No offence but your music make me fell depressed and starts killing my buzz. Sorry but i like felling happy later emo guy i hope you find your way in this great world lol :)
@ItsNOYFB thanx for the concern mudflap. Maybe someday you'll be able to spell. I understand feeling happy is most important though. Satisfy your most immediate needs and have fun playboy.
@alcoholic714 Yeah nice try grammar nazi but it's spelled thanks not "thanx" Fuck you fail at life just overdose already no one will miss you emo bitch!
coming from sum1 who has gone thru overcoming withdrawls from opiates & having 2 do it multiple times due 2 relapses after i got better & thought i could use again without getting sick or strung out again, My best advice is try 2 find something weak like tramadol & take 4 awhile when u stop oxy or whatever ur on, & take only a small amount so u dont feel so restless & do it until u start feelin better, then stop taking those as well. & most important SMOKE LOTS OF WEED!!!
You're right, its a huge misconception that detox is about cleansing "toxins", when its about reregulating your endogenous opioid system, your body's own natural opioids. If the toxins made you feel bad, how come it only makes you sick when you STOP taking them?? Opioids are actually non toxic in the first place, theres no organ damage from them. The ONLY thing that truly helps is excercise, eg Runners High. Thats why you feel good after jogging
whistleblower reveals cure for opiate withdrawal that has been hidden for over 30 years by big pharma companys so they could make millions off of drugs like methadone and suboxone! Get it now before it gets taken down! NoMoreOpiateWithdrawal d o t c o m
Thank you for sharing all this info. I have been on oxycotin for 6 months now and I am so desperate to get off of this stuff. I am so bad off that if I take one less than I usually do I actually start to feel withdrawal. This crap is a nightmare. And I am just terrified of the pain and depression assoicated with withdrawal. I don't know if I can taper. It takes a lot of guts to taper. So I don't know.
@87teebee Your right the only way to get off is to ask Jesus for help !!!!!! I have been on Methadone for 8 years, And i got on my Knees and prayed everyday, I didn't go cold turkey, Start to go down slow, You will make it ! It says in the Bible if any man or women ask in Jesus name for something it sha be giving ! I am my old self now, I am living prof prayer works, I have about 1000, 10, meths in the other room, But Jesus has taken that Devil and Flush his ass in the toilet GOD BLESS
Not trying to run your channel Bro. Just trying to save my life. I may start a video that walks through this whole ordeal with Suboxone & my Dr. I know I purposely Relapsed Junk 1 day and the respritory was fine? Energy was too. Sometimes I can't lift my head for days or get out of bed. I'm tryin all vitamins but nothing. These are Powerfull Opiates! Anyways, Thanks for the vid! We probably live different lives but One Blood. I will Document all I can and Blessings Bro! Suboxone info is little!!
Bong. I am a Christian but on Soboxone. I had a short lelapse & That's what was given, My Dr. Said we could wean off easily. After 1 1/2 yrs I am still fighting it. Is Subutex easier or worse? I have had Phuemonia & 5 Respitory infections. Sometimes I can't get out of bed for 2 days. I get stuck in 16-24 hr nightmares. Does Subutex cause this? I have an appointment 20 days. I need to know how to talk to my Doc. What side effects with Subutex, Should I move to it? Shout out Alcho714 GB, Bro. B
@sOuLunSettled Prayer is the answer !! The Devil has you by your balls, Get on your knees and repent, And ask Jesus for help, I will pray for all of your SOULS
alchoholic714, thank you for posting brother. when I am in a "place" where I can start my release of this sickness, I am going to use your method.
Seems our situations are reversed a bit. I smoked heavily, for at least 10 years, everyday, weed, and drank, but only drank in moderation. I gave that up due to panic attacks..and moved on to the pills as a crutch. now they are running my life.
its a catch 22 because I have psoriatic arthritis, and hurt badly every day. see u on the other side bro.
im in day 4 of going cold turkey on 18 15mg oxy's a day. im in fuckin hell my legs and knees get tingly annoying pain that makes me spaz out and wanna fuckin scream. i cant lay down at night i toss and turn and throw my arms and kick. it keeps me awake for days at a time. Pot helps relax your mind so you dont flip out as much. thank goodness i bought the vaporizer. but pot is expensive $20 a gram i would kill that in one day. If u do go cold turkey be prepared mentally cause your in for a ride.
@Mr83191 hey I saw your post, did you kick that shit or what?
I am taking 5 norco a day and cant stop. its so little but it is the night jimmy leg that
fucks with me. I tried to cut it back about 6 months ago and by noon I was a pissed off mofo. I quit drinking cold turkey 16 months ago, and stopped smoking pot after 30 years cold turkey 11 years ago, but this has a hook in me.
I really like smoking weed too much to start doing that again, just to get off the opiates. bad back, osteo arthritis
@marvintheboon It was the most difficult thing i had every had to do... Go cold turkey from Oxycodone. There was alot of Spazing out, screaming, pacing, crying, rocking myself back in forth in bed, sweating, insomnia every night, but the most difficult, the absolute most difficult thing to get over was my restless legs.. I would want to dose myself just to stop my legs from keeping me awake.. If i had to do it again, i would remove 1 pill a day and then deal with my hell from there...
@marvintheboon Hey please let me know how you are doing know. I would really appreciate. Thanks so much. I just need as much advice and support as possible.
@Sunflower7602 I tried using pot to ease the pain, but it just made me zone out, and eat too much.
I really thought this was going to be a winner, but just goes to show, the opinions on line are sometimes just to justify the legalization, for the recreational use, not replace the narcotics.
my rotator cuff is screaming lately with the weather.
@marvintheboon Thanks for responding back. I have never really liked pot. It's always given me a headache. Somebody told me to stay drunk during the first few days which of course are the worst. I can't imagine doing that. Because you would be so nauseous from withdrawal. But tomorrow I am going to try and start weaning myself. I am going to give it my all. It's either that or cold turkey detox. Oh are you still completely off of painkillers? Thanks!
@Sunflower7602 I haven't tried to stop taking them yet. At 56 I have a real good
idea of how my system reacts to changes of this type, so I didn't try to ease off. I was planning on using the pot to distract my mind while i weaned off the Vicodin.
I really am surprised I didn't meet my goal of replacing my meds with the pot, and eventually stopping the pot also.
Since I quit smoking back in 1999, I assumed all this time, I would be able to use the medicinal MJ, but the relief is not as immdiate
I thought that if I could find a steady supply, and the Gov't authorized the use for prescribed patients only, I could benefit, but the power of time has revealed it's properties as being mostly anecdotal. I am taking 5 pills a day, so I have a small habit, but it is still got a hold on me. For now, I have to cross pot off the list of alternatives, unless it is legal and available by RX.
I hope you don`t recommend this splitting of pills to oxtcontin users. When you split them they go directly to your blood full on, not safe at all. I don`t know about other pain killers, but now you know why pain docs are needed to make sure you know the risks of these things.
How have you been lately???, I still need to get off Methadone, But I am of a much more advance addict than you were. I have been using opiates from the age of 15.,,,I am 30 and still using.
I had a vegetable juicer from a past relationship LMAO!!! HAHAHA LOL *Rolling on the floor laughing*... I do not know why but what you said there was too funny. I'm sorry. Vegatable Juicer from a past relationship... OH man....
ever thought of suboxones?? they are ur savior when coming off any opiate!! a must have. if u didn't already know, it's a taper off drug.. start with half pill in the a.m. then half in the p.m. and the next day a lil less the a half in the a.m. and so on. depending how hardcore ur opiate intake was will determine how long you need them. usually only 3-5 days. no physical w/d symptoms; just a smooth come down. LIFESAVER! the other great thing about them - they curve cravings. truly a miracle.
hey so i have a question i have been using subutex...a very strong opiate... for a few months and i have three left... if i break them into small pieces and taper down with that woul that work?
so it didnt work and i have nothing left. heres the story..i used oxys for almomst two years went to rehab and moved and started using dillaudeds and then subutex cause they are stronger and now im fucked im back into my old cycle but not as bad.. i know the withdrawl is going to suck but i dont know.. are there any good muscle relaxors that work good?
subutex is a partial opiate agonist meaning it only partialy effects the opiate receptors. it is not a "very strong opiate" . you will have withdrawls but the more you taper down the easier it will be. also the time you have been on it is a huge factor.
also suboxone and subutex are the same thing basicly they are both buprenorphine but suboxone (the orange ones) have chemicals that disallow the misuse of them such as shooting up or snorting.
the difference between the two is one thign called nalaxone. the opiate blocker. subutex has no opiate bloocker. for me.. my tolerance is pretty low.. subutex fucks me UP
@bonghitsandbigtits use a weed vaporizer-smoke when the attack comes-it works wonders. iam in my 2nd week of withdrawl was only using as prescribed....fuck usa medical system-they are drug dealers.....vaporizing works
This is why we are in Afghanistan. I have never seen so many people on oxys until the war. We are there for the opium, Iraq was for oil. Now we got cheap-er gas and everyone is high! DAMN!!! Good luck to us all!!!
@caddy1010 Yeah, ever see that BBC video of the American soldier in the middle of a poppy field in Afgh. explaining how they help grow and transport the opium?
This sounds like a crazy amount of work! Why not just go cold turkey? I am 58. What is the risk of heart attack while going off of this crap? I'm afraid to go to the professionals - it looks like they will just put me on something else. Has anyone tried going completely off of the stuff and trying to live with the pain?
if you have taken them for a long period of time, quit cold turkey. 99.99999999% chance u will just go right back to them, and probably not a great deal of time off them at all. Physical withdraws hurt, can last months.. and psychological ones are even worse. If you think you're honestly addicted to oxycontin or the likes, then you ARE, and you will not quit cold turkey, period. I type this as a snort a line of oxy myself. Giving this shit up isn't easy. not at all.
@DibbyDab81 If you do try to go cold turkey, The one way for any success is to go to NA meetings, YOU must go 2 the meetings. I have friends that quit there habits of hard pills coldturkey, it would NOT have worked without some type of meeting/support system.. Everything Mirco1 said to you was very true, and what im saying 2 you is also, Goodluck!!
Hey man, congrats on your clean.I take 3 to 6 yellow norcos a day.I tryed lowering the doze but after a while i can't help getting a larger dose. How about this - ill just get 20 Xenex bars and sleep trough the week of withdrawal? you think that's an idea?Let me know what you think .its important for me.
you still need to put a little opiate in your body i say this through experience I'm out of percs (10/325) right now and I'm taking lorazepam and other prescription for sleep and I'm not really sleeping because
of the opiate withdraw. I try to sleep then comes the mud guts syndrome along with uncontrollable sweating and severe pain every where. you might wanna ad a little pain killer the way he described in part 1.good luck man.Peace
im in chronic pain.ive tried to stay of my medzzz but the pain takes away my quality of life!!on the other hand it has taken over my life,i dont know what to do!!i dont like being dependent on these medzzz!!sooo wat can i do?please help.and thanks for the video, sometimes you feel alone on your journy till you see people like you!
if youre going to try and detox at home with out help get some gatorade to drink try and stay away from soft drinks and coffee. because youre pulse rate will be racing as it is while detoxing and thats why you dont sleep at night. and the gatorade is for dehydration. drinking water alone will only flush you even more. thats why you piss youre brains out. in detox they give you a vita pack. its a i v bag with vitamens in it to replace all that you have lost like potassium. write anytime. god bles
Thank you for sharing, I was told smoking which detoxing was a bad idea but your video is so helpful. Thank you and God bless. Good luck on your journey through beating addiction! Remember once an addict always an addict so just keep it up. I have a daughter that is the best reason I could come up with to quit, I felt like I was killing myself, your story is truly inspiring!
I took my last Oxycontin line at 1pm on friday and i'm in fucking hell.
I was on a massive self prescribed dosage. IE I sniffed an 80 or 2 every hour or 2, even waking up halfway through my sleep at night to sniff another 80 and go back to sleep.
My biggest day I took 33 80mg pills, all snorted.
I ran out of money naturally as that's fucking expensive, IF ONLY I COULD HAVE KEPT MY FUCKING TOLERANCE DOWN. I'm a well off guy but now I have fucking NOTHING and i'm sicker than ever
with a tolerance that high. you really need to go to the emergency room and check into a detox through them. they have them even if you dont have insurance. because simply you will get dehydrated doing that much detoxing and it will last a good two weeks to thirty days by doing it at home by youreself. its a miracle that you are not dead if you really did that much. im not calling you a liar but that is the highest dose ive ever heard of somebody being on. good luck and get some gatorade now.
for every time I dose, time I go to bed, awake and even for each bowel movement. Which by the way have returned to a normal frequency. I also PT, sounds crazy, but I can't start a day without a run and then some iron work. But yeah, this is the hardest battle of my life and I have lived downrange for such lengths that I sometimes thought I was never coming home. Anyway, thanks for the inspiration and to all else - LET'S KICK IT! HOOYAH!
if anyone's in too much pain where they cant stand it call dr michell k naficy... nicest docter EVER he will help u out definantly he perscribes suboxin 8millis but fuckit it worth not going through the kicks am i right... thats shits horrible im never gonna go through that pain ever again!
I just made it thrugh my first night with out any Vicodin...I was on Methadone and oxycodone for a year and a half for pain. I have no outlet but I want to quit. I have heart disease and I weaned my self from 30 mg methadone to 60 vicodin in a week. I tapered down to one vicodin a day.How long can I expect the poops and the jumping out of my skin to last?
Once you're down to one vic a day you have to start breaking them into pieces. Subtracting a 16th every 3 to 4 days. Withdrawals have no set time period. They will come and go in a very fickle manner. Your body will throw temper tantrums to get you to go back up in dose. You must resist the temptation, otherwise you will relapse. Unfortunately with a heart condition you are walking a very thin tight rope. Be very careful. You may have to consult a doctor.
I wish I had half the will power some of you do...I do not know how to beat this. Everytime I try...I cave. The cravings are so intense, the withdrawls are crippling. when I start with the withdrawl symptoms, I try to stay strong, but all I can think about is how much better I would feel if I just swallowed 2 of those yellow demons. And then....I do. I am 30 years-old and have NEVER been addicted to anything, until now, it's been 2 years. It is destroying my families finances....it's pathetic.
that is very true, have a positive frame of mind that is excited about the future, not dreading it. Our minds can make us sick, with or without the opiate. If u can truly convince yourself in your mind that you are better off without, your body will follow in step. I have broken habits and formed others, though all can be broken with mental perserverance and some tolerance of discomfort. KEEP PUSHING!!
Do you remember when you would run out? Felt like Crap, didn't you? Do you remember how you felt when you knew you were going to score some ? You felt great, didn't you ? Be strong mentaly and it will help a bit. Just remember its only for a few days then its over with.
i'd rather die then spend a night in withdrawal. i have nausea, migraines, depression, anxiety and horrible shits, chills, cold sweats, dilated pupils, and i have run out of options, money, and pills. what can i do? anyone?
its Not just another addiction if you wanna get clean, u take suboxone responsibly, like a quarter a day every other day, it shouldent get u high & helps u beat the withdraw. worked for me n that was 6 months ago i got off it, withdraw free.
No, do NOT ask about Suboxone, it is just another addiction. I tried it for opiate addiction, and it was stronger than vicodin. I got pretty high+was nodding off.
my boyfriend has an oxycontin addiction. i have never had a drug addiction, so it's hard for me to understand what he going through. all i want is for him to stop before it gets way out of control. any advise for how i can get him to stop?
punch him in the mouth this shit will ruin your and his life with a quickness but hell be one hunnit percent sure it wont affect him in the least bit trust me knock some sense into him
Just want to give a piece of advice. Nobody can "understand" what he is going through. Imagine the pain of drowning in water and relate that to what his body goes through when he doesn't take the medicine, that's why he needs more. Your body requires it to function normally. Withdrawal is sort of like dying but living through the death over and over and over again. SO stop trying to understand what he is going through and get him help, mine came as Suboxone. His may be different, talk to a Dr.
i quit a 4 year oxycontin habit last month, withdrawals barely let up last week. it was a living hell for almost a whole month and i still have really bad cravings. get off opiates now before they ruin your life.
by me looking at this i guess you can see im looking for help, im soon to be 44 and overweight, smoke like a fiend and also use lorazapam for anxiety in small doses. currently using 6-10 10mg percocete a day. i want to ween off it,im also afraid of what will happen to my body "i.e. heart attack " from quitting unexpectedly, any info would be greatly appreciated
Yeah, ur endorphine factory is down. So u need some buprenorphine(Subutex is better thatn Suboxone) or some other OPI in ur system to level out ENDORPHs and cortizone.I cant stay on bupe..I keep Rxing myself hydrocodone.I can Rx anythong:but i tries it all and HCD is the best. Volkov MD
I'm so glad to see videos like this. I battled with an opiate/painkiller addiction for close to 4 years. Towards the end I was taking 60 Vicodin 5/500's a day. I would ingest 13 at once every 3 hours or so. Your suggestion to "sabotage" where you get them from is what I did. I fronted about $400 worth total from several connections and never paid it. I hated to have to do it that way, but I had to get rid of my connections if I was going to beat it.
I quit cold turkey, flat out. Went through hell for about a month. Couldn't sleep, had the shits constantly, entire body ached, vomiting, constantly cold.
But ANYONE can quit. Like you said, you just have to WANT to quit and stick to it. It's been almost 2 years and I still think about it sometimes. But that's where it ends. Memories more than anything.
It took about a year for my mind to completely go back to "normal".
So thank you again for giving people hope with this. :)
its hard to kick painkillers, esp for us whove done so many for so long everyday, once u pull the plug its the worst hell imaginable. the longer you, the more awesome its going to feel once you relapse. and its so easy to end the misery of trying to kick thehabit, jsut take a few pills and everything is normal again. i need to know how many pills people are taking before i know if they really are suffering withdrawls like i do, i was up to 50 norco a day, down now to 18-20, but cant kick totally
50 norco a day?!?! Until I read that, I've never heard of anyone coming close to what I used to take. 60 5/500's a day. 13 at a time every 3 hours.
You can do it man. I'm not gonna sugar coat it...it's the worst thing I've ever gone through. But each day is easier than the one before. I quit my job at the time so that I can go through the withdrawls. I did it cold turkey.
Do you have a support system that doesn't use drugs? Friends? Girlfriend/Boyfriend?
Also, if you ever want to chat with someone who's gone through it, you can message me on AIM. My name on there is Breck Ryan. I'm on a lot and would always be down to help someone in a situation like this in any way I can.
yeah 50 a day, 4 norco and 1 7.5/750 every 2hrs. now down to 3 norco every 3 hrs , or thereabouts. my friend takes 25 norcos at one time. knarly. you were taking alot of acetomeniphen wiht those 500s. i cant take that many i get sick. the norco are good. how long were u on them at the max rate of 60 a day?
I was at 60 a day (13 at a time) for about 5 or 6 months I think. Before that it was 12 at a time and before that it was 11 at a time. I just built up tolerance over the years.
When I was 13 at a time is when I was getting REALLY fucking sick. I would puke when I didn't have them and I would puke when I would take that many. So I figured it was about time to just fucking quit.
ur puking cuz all that acetomeniphen in the 500s. i puked too cuz id have to take so many of those to get a buz,. u need to take norcos 10/325, way way way better,. stronger and not nearly as much acetoamenophen,,.that is if u start up ever
I don't know how to thank you enough man, I don't even remember how long I'v been abusing oxy 10 mg , 1-4 a day crushed n railed and it's scary man, I don't want it anymore The whole thing about the abrupt stop really scares me, im in a position where I can't ween myself off of it, so im taking the produce, water, sleep, relaxin this is Day 1 for me, Thank you for this video
geez man, im sure someone appreciates your video and congrats on getting off the pills. But do you think people who are addicted don't know how to split a pill? Or even someone who's not addicted can split a pill im sure. More effective video could have been telling people about your struggles and how you dealt with withdrawals.
haha, true enough, There are pill splitters and what not. I thought it was useful though to encourage splitting them into tiny pieces. Then again I was drinking heavily at the time.
Hey man. You are an inspiration to all hydro users. I got hooked after being prescribed for legit reasons. My Dr wants me on them for life. I cant take it anymore. I say and do the dumbest shit on these little fuckers
thank u brother, I took 4 500mg APAP, worst days of me life!im withdrawing bad, my body wants opium. i was really scared until I saw this. thank u for the advice
im on painkillers, and im the type were i cant get off of my addiction by myself, im not saying its immpossible, but withdrawl is the hardest thing, and i know its my fault and shyt, for getting hooked, i was young and stupid, but withdrawel i dont take very good, i get nasty, mean ,crazzy.. its bad..! and i think most peaple need help to quit ther addiction n shyt, ,for ppl who can do it by urselves good luck, it takes a whole 5 to 6 days to start feeling betta..!!
Alc, good job man. Just finished a clonidine taper and that made it much easier this time(first time trying it this way, usually use the same method as you on my own).Clonidine helps with the high blood pressure.Drink lots of water and take hot baths with epsom salts for the cold and aches. Been addicted 18 yrs off and on and will probably have to do it again (broke my neck). Anyone out there who is serious about it needs to see your vid.Get off the pk's first- the weed, blow, booze can wait.
I've been withdawing for a few days now and im pretty much at the peak of my withdrawl. Its gotten to a point where i dont want this dependancy anymore. thanks to you for this video and some inspiration to keep me going to quit my addiction. thanks man.

F0xRaC1NgYzf250, Your day will come... Remember your February 2008 comment when you finally realize what you've done to yourself. Good luck man, and I mean it. God Bless you when YOU finally have to quit the SH*T.
Wow, thanks. It's a life and death struggle man. I chose life. I have kids to take care of. They are my motivation. I wish the best for all of you my friend.

Again, I cannot see your point of view. When your endocrines are comprimised and you are tapering, or freshy clean, well, DURING this process it is ESSENTIAL to exercise as this helps those snapses reconnect and do thier job much more quickly.
i quit intravenous hydromorphone injections cold turkey, after 8 months use. tapering just makes u more succeptible to relapse after u quit. if u wanna get off the drugstore heroin, u jump off the horse, u fall, u kick and squirm, and claw your walls and u wake up one morning ane ur endorphins have restored themselves. life goes on.
It's all in the mind. I got hooked on Vicodins after a cancer operation in 1990 in San Francisco. Obviously, I had no trouble getting refills... Then I moved to New Zealand where you can buy codiene over the counter like in the UK and got addicted to "Panadiene Plus". The only way I got off the damn things was to "enjoy the pain" - I know, kind of a wierd way of looking at it. But it worked. Now I've became addicted to pain!!! I could never go back to pain killers..
I do two oxy 80's and day , when i don't have any i cry sometime because of the anxiety , i have been doin this for 5 years , at this level you can't even taper , because your as sick as if you had stopped when you cut the dosage your use to , i need rehab i think , good video though bob marly as i sniff half an 80 , Peace
Every time I ask the doctors if I should stop they reply with "you are dependent, not addicted." I know that I am not taking anything beyond my prescribed amounts but it seems to be an ever growing amount. Every other month or so I am increasing the dose or going up in potency. I did meth for over 2 years and walked away from it cold turkey... but this stuff has its hooks in me bad.... it wouldn't take much for me to start doing illegal stuff for them if they cut me off.
I have been on one opiate or another for more than 3 years now and although I still take them as prescribed, I cannot deny for a second that I can NOT function without them. To even go a couple hours off my "schedule" becomes agony... and every minute beyond that is agony^3.
You know... about 3 years ago I started having back pains and being in the military they went straight to the opiates. They started me on some 5/500s. Less than a year later and 2 back surgeries I was eating 8+ 10/325 a day. Now I am on Oxycodone 30mg 6/day. I still have all the back pains and such, but I am really starting to wonder if after all this time if the pain I feel in my back is not just my addiction or if I really do need the pills.
You're the first person here so far that believes opiate addiction is actually causing pain in your body. I beleive that's true. Physical addiction is something most people don't understand.
Well I do know they contribute to my pain. There have been times when I took more than I was supposed to and ran out early. In one of those cases I had to go 3 days without any sort of opiate and it was the closest thing that I can imagine to hell itself. I put so many other drugs in me in an effort to just sleep through it but the pain was SO intense that nothing cut it, not even to take the edge off.
When you are taking the opiates, they shut down your brain's productin of endorphins...the body's natural pain killer. When you quit taking the opiates, your body goes through a "metamorphisis" (for lack of a better term) until the brain kickstarts producing endorphins again. THIS IS WITHDRAWEL. This is also why you MUST TAPER. Very good, alcoholic 714. Your method is crude but effective. NO ONE should try going cold turkey off of any opiate based drug.
I disagree, cold turkey is the only way to go. you must cut your source out and then deal with what you have caused. I tried tapering many times unsuccessfully finally i decided the only way to quit is to quit. after the 10 worst days in my life i started feelin fine. this was my experience.
Withdrawl symptoms effect different people differently. I think it is safe to say it SUCKS for everyone...but in my case, there was danger of seizure, heart attack, and suicide. Way too much risk in my case (and many like me). I applaud you for succesfully doing it "cold turkey". Wish I could have. But the risk of dying was too great. I say this after my experience of over 20 rehabs, including 12-15 medically supervised "detox" periods. (cont...)
So, good for you, trinalab. I wish I could have done it. But I do think that it would be dangerous for people to try -- especially when they don't have to. Bottom line is, if someone doesn't want to quit, they won't. Many times even when they DO want to quit, they don't. Cold turkey just stacks the odds against you, IMO.
trinalab!..well i totaly agree with the other guy who repliyed to you! i tryed doing it raw in rehab,i refused the methadone,i was using about 2grams of herroin a day an methadone on top.i thought i was going to die,my legs were all over the place kicked my hi fi across the room in a spasam, vomiting constantley, swallod more benzo,s the hot dinners, still not help, then the depression an suacidal thoughts,i was a reck, although i have a freind who dose more herrroin than that daily con:
trinlab..dont no were other reply went..but anyway continued..ya my freind can do cold turkey gets a bit uncomfertble, stomache craps,an he is fine in 3 day WTF??so ya differant 4 all..in my 5th rehab i had withdrawall for 2 months, could not handell it an left, but the cold turkey one .not 4 me,i got straight outta of there an scored a bag to stop the vomitting ect..but well done an respect to you!
Alcoholic, do you have any advice for me getting off this methadone. Now, they said that they could detox me 5 milligrams at a time. I just dont want to do it. I guess you have to want to do it.I mean...I really dont want to get off the stuff. Keep in mind I've been on drugs since I was 13,(I am 27 now) So my addiction is far more progressed than you said yours was,I think? PLEASE REPLY???????
You've been on opiates for 14yrs? You said drugs?? Did you mean opiates? You can get off any drug, if you want to. The methadone clinic suggested tapering 5mg over time. I've seen this b4. You want help but don't really want to quit. You have to commit to quit. Start tapering.
Just getting back with my good family and on my feet financially. You realize it isn't worth it when you are trying to get on your feet and just owing debts to creditors, the bank, etc. I will never go back in fear that I will worsen my financial situation. Not to mention the overwhelming grip the drug has on you.
I have a problem with this crap. Opiate addiction is a serious SERIOUS problem. It actually affects your brain and you experience cravings months after your quit. Tapering would never work maybe temporarily but runs a high risk of relapse. You need counseling a real help.
I praise you on your accomplishment and the fact that you posted it to help others, i to have seen bad times and you are correct on the cutting back on the drug of choice and for you people reading if you like painers and have never taken A OC than dont ever AND I MEAN EVER they are the devil !!! thanks again on the post
Done with them on your own? Thats what you all think. Its not going to happen. Opiates make you insane with out them. I've been clean for month and a half but only with the help of methadone. Which probally is just as bad but I don't have those no money, got to find them, waking up withdrawling everyday problems. I'm stablized.
honestly there is no way I could get down to less then 10mg 4 x's a day any less and I can't funtion, I run a business so I can't efford to take any time off I am planning on using Suboxone, I heard it was non narcotic and the best way to go, I hear methadone is hard then opiates, suboxone users please inform.
I was a moron...after using up to 10 mg of Dilaudid (Hydro-morphone: snorted) for about a month and a half, I abruptly stopped...and the withdrawl symptoms were agonizing. You are right about the gradual reduction, it helps the body ease down. Additionaly, STAY ACTIVE! Weight lifting and running saved me and kept me in top shape while withdrawling!
It's far easier to split pills, even multiple times, with a pill splitter. You can buy pill splitters for just a few bucks at any pharmacy. They work extremely well on any kind of pill. To get down to really tiny doses of pills, you can crush them and divide the piles of powder into smaller doses. Suboxone is great for coming off of opiates.
It can be difficult if you're on it for a long time, but still not nearly as bad as most opioids. It's best used for a short amount of time (about a month) to detox the person off their drug of choice and stabilize. Used that way, there's virtually no withdrawal. Long-term use can indeed cause its own withdrawal, but again, it's generally milder than other opioids. Rush Limbaugh and Artie Lang both used Suboxone short-term to conquer their opiate addictions.
naw homey, like i said on your last video, i was shootin 3 80mg o.c.'s a day for 3 damn years. got on the suboxone program and 36 days of tapering later i was stuck with nothin more than the usual post withdrawel;hot flashes restlessnes, exhuastion, nothin that clonidine, valium and some rest & diet couldnt fix. 6months clean now.
so after 2 months of being clean i relapsed and im back in this fuckin mess its very rare for some people to get off opiates on there own, so for me and everyone else who cant, seek professional help.
my family got involved and i went cold turkey, hardest thing ive done in my whole life. i didnt sleep 1 minute for whole week in half. ive never been in so much pain in my life and i didnt have any energy for a month in half. i wanted to be dead for every minute of the day, and even after all the hell ive been through and how much i dont want to go through it again my mind still thinks of opiates every day.
opiates are a horrible addictions ive tried to taper off pills ever since i started and it didnt work for me, ive been addicted to pills for 2 years until 4 months ago i was up to 2 oxy 80s a day.
I wonder if he is still clean right now?...Opiates are one of the hardest things to stay away from, most people who have had a habit for a prolonged time usually relapse within 6 months or so. (I know, I have been where he is, but way worse) Best of luck to you, my only advice is to go to meetings, NA or AA and get a sponsor, not trying to preach to you, but whiskey and weed might lead you back to pills, you know the saying, one is too many and 1000 is never enough...that goes for all substances
I am still pillfree 2+ years. Ironically enough I am witnessing someone relapse the last few weeks. That drug hypnotizes people. I have told them they are playng with fire.... they acknowleged, but I realize the power of opiates. If I have sugery I will endure the pain rather than take the opiates. Won't get fooled again.
"Sister morphine turn my nightmares into dreams." Nice choice, the real battle- replacing such euphoria. Seems most things pale in comparison. 240 mg OC for 7 years just for shits and giggles... splitting Vicoden? Man up dog, but thanks for your heart.
No offence but your music make me fell depressed and starts killing my buzz. Sorry but i like felling happy later emo guy i hope you find your way in this great world lol :)

coming from sum1 who has gone thru overcoming withdrawls from opiates & having 2 do it multiple times due 2 relapses after i got better & thought i could use again without getting sick or strung out again, My best advice is try 2 find something weak like tramadol & take 4 awhile when u stop oxy or whatever ur on, & take only a small amount so u dont feel so restless & do it until u start feelin better, then stop taking those as well. & most important SMOKE LOTS OF WEED!!!
ineedmuney1 7 months ago
You're right, its a huge misconception that detox is about cleansing "toxins", when its about reregulating your endogenous opioid system, your body's own natural opioids. If the toxins made you feel bad, how come it only makes you sick when you STOP taking them?? Opioids are actually non toxic in the first place, theres no organ damage from them. The ONLY thing that truly helps is excercise, eg Runners High. Thats why you feel good after jogging

alchoholic714, thank you for posting brother. when I am in a "place" where I can start my release of this sickness, I am going to use your method.

Mr83191 1 year ago
@Mr83191 thanks for the reply, I agree about the leg thing.

Sunflower7602 1 year ago
@Sunflower7602 I tried using pot to ease the pain, but it just made me zone out, and eat too much.
I really thought this was going to be a winner, but just goes to show, the opinions on line are sometimes just to justify the legalization, for the recreational use, not replace the narcotics.
my rotator cuff is screaming lately with the weather.
marvintheboon 1 year ago
@marvintheboon Thanks for responding back. I have never really liked pot. It's always given me a headache. Somebody told me to stay drunk during the first few days which of course are the worst. I can't imagine doing that. Because you would be so nauseous from withdrawal. But tomorrow I am going to try and start weaning myself. I am going to give it my all. It's either that or cold turkey detox. Oh are you still completely off of painkillers? Thanks!
Sunflower7602 1 year ago
@Sunflower7602 I haven't tried to stop taking them yet. At 56 I have a real good
idea of how my system reacts to changes of this type, so I didn't try to ease off. I was planning on using the pot to distract my mind while i weaned off the Vicodin.
I really am surprised I didn't meet my goal of replacing my meds with the pot, and eventually stopping the pot also.
Since I quit smoking back in 1999, I assumed all this time, I would be able to use the medicinal MJ, but the relief is not as immdiate
marvintheboon 1 year ago
@Sunflower7602 part 2
Good luck on the wean, MTB

I hope you don`t recommend this splitting of pills to oxtcontin users. When you split them they go directly to your blood full on, not safe at all. I don`t know about other pain killers, but now you know why pain docs are needed to make sure you know the risks of these things.

ever thought of suboxones?? they are ur savior when coming off any opiate!! a must have. if u didn't already know, it's a taper off drug.. start with half pill in the a.m. then half in the p.m. and the next day a lil less the a half in the a.m. and so on. depending how hardcore ur opiate intake was will determine how long you need them. usually only 3-5 days. no physical w/d symptoms; just a smooth come down. LIFESAVER! the other great thing about them - they curve cravings. truly a miracle.

yea they are but they suck coming off of too. it definitly helps to have GANJA and lots of time.

hey so i have a question i have been using subutex...a very strong opiate... for a few months and i have three left... if i break them into small pieces and taper down with that woul that work?
bonghitsandbigtits 2 years ago
I don't think so. I don't know what that is. My guess would be you can't taper a very strong opiate. It has to be weaker like vic 5s
alcoholic714 2 years ago
so it didnt work and i have nothing left. heres the story..i used oxys for almomst two years went to rehab and moved and started using dillaudeds and then subutex cause they are stronger and now im fucked im back into my old cycle but not as bad.. i know the withdrawl is going to suck but i dont know.. are there any good muscle relaxors that work good?
bonghitsandbigtits 2 years ago
subutex is a partial opiate agonist meaning it only partialy effects the opiate receptors. it is not a "very strong opiate" . you will have withdrawls but the more you taper down the easier it will be. also the time you have been on it is a huge factor.
Looterster 2 years ago
also suboxone and subutex are the same thing basicly they are both buprenorphine but suboxone (the orange ones) have chemicals that disallow the misuse of them such as shooting up or snorting.
Looterster 2 years ago
the difference between the two is one thign called nalaxone. the opiate blocker. subutex has no opiate bloocker. for me.. my tolerance is pretty low.. subutex fucks me UP

DibbyDab81 2 years ago
if you have taken them for a long period of time, quit cold turkey. Giving this shit up isn't easy. not at all.
mirco1 2 years ago 2
@DibbyDab81 If you do try to go cold turkey, The one way for any success is to go to NA meetings, YOU must go 2 the meetings. I have friends that quit there habits of hard pills coldturkey, it would NOT have worked without some type of meeting/support system.. Everything Mirco1 said to you was very true, and what im saying 2 you is also, Goodluck!!

you still need to put a little opiate in your body i say this through experience I'm out of percs (10/325) right now and I'm taking lorazepam and other prescription for sleep and I'm not really sleeping because
of the opiate withdraw. I try to sleep then comes the mud guts syndrome along with uncontrollable sweating and severe pain every where. you might wanna ad a little pain killer the way he described in part 1.good luck man.Peace

if youre going to try and detox at home with out help get some gatorade to drink try and stay away from soft drinks and coffee. because youre pulse rate will be racing as it is while detoxing and thats why you dont sleep at night. and the gatorade is for dehydration. drinking water alone will only flush you even more. thats why you piss youre brains out. in detox they give you a vita pack. its a i v bag with vitamens in it to replace all that you have lost like potassium. write anytime. god bles

I'm a well off guy but now I have fucking NOTHING and i'm sicker than ever
jonmccaffrey00 2 years ago
with a tolerance that high. you really need to go to the emergency room and check into a detox through them. they have them even if you dont have insurance. because simply you will get dehydrated doing that much detoxing and it will last a good two weeks to thirty days by doing it at home by youreself. its a miracle that you are not dead if you really did that much. im not calling you a liar but that is the highest dose ive ever heard of somebody being on. good luck and get some gatorade now.

Cheetoh68 2 years ago
Once you're down to one vic a day you have to start breaking them into pieces. Subtracting a 16th every 3 to 4 days. Withdrawals have no set time period. They will come and go in a very fickle manner. Your body will throw temper tantrums to get you to go back up in dose. You must resist the temptation, otherwise you will relapse. Unfortunately with a heart condition you are walking a very thin tight rope. Be very careful. You may have to consult a doctor.
alcoholic714 2 years ago
I wish I had half the will power some of you do...I do not know how to beat this. Everytime I try...I cave. The cravings are so intense, the withdrawls are crippling. when I start with the withdrawl symptoms, I try to stay strong, but all I can think about is how much better I would feel if I just swallowed 2 of those yellow demons. And then....I do. I am 30 years-old and have NEVER been addicted to anything, until now, it's been 2 years. It is destroying my families finances....it's pathetic.
amandam0719 2 years ago
that is very true, have a positive frame of mind that is excited about the future, not dreading it. Our minds can make us sick, with or without the opiate. If u can truly convince yourself in your mind that you are better off without, your body will follow in step. I have broken habits and formed others, though all can be broken with mental perserverance and some tolerance of discomfort. KEEP PUSHING!!

100% sober for almost 2 years now. :)

etidie8 3 years ago
its hard to kick painkillers, esp for us whove done so many for so long everyday, once u pull the plug its the worst hell imaginable. the longer you, the more awesome its going to feel once you relapse. and its so easy to end the misery of trying to kick thehabit, jsut take a few pills and everything is normal again. i need to know how many pills people are taking before i know if they really are suffering withdrawls like i do, i was up to 50 norco a day, down now to 18-20, but cant kick totally
ReedRothchildx 3 years ago
50 norco a day?!?! Until I read that, I've never heard of anyone coming close to what I used to take. 60 5/500's a day. 13 at a time every 3 hours.
You can do it man. I'm not gonna sugar coat it...it's the worst thing I've ever gone through. But each day is easier than the one before. I quit my job at the time so that I can go through the withdrawls. I did it cold turkey.
Do you have a support system that doesn't use drugs? Friends? Girlfriend/Boyfriend?
etidie8 3 years ago
Also, if you ever want to chat with someone who's gone through it, you can message me on AIM. My name on there is Breck Ryan. I'm on a lot and would always be down to help someone in a situation like this in any way I can.
etidie8 3 years ago
yeah 50 a day, 4 norco and 1 7.5/750 every 2hrs. now down to 3 norco every 3 hrs , or thereabouts. my friend takes 25 norcos at one time. knarly. you were taking alot of acetomeniphen wiht those 500s. i cant take that many i get sick. the norco are good. how long were u on them at the max rate of 60 a day?
ReedRothchildx 3 years ago
I was at 60 a day (13 at a time) for about 5 or 6 months I think. Before that it was 12 at a time and before that it was 11 at a time. I just built up tolerance over the years.
When I was 13 at a time is when I was getting REALLY fucking sick. I would puke when I didn't have them and I would puke when I would take that many. So I figured it was about time to just fucking quit.
etidie8 3 years ago
ur puking cuz all that acetomeniphen in the 500s. i puked too cuz id have to take so many of those to get a buz,. u need to take norcos 10/325, way way way better,. stronger and not nearly as much acetoamenophen,,.that is if u start up ever
ReedRothchildx 3 years ago
I don't plan to ever go back to them, so that's not even an option.

geez man, im sure someone appreciates your video and congrats on getting off the pills.

Again, I cannot see your point of view. When your endocrines are comprimised and you are tapering, or freshy clean, well, DURING this process it is ESSENTIAL to exercise as this helps those snapses reconnect and do thier job much more quickly.
TammyToe 4 years ago
i quit intravenous hydromorphone injections cold turkey, after 8 months use. tapering just makes u more succeptible to relapse after u quit. if u wanna get off the drugstore heroin, u jump off the horse, u fall, u kick and squirm, and claw your walls and u wake up one morning ane ur endorphins have restored themselves. life goes on.

ITSLUKEYO 4 years ago
Every time I ask the doctors if I should stop they reply with "you are dependent, not addicted." I know that I am not taking anything beyond my prescribed amounts but it seems to be an ever growing amount. Every other month or so I am increasing the dose or going up in potency. I did meth for over 2 years and walked away from it cold turkey... but this stuff has its hooks in me bad.... it wouldn't take much for me to start doing illegal stuff for them if they cut me off.
XeroKill217 4 years ago
I have been on one opiate or another for more than 3 years now and although I still take them as prescribed, I cannot deny for a second that I can NOT function without them. To even go a couple hours off my "schedule" becomes agony... and every minute beyond that is agony^3.
XeroKill217 4 years ago
You know... about 3 years ago I started having back pains and being in the military they went straight to the opiates.
XeroKill217 4 years ago
You're the first person here so far that believes opiate addiction is actually causing pain in your body. I beleive that's true. Physical addiction is something most people don't understand.
alcoholic714 4 years ago
Well I do know they contribute to my pain. There have been times when I took more than I was supposed to and ran out early. In one of those cases I had to go 3 days without any sort of opiate and it was the closest thing that I can imagine to hell itself. I put so many other drugs in me in an effort to just sleep through it but the pain was SO intense that nothing cut it, not even to take the edge off.
XeroKill217 4 years ago
When you are taking the opiates, they shut down your brain's productin of endorphins...the body's natural pain killer. When you quit taking the opiates, your body goes through a "metamorphisis" (for lack of a better term) until the brain kickstarts producing endorphins again. THIS IS WITHDRAWEL. This is also why you MUST TAPER. Very good, alcoholic 714. Your method is crude but effective. NO ONE should try going cold turkey off of any opiate based drug.
TheOnlyMorgz 4 years ago
I disagree, cold turkey is the only way to go. you must cut your source out and then deal with what you have caused. I tried tapering many times unsuccessfully finally i decided the only way to quit is to quit. after the 10 worst days in my life i started feelin fine. this was my experience.
trinalab 4 years ago
Withdrawl symptoms effect different people differently. I think it is safe to say it SUCKS for everyone...but in my case, there was danger of seizure, heart attack, and suicide. Way too much risk in my case (and many like me). I applaud you for succesfully doing it "cold turkey". Wish I could have. But the risk of dying was too great. I say this after my experience of over 20 rehabs, including 12-15 medically supervised "detox" periods. (cont...)
TheOnlyMorgz 4 years ago
So, good for you, trinalab. I wish I could have done it. But I do think that it would be dangerous for people to try -- especially when they don't have to. Bottom line is, if someone doesn't want to quit, they won't. Many times even when they DO want to quit, they don't. Cold turkey just stacks the odds against you, IMO.
TheOnlyMorgz 4 years ago
trinalab!..well i totaly agree with the other guy who repliyed to you! i tryed doing it raw in rehab,i refused the methadone,i was using about 2grams of herroin a day an methadone on top.i thought i was going to die,my legs were all over the place kicked my hi fi across the room in a spasam, vomiting constantley, swallod more benzo,s the hot dinners, still not help, then the depression an suacidal thoughts,i was a reck, although i have a freind who dose more herrroin than that daily con:

Alcoholic, do you have any advice for me getting off this methadone. Now, they said that they could detox me 5 milligrams at a time. I just dont want to do it. I guess you have to want to do it.I mean...I really dont want to get off the stuff. Keep in mind I've been on drugs since I was 13,(I am 27 now) So my addiction is far more progressed than you said yours was,I think? PLEASE REPLY???????
Jeffluvs80s 4 years ago
You've been on opiates for 14yrs? You said drugs?? Did you mean opiates? You can get off any drug, if you want to. The methadone clinic suggested tapering 5mg over time. I've seen this b4. You want help but don't really want to quit. You have to commit to quit. Start tapering.

I have a problem with this crap. Opiate addiction is a serious SERIOUS problem. It actually affects your brain and you experience cravings months after your quit. Tapering would never work maybe temporarily but runs a high risk of relapse. You need counseling a real help.

Weight lifting and running saved me and kept me in top shape while withdrawling!

oxys acually make you feel high for 12 hours? That makes Vicodin looks like baby candy.
southsider4life13 4 years ago
It's far easier to split pills, even multiple times, with a pill splitter. You can buy pill splitters for just a few bucks at any pharmacy. They work extremely well on any kind of pill. To get down to really tiny doses of pills, you can crush them and divide the piles of powder into smaller doses. Suboxone is great for coming off of opiates.
JoshSitar 4 years ago
I heard getting off suboxone is just as painful.
alcoholic714 4 years ago
It can be difficult if you're on it for a long time, but still not nearly as bad as most opioids. It's best used for a short amount of time (about a month) to detox the person off their drug of choice and stabilize. Used that way, there's virtually no withdrawal. Long-term use can indeed cause its own withdrawal, but again, it's generally milder than other opioids. Rush Limbaugh and Artie Lang both used Suboxone short-term to conquer their opiate addictions.
JoshSitar 4 years ago
naw homey, like i said on your last video, i was shootin 3 80mg o.c.'s a day for 3 damn years. got on the suboxone program and 36 days of tapering later i was stuck with nothin more than the usual post withdrawel;hot flashes restlessnes, exhuastion, nothin that clonidine, valium and some rest & diet couldnt fix. 6months clean now.

Yeah, real down to earth vid, I'm down to four 10/650's a day, tomorrow, I start 3 3/4, in a few more weeks, I'll be done with the bastards.
TBaker1964 4 years ago
I wonder if he is still clean right now?...Opiates are one of the hardest things to stay away from, most people who have had a habit for a prolonged time usually relapse within 6 months or so. (I know, I have been where he is, but way worse) Best of luck to you, my only advice is to go to meetings, NA or AA and get a sponsor, not trying to preach to you, but whiskey and weed might lead you back to pills, you know the saying, one is too many and 1000 is never enough...that goes for all substances
lighthammer69 4 years ago
I am still pillfree 2+ years. Ironically enough I am witnessing someone relapse the last few weeks. That drug hypnotizes people. I have told them they are playng with fire.... they acknowleged, but I realize the power of opiates. If I have sugery I will endure the pain rather than take the opiates. Won't get fooled again.
