@theamateurbasher gutted as I was in The Huudersfeild area on Saturday( me being southern based), didnt know it was going via that route as would have delayed my other activities
Well done for braving the elements David, it was a great location to film at and an excellent result. I must say though the Western's engines sound peculiar...5* .Bob
@robmasterman Thanks Bob! The weather may have been non conformist, but it was certainly worth braving it to record D1015 on yet another ground breaking tour for the class. The location (near a footbridge) was a 20 minute walk away from the station.
Nice scenic shot! sorry it was so wet, didn't stop you getting the result! Did you travel along way to film it, up in the dales.Beautiful part of the world on any day! 5*
@FonteDeiMarmi Hi FoneDeiMarmi, thanks for commenting. I travelled up to Buxton from Merseyside; a two and a half hour journey via Manchester. I agree with Peak District being beautiful, it's just a shame that the weather wasn't on my side this time... Still, with a semaphore signal (a dying sight on the national rail system), it's very much worth it!
@theamateurbasher That is a long drive m8, glad you salvaged the weather in to a good shot. Not all good stuff is shot on a summers day lol .Hope it's better for the Cornwall trip next week, we are trying to cover that one from Paddington throughout and the steam part on to Penzance. Could be good to film with an action packed day, lots of followers and fans of D1015 no doubt plus two legend steam loco's!
@theamateurbasher turned out great m8 ,,great location classic loco too,, and with the semiphore signal its a shot to be proud of ! thanks for sharing ,,well worth the effort ,, i was up at 3.30am to get it this morning ,it went past me in around 30secs .,you got a bit more time ,, 1min ..its how you wanna see it its nice to get a good look at her,,lol might see warminstercentral with his head out of the window
Lovely shot. I was lucky enough to be in the cab! Great day, and what a machine!

Excellent footage - my house is directly behind the cameraman - but I was out of Buxton on that day, goes to make up for what I missed!!!

@FonteDeiMarmi I caught the train to get to Buxton, changing at Newton Le Willows and Manchester Piccadilly.

@theamateurbasher Hope the train was easier than the drive,I thought that would of been better and maybe cheaper with petrol gone up again.
