I've found the best way to take care of the Boos is to turn your back to them, let them come close, and then do a jump / ground pound. Lure them in, and pancake them. Easy as pie. ;)

umm the ghost house couldn't be luigis mansion because the course was desined for super mario 64 for the Nintendo 64 and the game was a whole system ahead of luigis mansion which was released for the gamecube

On the Battle Fort, Yoshi can't even enter the course, so you can't use him, and there are 5 silver stars, not 8.

Here's a little hint on getting across those falling platforms in Big Boo's Mansion. If you hold the Y button while standing still, Ma- OZZY will start running on the spot and if you go in the direction acroos the platforms, you will super boost to the other side.
