  • I am SO turning this into a cadence to march my platoon to, lol

  • 2:18. Utter brilliance, lol.

  • Sam: *glancing up at the Eye* How does He even stand it??

  • lol i love the echo part

  • Not bad.....I'm glad Im not the only one who LOVES this song. I would have loved it if they put it in P.J.'s ROTK. I always loved the music from the Rankin Bass versions.

  • 2:18

Sauron: Confounded orcs! I don't pay you to sing!

Orcs: You don't pay us at all...

  • Good stuff

  • Sauron: (sigh) same song every time

  • 8 people will be whipped

  • lol

  • Words cannot describe how awesome this is. :D

  • wait was the song really in the extended edition

  • @helmsplitter0233 nvm... lol

  • @monkeyman2221 and @LordManda2 -- close, it's actually the Rakin Bass Return of the King. It is quite silly, though, but many growing up in that era might've enjoyed it as a child.

  • what movie is this from

  • @monkeyman2221 The song is from Ralph Bakshi's Return of the King, a 1970's animated movie. It gets wrong so many things, like adding songs like these to what are supposed to be savage bloodthirty orcs, giving the Witch King a silly Starscream-style voice, sub-par animation, mispronounced names and barley any blood.

  • @LordManda2 actually it's Ranking Bass' ROTK. Ralph Bakshi did a nice version of Fellowship of the Ring.

Well, would you expect savage bloodthirsty orcs and lots of blood in a children's film, that was follow-up to their animated adaptation of Hobbit.

    Plus, this song is cool.

  • @ResurrectedTemplar I don't know about "Return of the King", but the Hobbit had a lot of songs in it and those were from the actual book itself.

  • it is a good song wish they did it in the real movie

  • HAHAHA this is epic! Best part is when you hear the orcs starting to come around the corner and Sam turns....awesomeness

  • call me crazy, but I really like this song. It's like an addiction, the wierd tune and incredibly wierd lyrics auctually draws me in, If I had never seen the Jackson version, I'd say the version with this song is the best.

  • hahaha!!! You did an excellent job!

  • THIS IS AMAZING

  • Man, one of the things that really disappointed me about the live action movies was the lack of music. Characters singing songs was in important part of the books. They could have included a little bit of that in the movies. This video brought a little of that and a good deal of nostalgia, so yeah, lots of win.

  • Sam: "You see, mr Frodo, some luck at last"

*Dundundundun* *whiplash* *dun, dundun* *Dundundundun* *whiplash* *dun, dundun*

    Sam(thinking): "What the hell...?"

  • epicness....just plain epicness lol

  • only if this was in the actual movie lol

  • 2:18 Rofl at the Eye of Sauron I believe in his mind he was saying " Shut up you blasted orcs or I'll throw you into mount doom.'

  • 0:53 is hilarious

  • I love this especially when it echos all throughout Mordor!

  • Could you imagine a horde of deformed humanoids pouring down a mountain slope, and what would sauron's inspector say 'whats that catchy tone coming from the hill' Sauron ;eyes rolling; ' that's just my music band practicing for the karaoke this week. Gondor and Rohan can eat their hearts out'. now lets listen

Where's there's a wipe, there's a way. Sauron says 'this is the tune that turned me to the darkside. you won't get these beats Minas Trith'

  • @mochababy2 you mean: Sauron ; EYE rolling?

  • I want to go to New Zealand to see the giant tower with the eyeball on it.

  • Very well done

  • the orks are boogy-ing at the disco

BWAHAHAHAHA!!! and now the orcs in pea green bell bottoms just popped into my head unnessisarily lol

  • Wow. This is awesome. :)

  • I LOVE this video. Work has been very annoying and depressing this last week and all I have to do is play this and I'm happy again!!!!! It's awesome! (Oh, I love the care with which the tune is matched to the movements!)

  • Fucking funny!

  • ...the 5ppl that disliked this video do not believe in spanking their children :P

  • ...great combo but i would of like better video quality... thxs anyways :)

  • Awesome, the way you combined the awesomeness of two movies is staggering. Thank you a thousand times.

  • thumbs up if you found this on some car's fb profile

  • I suppose jackson could have added something like this. But there are a few reasons against it.

    1. He wasn't trying to make a musical

    2. Orcs have really terrible singing voices

    3. "We don't wanna go to war today" That makes them a bit less intimidating methinks

Though the part where Sam tricks the orcs into fighting a battalion of men was awesome.

  • @Lathox They aren't inherently evil, though.

  • Well done!

  • They have beautiful voices for orcs don't they

  • not bad for orcs but id rather be listening to a good old hobbit song myself xp

  • At 0:34 Sam had to stop himself from covering his ears xD

  • If Sam's and Frodo's voices weren't different, I would have actually thought this was part of the deleted scenes XD

  • BEAUTIFULLY MADE!!!!

  • Its so catching!!

  • THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN EASTER EGG ON THE DVD! I never thought I'd think my Extended Editions were lacking, but seriously now . . . XD

  • 5 people dislike the lord of the lash and say nay nay nay!

  • 2:18 Sauron is like "fucking Orcs i forbidden them to sing for hunderts of years together with peeling onions" My danm Eye is burning red

  • @ac3b1s

    it looked more like.

"Where the hell is that coming from?"

  • I BOW TO YOU GOOD SIR!!!!

  • I would have died of laughter if that had actually been in the movie

  • Frodo: Can you hear that?

    Sam: aw shit...

    Orcs: WHERE THERE'S A WHIP THERE'S A WAY :D

  • Orcs loose their scary when backed by snappy disco music.

  • @TechUnadept Nonsense. It makes them even more scary. After all, if they can coordinate a choir, who says they can't coordinate a military maneuver?

  • @TechUnadept

    Who said Disco isn't scary?

It was so scary in fact that it had to be stopped before 1980

  • Hahaha awesome!

  • welcome to the military

  • I need to watch these movies again. I haven't watched them in years.

  • @IchBinDieKaiser Don't expect to find this song in there, though.

  • 2: 18

    *Hears the singing*

    Sauron: WTF?

  • I laughed so hard at the far off shot with Sauron lookin around. Fantastic idea!

  • this is so awesome words escape me

  • ahaha this actually made me laugh out loud irl ^^

    Genius!

  • Awe come on Sam! Everybody loves orcish disco!

  • BRILLIANT!

  • ..NICELY DONE!...

  • This made me cry tears of happiness. I know a lot of people say the animated LOTR is horrible, but if I had not seen it as a kid, I don't think I would have read the books in my preteen years. So, even though Peter Jackson's is probably a little bit more accurate, this one holds a special place in my heart. It was actually very easy for me to criticize the newer movies because I am such a hardcore fan of the books.

  • sam: is it me or is there something different with the orcs?

    Frodo: your just too paranoid

    Sam:mmm i dont know...just listen to them!

  • this could have been put in the film so easily the extended i mean alot of scenes from 1970s lord of the rings both like the bilbo party greeting ,the scene in the prancing pony where frodo vanishes, where the hobbets hide in the cartoon to surprise gandalph stupid i know but in the live action animated films made there way into the new film 30 years later but thats ok warner bros owns new line basicaly and the cartoons so i guess thats why they where able to us it as a bases for certain things

  • @xxxbobafett666xx

what about the book? no chance jackson took anything from it?? noo way! right? XD

  • I odn't remember this part in the actual film... What? Deleted scene?

  • @BeveragesAfterNine cheesy song from a 1970 lord of the rings put on a scene from the extended...

  • @alahad No, I know the song, that's how I found the clip. The clip itself is not in the actual film. But thanks though!

  • @BeveragesAfterNine Not in the original no, but it is on the extended version DVD. Minus the song.

  • @eagle219406

Peter Jackson will burn in hell for this.

Anyone who skips on the music that was also in the book btw, should be held upside down by their toes and the hairs on their feet shaven smoothed like a babies bottom.

  • @alahad Cheesy?! How DARE you sir! Those lyrics are from the book!

  • @Akeche well... is not the lyrics that I find cheesy as hell but the tune... its disneyish as hell...

    greets

  • @alahad Hey, it's the cheesiness of the tune that makes it for me. The contrast between the orcs and the "whistle while you work" perkiness of the song is hysterical and perfect

  • @XKKCL call it cheesy if you want. . .

  • @Akeche It says where there's a whip, there's a will. And this movie was lame. All Rankin Bass movies since Santa Claus is coming to town have generally been terrible.

  • @Akeche So is Tom Bombadil, and yet they didn't include him either.

    :C

  • Incredibly good editing.

  • Ha ha! Awesome edit! Well done!

  • Brilliant!

    WHIP!

  • THIS IS BRILLIANT!!

  • Well done man - that was cut so perfectly.

  • oh my gosh. this is amazing. well done, my friend. well done.

  • epic win

  • But the lord of the lash says NAE NAE NAE! so cheesy.

  • so fucking funny. rotfl

  • Sauron: "You have got to be kidding me"

  • The funniest part is Frodo and Sam's reactions to the music starting haha XD great video!

  • You can just tell that sam is thinking "WTF" at :17

  • You should do the other songs from the cartoon as well. This came out fantastic!

  • omfg i love u 4 this it AWSOME!!!!!!!!

  • I like how when the orcs hobble they look like they are skipping gleefully lol

  • Steikje,kor stilig :D Liker den sangen.

    Bra jobba :)

  • omg XD

  • Sauron "sigh....the orcs are singing again....."

  • this is put together brilliantly! i laughed at the zoom out of saurons eye with the song echoing in the background XD that was a nice touch there!.

  • I often repeat that echo part when I watch this video. It's hillarious! The crowning jewel for an awsome crossover video.

  • i didn't know about this scene, where did this come from?

  • Only in the extended edition I believe.

  • I still have the biggest, dorkiest grin on my face from this. GREATEST SONG FROM A MOVIE EVER!! :D

And am I the only one who thinks that the "lord of the lash" looks kind of like Richard O'Brien? O_o

  • FAN-TAS-TIC!!!!!! Oh I love it. Loved the rankin movie and the new one but I was so in the mood to see the whip seen. Cool work! Too bad you could not do the engaging scene between the humans and the Orcs But I know that would have been impossible.

  • Lol at :17 Sam's like 'WTF???"

  • This had to be done, and you did it! I will now quote Mooseboy018: "EPIC."

    haha thanks for this!

  • nice

  • EPIC!

  • @MetaPunkXP u got a point man nothing in a movie seems scary till u see it in real life

  • It is so awesome to find out that Peter Jackson tried to recreate this scene from the book! And it is so awesome, olabuske, that you melded Jackson's adaptation with the Rankin & Bass adaptation! Five stars, sir.

  • I challange you to make a music video for Styxx - Lords of the rings! This is the best mix of video and music; since the Animated Flash Gordon\Queen video!

  • lol nice

  • Thanks for this. As amazing as Jackson's movie was I missed this song xD.

  • why is this song so catchy?

  • @ nwojunkie - "why is this song so catchy?"

...probably because you're a masochist and there is a whip involved. = )

  • @nwojunkie

    It's a Rankin/Bass song. They're always catchy!

  • awesome

  • The audio is from the 1980 animated version of the LOTR. just thought i'd throw that out there for the kids who may not realize that it existed. It was cheesy, but definitely gave me some nightmares when i was little. And on the plus side it had lots of Awesome Songs!

  • lol this song is like the "They're taking the Hobbits to Isengard" song. At first you're like "what?!?" and gradually it grows on you. :P

  • haha this is really good

  • ROOOOFL

  • wow, thats great :D

  • HAHAA

  • LOL at 2:18

  • This should have been in the actual film.

  • @Humbledingify Or maybe it could be a in a Broadway musical version of "the Return of the King".

  • Hilarious and well put together 6/5 stars

    :-P

  • my favorite part was when the bird nosed guy said at least they gave us provisions for our packs that orc food is enough to turn a rodent sick

  • The opportunity didn't come...

  • yet...

  • this is fuckin' amazing!!! thanks for the upload!

  • ^.^ That's AWESOME

    Good job!

  • omg, I can't stop laughing! that was brilliantly done. 5 shiny stars all the way.

  • lol i cant take it anymore id rather be singing a good hobbit song myself.

  • that part is what put me harder in laughter.

  • Lol it'd be really funny if they actually did add in that song when the orcs came marching and Sam was just like "WTF!?"

  • I love this song. Great job making it flow with the video!

    10/10

  • 0:15 I love when the music starts and Sam is like "WTF?"

  • I'd piss my pants if I were standing next to an orc.

  • this was so baddazz

  • Jackson's version needed songs so badly. Think about it - "Wizards in White", duet with Gandalf and Saruman, "I'm just a blonde ninja elf" etc...

  • This song is addictive...

    5/5

  • great job, hillarius echo in the valley, you can just imagine Sauron in his bower, nodding along in rhythm, smiling smugly if he had the lips.

Idea: edit the mouth of Sauron into a new version, and other footage of Armies (though using the same clips does mesh it better with the cartoon)

Did you try to match the "2nd class Orc racism" scene with Jacksons? Oh, right. You'd have do something clever to get Frodo out.

  • thats great! nice job.

  • EPIC! XD

  • Love the 3 second part where you hear them singing from the valley in echo :D haha

  • Heh. I was planning to do this a while ago. Seems you beat me to it. Very nice!

  • win.

  • I didn't know the song came from a cartoon series? I thought there had only been one film before Jackson's and it was mixing cartoons & rl shadow-like figures, but never heard cheesy tunes ever.

    anyways, nice editing

  • They did cartoon for the Hobbit and Return of the King and the cartoon w/ shadow figures for the Fellowship and Two Towers which were combined into one movie.

  • rofl @ 2:18

  • Comment removed

  • this stays in your head the whole day because it is so catchy I love it!

  • Wow, this is pretty amazing! And so nostalgic!

When I was little I watched the animated versions of The Hobbit and The Return of the King so often I wrecked the tapes! That was when my brother finally told me there were books for the trilogy...

  • Spot on!

  • OMG ITS PERFECT!!!!! VERY WELL DONE!!! but i still think the Return of the King cartoon is better; but dont get me wrong the jackson version is very good ^^

  • That synth line is so TIGHT. I want one.
