  • I freakin' love this song.

  • It looks easy when Chris play but it needs hell of a work out to play it.

  • this has no semblance of jazz at all

  • I bet he can scarf a pizza down before you blink.....

  • no feeling what a dumb thats asshole coments only hear and enjoy if you dont want go kiss daddy yankees ass

  • nice

  • Why we need eletronic music when we have Chris Impellitteri??

  • Comment removed

  • 5:14- 5:44 galacticorgasm

  • Man can he make those fender noiseless pickups SCREAM or what!!!

  • @infectionsman Not noiseless pickups, this is a cbs era guitar

  • @danukenator123 i heard he usually puts in vintage noiseless pu's and usually scallops the 21st fret on his fenders, but yeah it might be a stock guitar too

  • @infectionsman Chris used standard Fender pickups, didn't he? I'm sure I read in an interview that he did.

  • @yngwieisking yeah, i checked it, he uses stock ones in his cbs era guitars, the noiseless ones were in his short run of japanese signature fenders

  • He´s really great!! My heart beats faster when I hear such beautifull things....

  • Anyone who says he doesn't play with feeling, needs to shut the fuck up.

  • great guitar players grow up to become great musicians...

lousy guitar players become music critics...this goes out to retarded guy and all the others just like him

  • This is Jazz but its so fast it bulldozes you

  • I hate stupid Claptons that always has the same argument

IT'S FAST, IT HAS NO FEELING

  • malmsteen???

  • fank gambale hace eso viendo la tele

  • it amazes me how he can play with such amount of gain and be so clean, especially when playing so fast

  • Find out what brand of compressor, and what brand of noise gate, he is using. Then buy them :)

  • thanks

  • que buena banda que es impellitteri me encata

  • Wasn't this called Overture / Virtual Prison? (intro)

  • his speed is keeps him from worth listening to ! he's needed to slow down for years but somehow thinks playing a million miles an hour is good listening??? he's been that way since he was 13 years old..he'll never change..trust me I KNOW..Jimi Bell blows his doors OFF !

  • Chris slowed down, and he sounds better for it. Better definition of notes...he stopped trying to be the fastest in the world. When he did, he was actually sloppy.

  • How this has anything to do with jazz is beyond me.

  • But space and bulldozer make perfect sense to you?

  • oh and the keyboardist and drummer and bassist deserve some love to, awesome!

  • dude, i still like yngwie, but this guy, hes the ORIGINALL man, his songs sound different, and i get more feeling from his playin you know, its not just fast crap, he knows what notes to hold and, its just freaking AWESOME, hes my new hero.

  • his old stuff isnt fast crap... his riffing is tight as ass, tasy and original, and perfectly complements graham bonnets screaming vocals. the songs have simple structure but are great... most solos are fast, but yet he doesnt overplay on the songs. he is the first to have played at such hyperspeed and has his own sound. not to mention aswome guitar tone and vibrato.

  • the newer stuff is slowed town too. unless you count the intros to some songs and the solos witch have somehow gotten faster than they were before...

  • He is fucking amazing.

  • wait? this is almost the same song as the screaming symphony vid ? whats goin on ? im confused ?

anyways very nice, not many people can play this clean on treble.

  • Yeah what the fuck. It starts off almost identically.

  • Love how it changes with the drums =P. This is awesome

  • his left hand runs around on the neck like a little black spider.

  • i play this behind my head on banjo when i'm feeling bored.

  • hahahhahaha you legend

  • @SvenTwelve you must be chris himself

  • This can either enspire you or make you sell your guitar at the pawn shop. Too cool

  • People that use the term "African Americans" are presumptuous cocks, your not been politically correct, your just been a stupid. The fact that black people could come from Haiti, India, Trinidad, Brazil, Australia or Jamaica makes you more racist then just saying nigger. Pointless comment from an ignorant american - Music is the universal language PS: Impelliterri rocks \m/

  • this dude is awesome.

more proof that the asshole from dream theatre totally blows.

  • yes

  • "Music is like basketball. Its dominated by African Americans. Before you start hating on me, I dare you to prove me factually otherwise."

Entirely dependent on the genre, in fairness. Whilst I'm not "hating" on you, I am somewhat in disagreement with you!

I don't think that Rock, Metal, Classical, Country, Dance, Bluegrass or Operatic music is "dominated by African-Americans".

However, given that a lot of modern music is a derivative of Blues (Rock, Jazz and so forth), I get your point.

  • i felr jason becker

  • Impellitteri's a fuckin awesome player...i'd put him above yngwie and joe stump, and just below james byrd...

  • this dude is a bad ass guitar player. CTROCK THE HIP HOP ROCK GUITAR ARTIST

  • what effect is that at the 2:00 mark? It's Super Spacey.

  • The keyboard is doubling his line, I don't think he's using any extra effects.

  • Do you have any idea as to the source of this video? Or what its from ?

  • rap music is "dominating" in pretty much north america only because of Payola, just like disco or pop music it will be replaced. White suberbian kids buy up all the cds

how many rappers have done world tours vs any genre or rock from metal to hard rock

  • Ripping!

  • Can't please everybody all the time chris, but i'm always liking your tunes, thank you.

  • Are you retarded? id like to see a video of you trying it then buddy =D, were watin on ya now, since ur a master and all

  • So what you are saying is you didn't even listen to the song

  • Retarded guy speaking --> I wouldn`t waste my time learning this "song" blah blah blah...

Translation --> I'll never be able to play this song because I'm shit, I admit it.

Retarded guy speaking --> ...it has no melodic content and I reiterate - sounds s.h.i.t.

Translation --> Besides retarded, I'm also deaf.

  • I just keep it going

Retarded Guy--> There is no pattern or phrasing, just a mess

Translation-->anything other than verse-course-verse-bridge-chorus is beyond me

  • Steve Stevens kicks ass to all this ridicoulous malmsteen clones! Che palle!

  • darkyyyyyyyyyyyyy damn greattttttt

  • i like 28 - 40 sec

  • Impellitteri is the BEST! Good Luck Shreders!

  • IMPELLITTERI, you're awesome...

  • I was also not aware that one could have "tasteful" shredding.

  • you're a moron...

  • you're a moron...

  • Oh and some lunkhead milking a note out of tune is "tasteful"?

  • Music is like basketball. Its dominated by African Americans. Before you start hating on me, I dare you to prove me factually otherwise.

  • I dare you to name one black musician that wasn't tailoring their music to one color of people. Blues/rap/R&B are all tailored to blacks more or less. Aside from the single black vocalist in metal that I know of off the top of my head (From Killswitch Engage) there is really no "black" music that tailors to other races. They don't dominate it, it's just a more common find for rap, then speed/shred metal.

  • Sorry, I meant to say POPULAR music. Which is shit.

  • They dominate monkey music.

  • Steakfinger, you hear those spacey overtones on the keyboard?

There are jazzy elements throughout the song

and the "bulldower" is from the heavy shredding

Of course you wouldn't be able to tell since you are obviously deaf

  • This is a total shredfest, this cat can shred, rock-on Chris!

  • Man does anyone know where you can get impellitteri tabs on the net, ive looked tonz of times and I can only find a few songs.

  • speed = intensity = passion = music

  • bgtocak.. batio once said..ive never heard a person who can shred say..speed sucks..

besides..speed is important to express urself better musically... altho its not the only element...Impellitteriis sumone who has amazing feel as well

  • bgtocak.. batio once said..ive never heard a person who can shred say..speed sucks..

  • ...It's called shredding

The speed limit for playing guitar is up to the guitarist

If you can play fast without sacrificing quality, then go for it

Impellitteri is one of those guys

He can play fast and sound amazing

  • Actually most shredders try to use speed to express themselves musically not just for speed's sake; I've never seen any shredder who thinks that they aren't doing something very musical even if no one agrees with them

  • What's the matter, your ears too slow? ;) This is some of the most tasteful shredding I've ever heard.

  • Can anybody sings what he played?

  • sure can...

  • very good ,

tiene muy buena tecnica ,rapides y mucho feeling!!!!!!!!!chris for ever

  • Most people got the technique and speed, but I think Malmsteen got the sound of the true neo-classical... Heard a lot of guitarist, but when it comes to the sound, i think Yngwie guitar sound is amazngly sweet...

  • He's got to be in the top 5 !

  • He's lame because the first 10 seconds of this song literally is the same thing as his other song, Screaming Symph.

    That's pretty pathetic.

  • Silly people. Impellitteri is the fastest alive since Shawn Lane died. He is a great player who, yes, does rely on superspeed, but he has good control of phrasing and can play beautifully slowly as well. People need to listen with their own ears and have some original thoughts...

  • That classic fender shred tone. Gotta love it.

  • Awesome!!! Killer guitarist and Danerage, you don't know what your talking about.

  • minchia quanto e' noioso!!!!!!!

  • the 2 first minutes are beautiful.

  • Shred fest !

  • oh god he needs to stop with that sclae over and over -the funny thing is he does seem to have some different licks and that string skipping was pretty good -hes a good player but those alternate picked scales are basic and he does them every 2 seconds...its kind of sad when players dont advance theyre technique with innovation ...

  • its mathimatically correct, and it sounds very satisfying to me. what else matters?

  • Yngwie lost a lot of weight for this video.

  • no, actually this video cost him a kidney..

  • I have almost all IMPELLITTERI songs. Maybe we could share the missing ones. And ryuinjiens, I got it. Give me your e-mail, and I´ll send it to you. ok?

    Regards, R3!

  • hey, im also a HUGE fan of impellitteri... however, me living in china (although im not chinese) makes me obtaining impellitteri music very hard.. can you please send me some of impellitteri's musics? by the way... i already have the albums system X, pedal to metal, stand in line and the very best of impellitteri.. lol wish you could help me ^^

  • Hey, give me your e-mail and I´ll send it to you, ok? :D

    Bye bye,

    R3

  • Chris rocks!

  • Chris rules! Same stuff for 20 years my ass! He's TONS more melodic than he was 20 years ago, but still SHREDS RADICALLY AMAZINGLY! I don't think ANYONE, including YNGWIE shreds as MELODICALLY as this dude!

  • i have to disagree this is the same old licks over and over

  • Too bad the haters haven't heard his albums. He writes amazing songs, AND his solos are all shreddy and wanky.

Don't hate what you don't understand, i've been listening to his band for about 10 years now and the albums are absolutely not vehicles for solos.

  • Never heard of Chris until GuitarOne Mag June 2007 did a piece on him. Even though shred is not my favorite style, this guy is amazing.

  • Please, stop these guitar-killers! Guitar is a musicas instrument, and music is a kind of art. If you take a guitar with a different purpose, you are a real stupid, because it has no sense!

  • I love this guy

BUT same stuff for more than almost 20 years?

    give me a break

  • i agree, yagwie is still playing the same licks too after 20 years

  • I hate these 80's guitar speed riffers, it is more boring than lawn growing.

  • You must be a three chord jerk off artist who does not like to practice?

  • man all u ppl talkin crap need to shut the hell up if u dont like it dont watch it

  • I like it, he's just not a good player.

  • if u dont think hes a good player then u dont know anything bout music

  • More than you, otherwise you wouldn't make that statement. He can play fast but he can't write his own music or improvise.

  • all his music was written by himself you retard no one else wrote it for him

  • Pwn to Danerage ahaha

  • affff.. sucks

  • This is fucking boring he does always the same boring speed picking licks like malmsteen!!! Ohh and btw where is the jazz part in this song???

  • AMEN BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this guys speeds to much sometimes, it becomes almost ridicoulous and he should know that.

  • woops, someone really blows at playing guitar... yes im talkign about chris imellitter

  • Passion grace and fire

  • one word for this playing and video POOP!!!!

  • He`S pretty good, but I will take my John Petrucci.

  • The beginning part is absolutely.. AWESOME. That guitar crying nearly brought tears to my eyes.

  • ahahahahah! yeah i especially cried in that sweet descending scale. IT was so beautiful that im starting to crie again.

  • dude this guy is freaking crazy at shredding, but thats all it is, i dont hear anything except a bunch of rapidly played notes, which is impressive dont get me wrong, but i find it sorta boring after what, 2:00? =P

  • although it sounds liek a blur of random notes believe you and me its not any random note. if it was anyone can do it

  • What great control. He makes it look easy.

  • what the fuck, it doesn't have anything to do with jazz....it should call Space Boring Neoclassic Buldozer....Frank Gambale would kill him

  • Frank Gambale couldn't play his way out of a nut-sack! And you're a fag for liking him!!! you hear me??! I called you a faggot!

  • best fucking shred video ive ever seen!!!

  • fucking awsome!!

  • Yeah and I think hes gaining more popularity recently man. I love Impellitteri!

  • He's Just Great!

  • And he has sex appeal for the mainstream to boot. Like Vai, attractive.

  • Great video; Always liked his playing, even if it does sound like what's his name at times; Still awesome!
