I just don't get why Americans just don't seem to want to make good action movies. It's all "okay, make sure we have at least one car chase, at least five shootouts, maybe our guy can do a chokeslam or something". Whereas in Thailand, they're just just like "okay, we've got our lone ranger hero type, but he doesn't use guns, he just kicks everyone in the face. Have tons of flaming shit flying at him, and definitely have him ride a missile, presumably to jump off and kick someone in the face."
He was not Tony Jaa. He is Dan Chupong. He was the main enemy of Tony Jaa in the movies Ong Bak 2 and 3 as Crow Ghos or Bhuti Sangkha. Actually Dan and Tony are friends.
to all you haters out there reading this comment.......congratulations you just wasted about 10 seconds of your life you will never get back =) oh and btw MOVIE RULES!
Now and days everyone would just go with the trend. Once everybody sees an incredible film, they want to see more. They don't appreciate what the crew of movies like this went through to make it look realistic. The set of the movie, the clothes, the makeup, the time, the originality of it all is perfect. I have never seen a movie like this by Thai ppl that's why I like it. They have really improved thanks to Ong Bak. =)

they show the 'good' scenes and only very brief clips. the movie is ass. i've seen another hyped up movie with the same director and actors and the movie was ass! ong bak is ass. the fight choreography is ass. too slow and anticipated fight scenes.
I agree with KidHaru. This movie wouldn't have even been made if Ong Bak, Tom Yum Goong (The Protector), and Jet Li's classic Wuxia films hadn't come first. And the plot sounds ridiculous.
Okay the repeated choreography is getting annoying. I noticed 3 exact replicas from Ong Bak and The Protector.
He smashed through the pot the guy was holding by using his knees. Just Like in the protector how he smashed through the vase or sink that the guy was holding when ascending the tower.
He Jumped through the ring of fire thing, exactly the same pose from in Ong Bak when Tony was being chased.
And he smashed through the cabin and kneed the guy, just like the office scene in The Protector.
