This bitch is a fucking joke! She knows nothing about correcting a dogs behavior, and the fact that she has her own show makes me want to shit in her mouth! STUPID BITCH!!! the only reason people watch this show is to see some TnA like FUCK!
@LeeMac93 The biggest joke are you. You can learn something from this, and what she does, is not wrong. It actually works. All dog trainers will learn you this but paying 200 euro or watch this? Its the same.. but free. She knows a lot. She isn't Cesar who does it more nature. But they both work on positive sides. You never studied dogs, and you never looked future then pets. They're not only pets.
All of these 'difficult dogs' have simply not been socialized with other dogs, positively trained or reinforced as a puppy or well raised. Do your research before buying a dog!
My dog Rocky A.K.A Mr. Rockstar a german shepherd mix would jump off a 1 story deck to chase foxes. It was scary because we didnt have any money for shots and foxes are #2 carrier for rabies. #1 is raccons.
I love how Victoria uses positive interaction to divert the dogs' attention and it works every time. These creatures would never understand things the way we do and forcing them won't make it any better. Since we are more intelligent, we should understand the extent of their understanding and be more patient about their behavior.
@yeti576 it is never natural. It is stereotype, pitbulls are very sweet. It's just that stupid people, such as yourself, make the dogs mean toward people. LEARN YOUR FACTS!
my dog flips out like that if not more and i'd like to go to the park and try all this, but people have their dogs off leash and she just flips shit and tries to bite anything that gets too close. i feel awful that she hasnt interacted normally with another dog in years but i just dont know what to do... it's really embarissing and inconvenient.
@yeti576 you are an idiot. Pit bulls, if brought up correctly, can be the sweetest dogs. Pit bulls weren't meant to be fighting dogs. People make bad dogs. Almost every single breed of dog is nice. It is just the way that they are brought up.
@yeti576 A prong collar shows bad things when this happens, the dog needs to see that GOOD things happen when with other dogs, unlike a pull that needs to be shown something bad happens.
@WeWorkForDogs A dog that sits, or downs for a treat is not a dog that necessarily see's you as a leader. That same dog may bite you if you come near its food bowl, which shows the dog is the leader. And dogs do in fact come from wolves why do you think their able to breed! Look at the domestication process with foxes, and how a fox that is extremely aggressive can be selectively breed to be just like a dog with a wagging tail.
@nikigurl08 I totally agree--- whilst positive reinforcement has a lot of good to bring to the table, there has been a dramatic increase in terribly behaved canines with it's more popularized use. People need to realize that negative reinforcement is not bad... negative and positive reinforcement, used together, seem to bring the best results--you also need to know your dog. Some are very submissive and you need to be gentler, while others are hard-headed and nothing phases them, lol
@Nigh1shad3 well put! Ya Its seems it happening with Children too!! Like dont spank them its ABUSE, be their friend so they walk all over you!! I've spanked all of my dogs I've used training collars and prong collars I've also given bike runs, played with them and loved them! My results have been Dogs that love me and cry for me when I leave. Its also resulted in me having really well behaved dogs some of which Ive shown and won in obedience trial multiple times. SO ya BALANCE as you said is key
@nikigurl08 Yep... when I have to physically punish one of my dogs, I am not physically harming them. Causing discomfort, probably. Hurting and harming? No. Much less to get popped under the jaw and yelled at than to run into traffic and be killed. I have one dog who I don't have to touch or even move towards to tell her she did wrong... she's very submissive--- while my male pup is very strong willed and would be out of control with someone who does not handle him like I do. :-)
@Nigh1shad3 Its funny how the ppl who do physically reprimand their dog and give them order, have little to no problems with their dog listening, its always the ppl that are afraid to touch their dogs that have all these issues.
@nikigurl08 It's funny how my dog who has a few problems, and used to have physically reprimands, has now been almost fully trained, positivly with no punishment, and I can control him, while I see people being dragged down the street, or with crazy dogs mindlessly smacking them....
@KateBattams WELL DUH!! If you just reprimand a dog who does not understand you do no good! Its like a parent goin up and smackin there child w/o warning, the child will be confused and learn to fear them. You let the dog know "What it's their doing that's not acceptable." And when you reprimand them it should be after a vocal warning, and it shouldn't be repeated. You dont reprimand to harm, you reprimand for respect, just like a kid.
@Nigh1shad3 I'd say the increase in terribly behaved canines doesn't have anything to do with training methods. If positive reinforcement wasn't popular at all, there'd still be bad behaved dogs. A big problem I've noticed, is an increase of people not doing any kind of training at all. I see well trained dogs with positive reinforcement, and, yes, well trained dogs with other methods. Most of the bad behaved dogs I see have owners who don't attempt to train the dog at all
The only moments the dog is not attacking or pulling the leash is because he is eating every second, and dogs can't do two things at the same time, he attacks or he eats. At 2:23 you can see how he is eating and staring in a very aggressive way, she is reinforcing that behaviour by giving him food instead of giving him a physical tauch. This is so wrong that i won't watch a video of this woman again.
@rebelhorse Agreed! The dog gonna get fat if they constantely have to give it something to get its attention. Its like tellin a spoiled little brat stop screaming and i'll buy you ice cream. What do you think that brat will do every chance she gets! Of course she'll scream because than her push over parents will bribe her with something to get her to stop. Dogs aren't stupid they will repeat a bad behavior if it has a reward.
@nikigurl08 Imagine a pack of wolves, and the alpha wolf is carrying a lot of food to give to the other members of the group every ten seconds to keep them distracted of doing bad things, this is so out of reality!
Dude that boxer is gonna get really fat if they have to constanely give him a treat everytime a dog goes by, which case his attention quickly return to the other dogs after he swallow the treat. Cesar would of done so much better and it wouldn't require tons of treats to get the job done either!!
@nikigurl08 The treats are really tiny, I think. Think of a human eating a "treat" the size of a pea. On other channels, where they show you how to clicker-train your dog, they give the dogs treats quite frequently - but the treats are really tiny. Just a taste, but it's enough.
@nikigurl08 positive reinforcement is one of the most effective way's to correct bad behaviors.. Cesar has done some great things, but his methods aren't ALWAYS the ONLY solution..
I have a very dominant DDB, and I have tried tons of methods to stop him from being agressive towards other dogs.. the most effective one that I have ever seen is positive reinforcement..
and treats are just in the TRAINING, not ALL THE TIME
@kollaaa91 Positive reinforcement used for bad behavior is for wimps who cant physically reprimand their dogs. they associate touching a dog with anything other than a pet is pure abuse which is retarded because dogs communicate through touch! Cesar can get the ppl to walk their dogs within 10 mins, Stillwell clients struggle and that y they say were still working on the heel or walks! ANd Cesar can keep a huge pack of dogs calm, which you don't see Stillwell working with a pack of dogs!
@nikigurl08 AND I don't thik Cesar is insane, a dog-beater or what ever.. I simply think he overuses dominance trying and such.. There's always that golden middle-way ;)
What I was simply trying to say is that harshness doesn't ALWAYS work to handle dog's with aggressiveness towards something..
I SHOULD KNOW!
I don't know HOW many times I've had to pull my 100+ pund DDB out of fights..
AND I've tried all sorts of solutions to that, positive reinforcement is the best one I've found
@nikigurl08 I agree the dog wasn't calm when they were rewarding it. That is wrong. But positive reinforcement works properly if you reward for GOOD behaviour. My dad trained my dog using intimidation, not as extreme as Cesar's methods because my dog wasn't in need of rehabilitation, but intimidation none the less, like grabbing the collar and looking into her eyes for punishment. My dog is now scared of being handled. This is why I will use reinforcement over intimidation.
@MelodyPythonVeria Yes I agree with positive reinforcement WHEN the dog is GOOD as you said. Shoot whenever I train a dog a new trick I use treats. As far as the intimidation, your not suppose to train the dog to not trust you or fear you, but to simply respect you. With a more timid dog a simple NO is enough to get the point across, and you should never follow through with putting the dog in a submission position if the dog show submission with a "NO."
@kollaaa91 And just because you were unsucessful with Cesar methods isn't because the methods were wrong, but that you weren't doing them right. You should never try and rehabilitate your own dog if you aren't a trainer or working with a trainer who advises you to do so! Something that appear on all of Cesar episodes!! And watching a dog training video doesn't qualify you as a dog trainer!
@nikigurl08 I never said I was a trainer and no, I didn't repeat what Cesar or Stillwell did on the shows, since that would be really stupid without a trainer present..
and dude, don't try to call me a whimp who thinks my pet "is pure" and stuff like that..
I believe in packs, dominance, all that stuff.. I force my dog down on his back if he disses me, I even growl at my dog if he even THINKS of trying to run over me..
@nikigurl08 Don't argue with these people, is useless, we will never support the methods of a woman who recommends people to reward a bad behaviour and in case it doesn't work, to sacrifice them. This woman just loves the camera not dogs.
@rebelhorse victoria is not rewarding for bad behaviour, she rewards the dog only when its calm. completely different emotions.
to be honest i dont have compare ceaser or victoria to each other, they are BOTH dog trainers i look up to, sure they have different ways of traning but the whole point is both of their methods work and they both have the same idea in mind which is to train the dogs AND people.
i dont like how everyone compares these two trainers just cos they both are sucessful
@xxbechasyxx Are we watching the same video? I've already mentioned 2:23: when the dog is staring, in a very aggressive way, at a girl that pass in front of the house while he is eating, and this woman is telling him 'Good boy!!! Oh that's a good boy!!!'. And then the owner do the same thing at 3:20. Staring like that while his whole body is tense is NOT being calm, because you know what? Dogs always assume this attitude before they ATTACK.
@Vexlulz I cant tell anymore. These stupid bitches want to look like men in 2010. Im stunned they dont have perscription drugs for these kinds of people. If i told a Dr. I thought i was a bird because i could flap my arms theyd give me drugs but a woman or man tries to be the opposite sex and its called normal. Stunning. No wonder this country is going down the drain.
@crackface5 Wow. Your ignorance has surpassed all expectations. People being who they want to be isn't the cause of the country's downfall, it's closeminded idiots like yourself that are causing it.
@fireofthedarkness What did i say bro? All im saying is she looks like shes havin an identity crisis. I thought she was a man because she is styling her look after a man. No disrespect intended.
@crackface5: Intolerance is a mental illness. Let people look the way they want to. We live in free societies, we have fought a long time to archieve individual freedom... why judge people by their looks, their way of life? as long as they don't interfere with your life, why bother?
I think it's just the way this show is presented. It's like super nanny doggy style (b/c the expert is a british woman!). But I do find CM style unique and entertaining b/c it seems more based on intrinsic motivation or maybe b/c I watched his show first. In reality, they're probably both equally capable and definitely really nice people.
so? what´s to laugh there? I always laugh when I see guy´s who´ve dressed rap-style and chicks who looks like christmas trees and smell from hundreds of parfumes and they´re IQ is even lover than those of BB-contestanst. Now THERE´s comedy :D
belive me i gave her time i watched her show and all she does is feed the dog, fuken really, i want to see what happends when u take the food away and have the dog right next to the other one shoulder to shoulder, and cesar isnt forcefull its how a mother dog teaches her yung , a dog is a pack animal not a fat lapdog who gets cookies for beeing "good"
they're treats first off. it's reward, not pounds of food. it's called positive reinforcement. cesar himself says that his methods derive from wolf pack interactions. u must have missed the part where i mentioned specifically that there were people who paid him, celebrities even, that had to call victoria because cesar's methods didn't even work on the dog. victoria then explained to them why it was flawed. first off, these aren't puppies anymore. secondly the alpha wolf rarely physically
forces another pack member into submission. the submission is given freely out of respect. if you have to assert yourself on the dog more than once on a dog physically, you're causing the dog to put a negative connotation to your presence. there's a reason those people left cesar and went to victoria. the treats are weened off after a while, but an immediate result comes from praise and food and attention. she shows all three, not just food. that's an exaggeration.
not trying to bash you either..just saying that if you r a fan of a particular style..then go ahead and express that, but dont bash another trainer whos methods haven proven to work as well...im a trainer as well and i think no matter how many dogs you train, you learn more and more from each new dog that you work with as well as from other trainers and even everyday people....check out my page and my vids...i try my best and i am still learning more everyday!!
@Melimo Submission is respect, but you dont gain respect from a dog from giving it treats! A dog who see's you as alpha will respect you and love you. And if what your sayin true how is that after I put a dog in submission NO TREAT used, the dog INSTANTELY started listening to me the first time! All I did was put the dog on it side and held him there and the dog showed submission. But that's probably abuse because the dog didn't want to be put on it side, and I didn't use treats.lol.
@Melimo The reason why the alpha wolf rarely physically forces another pack member into submission is because they use a lot of body language before they touch, physical contact is the last resort, and this rarely happen because a mother wolf raise balanced puppies, so they learn perfectly the rules from the beginning, you won't find a 'cooper' in a pack, WE raise 'coopers'.
About the 'negative connotation':Imagine i'm doing something bad,and a guy corrects me by giving me an energetic touch or pulling my clothes,in that case i would have a negative connotation to the guy, because he didn't talk to me and explain me i was doing something bad.But WE are humans,we communicate with words,DOGS communicate with body language, physical touch and energy, not with words or rewards.
lol seriously..lets not go overboard and start making things up here...lets see some proof that people left ceasar and went to her..lol doubt it.....they both have methods that work..some better based upon the type of dog they are workign with however they both adapt...lets not bash either trainer..its obvious that they are both very successful, and get the message across....no way is the def correct way.....some more effective...others less...sometimes two methods work but one takes longer
@Melimo Have you watched a pack of wolves on tv or seen a pack of wild dogs? Obviously not! Because dogs are very physical!! They bite each other face off, if one gets to close to another's one food! Dogs have a pecking order and your idiot if you think otherwise! Its been proven and it obvious even at the dog park! Victoria is rewarding the dog for bad behaviour. Try letting the dog off the leash and watch it rip the other dog's face off. The dog is there for the treats and has no respect.
well, I guess they're both very different from eachother. I think is a matter of personal preference but as long as their methods turn out succesful, they're both ok :)
@nanushka Yea but the dogs attention keeps goin to the other dog after it eats the treat. How is that sucessful? And if you released that dog it'd be rippin the other dog's face off showin you have no control. But if your in control a simple firm NO should get the dog to stop even off leash. I'd like to see Victoria control a pack of dogs! And not one dog with a bunch of treats in her hands.
This bitch is a fucking joke! She knows nothing about correcting a dogs behavior, and the fact that she has her own show makes me want to shit in her mouth! STUPID BITCH!!! the only reason people watch this show is to see some TnA like FUCK!

For gods sake,
When will you people learn that our dogs are NOT wolves?
Dogs will recognize you as a leader by the way you TRAIN them do to simple things, like sit, stay and come.
There is no need to ever strike a dog or push it onto it's side. Your dog goes into avoidance. Something you DO NOT want your dog to do.

xxbechasyxx 1 year ago

Stunning. No wonder this country is going down the drain.
crackface5 1 year ago
@crackface5 They're not trying to be the opposite sex though. They're lesbians not trannies
Vexlulz 1 year ago 3
@crackface5 Wow. Your ignorance has surpassed all expectations. People being who they want to be isn't the cause of the country's downfall, it's closeminded idiots like yourself that are causing it.

@fireofthedarkness What did i say bro? All im saying is she looks like shes havin an identity crisis. I thought she was a man because she is styling her look after a man. No disrespect intended.
crackface5 1 year ago
@crackface5 She looks like she is trying to be a man by her appearence. Sign of mental illness.
crackface5 1 year ago
@crackface5: Intolerance is a mental illness. Let people look the way they want to. We live in free societies, we have fought a long time to archieve individual freedom... why judge people by their looks, their way of life? as long as they don't interfere with your life, why bother?

Cesar Millan is better ! :D
thatsshit 2 years ago
I think it's just the way this show is presented. It's like super nanny doggy style (b/c the expert is a british woman!). But I do find CM style unique and entertaining b/c it seems more based on intrinsic motivation or maybe b/c I watched his show first. In reality, they're probably both equally capable and definitely really nice people.

exactly, i like cesar millan's show better
immahotpepper 2 years ago
cesar's ideas are very flawed. victoria actually points out all of them on the episodes where people have had him train their dogs.
Melimo 2 years ago
belive me i gave her time i watched her show and all she does is feed the dog, fuken really, i want to see what happends when u take the food away and have the dog right next to the other one shoulder to shoulder, and cesar isnt forcefull its how a mother dog teaches her yung , a dog is a pack animal not a fat lapdog who gets cookies for beeing "good"
prinzessinkuss 2 years ago
they're treats first off. it's reward, not pounds of food. it's called positive reinforcement. cesar himself says that his methods derive from wolf pack interactions. u must have missed the part where i mentioned specifically that there were people who paid him, celebrities even, that had to call victoria because cesar's methods didn't even work on the dog. victoria then explained to them why it was flawed. first off, these aren't puppies anymore. secondly the alpha wolf rarely physically
Melimo 2 years ago 4
forces another pack member into submission. the submission is given freely out of respect. if you have to assert yourself on the dog more than once on a dog physically, you're causing the dog to put a negative connotation to your presence. there's a reason those people left cesar and went to victoria. the treats are weened off after a while, but an immediate result comes from praise and food and attention. she shows all three, not just food. that's an exaggeration.
Melimo 2 years ago 4
not trying to bash you either..just saying that if you r a fan of a particular style..then go ahead and express that, but dont bash another trainer whos methods haven proven to work as well...im a trainer as well and i think no matter how many dogs you train, you learn more and more from each new dog that you work with as well as from other trainers and even everyday people....check out my page and my vids...i try my best and i am still learning more everyday!!
DreamComeTrueK9 2 years ago
@Melimo Submission is respect, but you dont gain respect from a dog from giving it treats! A dog who see's you as alpha will respect you and love you. And if what your sayin true how is that after I put a dog in submission NO TREAT used, the dog INSTANTELY started listening to me the first time! All I did was put the dog on it side and held him there and the dog showed submission. But that's probably abuse because the dog didn't want to be put on it side, and I didn't use treats.lol.
nikigurl08 1 year ago
@Melimo The reason why the alpha wolf rarely physically forces another pack member into submission is because they use a lot of body language before they touch, physical contact is the last resort, and this rarely happen because a mother wolf raise balanced puppies, so they learn perfectly the rules from the beginning, you won't find a 'cooper' in a pack, WE raise 'coopers'.
rebelhorse 1 year ago
About the 'negative connotation':Imagine i'm doing something bad,and a guy corrects me by giving me an energetic touch or pulling my clothes,in that case i would have a negative connotation to the guy, because he didn't talk to me and explain me i was doing something bad.But WE are humans,we communicate with words,DOGS communicate with body language, physical touch and energy, not with words or rewards.
rebelhorse 1 year ago
lol seriously..lets not go overboard and start making things up here...lets see some proof that people left ceasar and went to her..lol doubt it.....they both have methods that work..some better based upon the type of dog they are workign with however they both adapt...lets not bash either trainer..its obvious that they are both very successful, and get the message across....no way is the def correct way.....some more effective...others less...sometimes two methods work but one takes longer
DreamComeTrueK9 2 years ago
@Melimo Have you watched a pack of wolves on tv or seen a pack of wild dogs? Obviously not! Because dogs are very physical!! They bite each other face off, if one gets to close to another's one food! Dogs have a pecking order and your idiot if you think otherwise! Its been proven and it obvious even at the dog park! Victoria is rewarding the dog for bad behaviour. Try letting the dog off the leash and watch it rip the other dog's face off. The dog is there for the treats and has no respect.
nikigurl08 1 year ago
yes it does. it associates the others as a good thing. watch the entire episode and you'd see how well it worked.
Melimo 2 years ago
so what would you suggest to help a dog who is clearly insecure of other dogs and feels the need to fight them before they get him?
Kabukihomewood 2 years ago
erm, why in the world would the other dogs owners let their dogs loose around such an aggressive dog? isn't that just asking for it?

well, I guess they're both very different from eachother. I think is a matter of personal preference but as long as their methods turn out succesful, they're both ok :)
nanushka 2 years ago
@nanushka Yea but the dogs attention keeps goin to the other dog after it eats the treat. How is that sucessful? And if you released that dog it'd be rippin the other dog's face off showin you have no control. But if your in control a simple firm NO should get the dog to stop even off leash. I'd like to see Victoria control a pack of dogs! And not one dog with a bunch of treats in her hands.
