Very good program.

  • some people will always be gullible

  • I can't believe it. I'm right on the edge of tears right now over the psychic surgery bit. That has got to be the worst thing I've ever seen; absolutely UNACCEPTABLE!

  • I agree. Religion tends to make people crazy and do really stupid things.

  • Dawkins' closing statement makes me very sad. I think that one reason science is failing is that it is taught in schools alongside christian teachings, both of which are presented as accurate. To present Darwinism as fact is frowned upon in many schools, and the Bible is still read out on a weekly basis in religious assemblies. How are children supposed to come to an accurate understanding, with all this conflicting information being thrown at them?

  • Easy solution. Remove the pseudoscientific biblical bullshit. Keep it as far away from a school as possible. Leave that nonsense at your place of residence or church. That way, when the child wants to learn about reality and how things work within it, they'll study scientific facts. When they want to dabble in the fine arts of mythology, they can go to church.

  • I agree with that totally, but there are no signs of it happening. Schools are adamant that they are going to keep their religious teachings, and parents are leaving the schools to make that decision for them.

  • they r not suppose to have a accurate understanding of things , they r suppose to believe in what religious zealots want so they garantee a new generation were to suck money from without any1 questioning..because its sumthing holy!! woo hoo!! :P

  • The classical Christian doctrine of "have dominion over the beasts and land" and the US manifest destiny propels (and has a long time propelled) economic interests of the elite. It works for war and oil to say god bless America. it's the parallel of all is Allah. scary scat. we need to change more in the social justice arena that's even scarier than this sham psychic surgery BS lack of skepticism that Dawkins is correct needs addressing. science is big, but we need to understand ourselves better

  • johnnyk2112: Don't talk shite you dopey buffoon.

  • Evidence for these assertions would be greatly appreciated. Not to mention you would win the Nobel Prize.

  • "A week before the biggest aviation disaster in history, [70's, canary islands} i dreamed of, and wrote down the accident." Did you bother to mention it to anyone? Like, say the airlines? Perhaps your magic power could have saved the lifes of those on board.

  • johnnyk2112 you are deluded if you think you have any psychic abilities

If you are so convinced give us sceptics some proof

why dont you give an accurate prediction of a future event right hear and now ???

    Hear is my prediction

    Because you cant LOL

  • Yes johnnyk, what did you dream last night? What major disaster did you dream of? Another WTC perhaps? Earthquake? Tsunami? Please tell us so we can adjust our vacation plans. I'm heading for Vegas this weekend. Anything I need to know about?

  • wadbutter: Nice prediction, i already said psychic events can't be turned on and off. It comes and goes. It is an awakening sense in man, like the other five senses. It is not supernatural or mystical, but natural. It is awakening in everyone, you included.{btw., the dream didnt come with as many details as you seem to think a dream should have. But i did see a newspaper headline in the dream, and it stated 2 people from my town were dead from the crash.}..I'm not convinced, it just happens.

  • It comes and goes. Right. And God works in mysterious ways.

  • Well johnny, why don't you take the James Randi Million Dollar Challenge? I know you said you can't summon these powers. But I'm sure there's a way for you to write down some of these predictions before they happen. It's quite easy to claim that you've written them down in advance. Show us the proof, you fraud.

  • Jaber78: Since you've already dismissed what I said as a lie, we certainly can't communicate. I know my experiences. If you are at all curious about these things we could communicate...I have ideas, that fall within the realm of physics and possibility, that might explain foreknowledge. I've certainly had it, i know it's real, so i go through my life, basically alone trying to figure it out or capitalize on it....Not happening. It seems to be a natural process...An evolving sense.

  • johnnyk: My skepticism should have no bearing on your ability to prove yourself. That is a common tactic used by people like you to avoid having to display these powers. I am completely open to being proven wrong. In order for you to offer an explanation for your "foreknowledge" you first need to demonstrate that such a phenomenon exists. It's not enough for you to say that it does. If you cannot offer evidence, then you are either a fraud or completely delusional. Maybe even a little of both.

  • Jaber: Your dismissal of me in your first post as a fraud, and your second post as "a fraud or completely delusional" as being the only possibilities is not only insulting, but stupid and bad logic....You have barely given me a chance to say, yes, it's on me to bring proof. If i could i would. Who knows, maybe i can..What about then a third possibility smartass. I'm right. Whether you see proof or not. If I have proof, it's proof whether you see it or not...Most people have psychic experiences.

  • johnnyk: First of all, most people DO NOT have psychic experiences. Are you talking about deja vu? Second, you don't have to prove it to me or anyone else. But don't come on here and think you're going to get ANYONE to take you the least bit seriously. So shit or get off the pot. Later, crackpot.

  • Jan7788: Deja vu is not a psychic experience...I didnt come on here to try anything, except maybe stir up the waters a little bit...Why is it a crackpot idea to imagine that thoughts, which are things, can be detected without voice...Good friends, twins especially, certain sensitive people read each others thoughts on a daily basis, it becoming quite routine....you are likely not evolved yet in your brain..do you still believe in god??

  • johnny: What is going on with your brain that your ability to get my name right is deteriorating with each message. And NO, people are not reading each other's minds on a daily basis. What is your evidence for this? What is the mechanism for this "detection of thoughts". We have ears to hear with and eyes to see with. The brain is not a sensory organ, per say. It interprets the visual and auditory stimuli and processes them to create what we think of as an image or sound.

  • jubber: i'll play and take this point by point for awhile....Anecdotal evidence for common daily telepathy abounds...Not on bigfoot level, but most people have these experiences, but not all...Since this is apparently a recently evolving sense, the answers to the mechanism[s] are coming....We barely understand consciousness, let alone all the possible levels or layers...like harmonics...

  • johnny: (2) What does being "evolved" in the brain even mean? What does that have to do with belief in a god? You're not making any sense. And again, you seem to be eluding to the fact that you possess superpowers. Ever think that maybe you're delusional? Have you ever been treated by a mental health professional?

  • jibjib:the brain is evolving like all life...for instance, it is most likely man did not see all the colors we now see in the spectrum. The earliest literature is devoid of certain colors...I asked if you still believed in god to see if you even have a working brain...[belief precludes reason]..Starting at 14, psychic energies have been active in me, more at certain times than others...Yes, i have spent time making sure i'm not nuts...Scout's honor...never moved anything...

  • What a load of pseudoscientific nonsense. You used a few scientific terms there but it's obvious you have no idea what they mean. FYI, I do not currently nor have I ever believed in a god. However, I do think it's funny that you can't see the parallels between their delusional thinking (religious folks, that is) and your own. Your opinions appear to be based on belief as well. They're certainly not based on any empirical evidence. I'm waiting for the next step when you invoke quantum mechanics.

  • last time jbrhc78::my experiences are the kind that get people mixed up in religion and silly beliefs in the first place. They are experiences, not beliefs, not opinions. Once i mistook them for a god, but there is no evidence for that........I've already looked into quantum mechanics....No next step, i've got better things to do than be quizzed by skeptics...i gain nothing..adios

  • Adios. Good luck with that psychic thing. Finally, I urge you to apply to the JREF Challenge. You could give the money to charity.

  • I'm going to start out with a simple question.

What type of psychic abilities do you have? Please be specific. Perhaps we can do a very unscientific test via YouTube.

  • schmakkel: my abilities tell me this is going nowhere,,,,you cant, on demand, empirically prove this shit. It comes and goes.....peace,out.

  • You abilities? Damn I might have magic powers too cuz my 'abilities' (common sense, rational thinking, etc..) tell me you can't back up what you claim. I never asked for an 'On Demand' demonstration. I was going to propose a rather lengthy experiment that would allow for you to present your abilities when they arose. I've read your claims that you can't summon them and I was willing to accept that.

    Are you willing?

  • we have the same abilities, common sense and rational thinking first, and i'll never give that up.....Yes i am willing..

  • what do you have in mind?

  • First if you can explain exactly what type of abilities you have. I'm not asking you to summon them right now. Just provide specifics as to what you can do.

  • schmk: It usually revolves around telepathy, clairvoyance and precognition.

  • Is one ability stronger than the others? Do you experience one more than the others? By narrowing it down, we can focus on just one ability at a time.

  • telepathy and clairvoyance seem to be on about the same level...precognition a little less often...btw, is the point here to come up with some kind of empirical evidence?..fine....this shit is very hard to pin down though...an interesting corollary to clairvoyance is dowsing..i have been able to find objects, lost or hidden...on occasion with witnesses, so maybe this is a place to start..we can be remote...the object can be "hidden" on your end, and found from mine...{played this with my kids}

  • Strange, my reply disappeared. Thanks YouTube. I'll restate it briefly. You decide which 'power' is your strongest.

I'm not sure how dowsing can work remotely. But I'll let you pick what ability you wish to present and I'll come up with a very unscientific test.

  • I have the power to too look into a womans eyes make her drip and shiver.

  • now thats impressive

  • How much do they charge you per hour. lol

  • For a gift such as mine, i feel it would be only right to provide my services out of charity. it gets a Rise out of me as well, lol.

  • That psychic illusionist was what uri geller should have done, not make yourself look like an ass until someone proves you wrong.

  • this is really good!

  • Thats so horrible I hope this "surgeon" is in jail now!

  • (cont) believe in it and use it when the state of the evidence is sufficient to be proof for said paranormal claim. Otherwise, you do have people believing in crap like this psychic surgeon.

  • (cont) In conclusion, the only place that open-mindedness towards these phenomena has any place is in science, and only for purposes of investigating anomalies and determining the source of the anomaly, whether it be actually paranormal, or just something normal we failed to take into account. Other than that, the public should be demanding evidence of paranormal phenomena before accepting any paranormal claim, then reading what peer-reviewed science there is, and criticisms thereof, and ONLY

  • (cont) one failed replication, and that was an attempt by 4 institutions to replicate PEAR's work. Now is this proof of psi phenomena's existence? Not yet. However, with statistically significant scores seeming to be relatively persistent, we should continue to tighten the controls, and keep researching them. Who knows. Some of these might exist and have a basis in physics that we already know, or they might be some experimental artifact that noone has thought of in the past century and a half.

  • (cont) still seem to be there after decades of research are the Ganzfeld, the presentiment studies, after about a decade of research, and micro-psychokinesis. The ganzfeld has turned out to have significant results after all 4 of the meta-analyses done on it. (The Milton-Wiseman analysys ended up having a file drawer effect, message me for references.) The presentiment effect so far has had no failed replications to date, and as for the micro-psychokinesis results, there has only been one

  • (cont) bunk.) This is where an open-mindedness to the so-called paranormal, but a good understanding of science, must come hand in hand. Let me be perfectly clear about where that openmindedness must be though. The open-mindedness must be in the minds of scientists and scientists alone, and it must extend only far enough to be willing to research the phenomena. For example, with ESP, there have been some unusual anomalies documented within parapsychology. The only two, maybe three of these that
