itś an amazing guitar, i got one too. I just don't understand why everybody plays always that surf on it.. it sounds really great voor stoner shoe gaze and stuff too! all my friends got a jackson, they sound all the same , i got my jazzmaster, it doesn't matter what i play, it always sounds better (H)

what's the difference between a USA made and a Mexican made Jazzmaster?

the american has a slightly different tone and a little bit better built and the metal is of better quality

But the jazzmaster again, is not just for surf music. Check some of the heavier Sonic Yoth songs out and you'll see. Also, Dino Jr. and My bloody valentine uses Jazzmaster.

Jazzmaster is used in a lot of genres, shoegaze, gothic rock, jazz, blues and alot more, not only surf. I like some surf, but guess it's just matter of taste.

Jazzmaster and Jaguar guitar is a real classic of Fender.

Is very versatil, in my opinion much more than Gibson Les Paul.
