I still remember this accident like it was yesterday. I am Canadian, but I have friends in Cebu. My g/f's family my family lives in Cebu, I remember my panic at the thought one of them might have been on this ship. I'm not a religious man, but I feel for the families that lost loved ones. My cousin was included in the tragedy. He was young. A jolly person, so full of dreams. A good friend, brother and son. We felt very sad knowing that we will never see him again in flesh, but in our heart, we will always cherish him. God was still good to us, because we were given the chance to recover the body. He never knew how to swim, but for me he is the best swimmer coz he tried to swim from romblon to albay for us to see him. He even show us a sign in TV so that we could recognize him.

the coast guard never really cares to maintain it's initiative in monitoring healthy ships. PAG ASA ...if don't trust their data on weather reports why not seek international weather forecasting from the navareas?they are much up to date why the gov't tolerated this it's a shame to our worldly recognized seafaring nation.come see some ships sailing in our seas without even functioning ballast system!

my sister and her husband was lost in that tragedy...leaving their 3 young daughters orphaned. most ships in our local shipping undergone so many structural changes but the authorities never really mind the constants of this vessels that has change also.how many ships sailing in our seas without a properly functioning ballast systems.and how many ships sailing with structural stability change from its original form?nobody cares!

it capsized due to huge waves brought on by Typhoon Frank, possibly one of the worst tragedies to occur in the Philippines. It's really sad to think that this company cared more about money than the safety of its passengers.

i believe this isnt just any other sea accident specially so dat it involves sulpicio lines..someone has to be responsible and accountable to this very tragic circumstances dat add up to d long lists of ferries owned by this same shipping lines dat suffer d similar fate..it is evident, that in this tragedy revenues/profit is made ultimate as against d safety of the passengers and someone/somebody on top of d corporate hierarcy must have pushed d go button..

My cousin was included in the tragedy. He was young. A jolly person, so full of dreams. A good friend, brother and son. We felt very sad knowing that we will never see him again in flesh, but in our heart, we will always cherish him. God was still good to us, because we were given the chance to recover the body. He never knew how to swim, but for me he is the best swimmer coz he tried to swim from romblon to albay for us to see him. He even show us a sign in TV so that we could recognize him.

mr jonathanaairbusboy, for your information and knowledge there is something wrong with the sulpicio lines ships. most of their ships were bought by Go from Japan and most of their ships are second hand and had some trouble engines. mv princess was bought by the year 1984 and meron na pong sira ang boat nila.
