This game is not that bad (although there are MUCH better games for the Atari 2600). You had to read the manual to figure out what to do. If you don't, obviously there's no point in playing the game.

This is what happened when I played a game called Mountain King for the first time, I didn't know what to do. Now MK has become one of my favourite Atari 2600 games.

@technoshock11 I feel the same way about Raiders of the Lost Ark. I loved that game as a kid because it felt like it had so much more depth to it than the other Atari games we had. It was pretty complex with an inventory system and the map room and timers and stuff, and you wouldn't really know what to do without the manual. @JReed1985 Actually, they were plenty accurate. It just didn't sell to expectations (I'm not even sure enough people actually bought a 2600 for the number of games that were produced). People THESE days don't even realize that Atari games come with instruction manuals that clearly point out how the games work. These people think all atari games are shit. They are, but only because of the limitation of the technology. they were just fine back then. Except the bad Pac-Man port.

I didn't live back in the time when the Atari 2600 was available, and now I don't understand why is this game is so bad. It follows a story, has some adventure elements, "intro" and "outro", unlike the wast majority of VCS games, which are just very simplistic shooters with no end? Plus there are Superman and Raiders of the Lost Ark which are similar but they are not considered bad.

I would feel a lot more deal beating a game like this rather than just shoot until I used up all of my lives.
