I do this as well. I'll buy a lot of about 2000-4000 cards from eBay, go through them all and keep the ones I don't have and sell all of my doubles from my entire inventory for a higher price than what I bought my lot for. It works and it's great! I went from an inventory of about 1500 to an inventory of about 15000 cards just by doing that! :D

@dleevids You seem to be missing a key point in what TheTobiramaSenju has said. He asked if you knew how much people payed for yu gi oh. I'll answer for him. A lot! If you can find ways to get the expensive cards from collection auctions and getting money back, keeping a couple of cards, you will eventually one day end up running into a card from one of the collection bundles that costs Loads of money. Now this is where it becomes useful. You sell that card for money, and boom you got a profit.

the method they use is simple example :u buy 10 cards for $30 and u know that just one card out of the 10 is worth 30 well u sell the one card and u get 9 cards for free cuz the money u spent to get the ten cards u get back by selling the one card it makes sense

@cedevito123 buy collections (rather than single cards) where you can sell just a few of the cards for what you paid for the collection to get your money back. The rest of the cards you keep! FREE (sometimes you can make more than you pay too!!!)

but really the cards aren't worth those amounts. its what people will pay for them. their true value (and this go for any and every card) is a couple of cents. its paper, ink, and sometimes special sheet metal.

That's what I do.... lol if my kid only knew how many cards I actually buy ;o) He gets his collection and mine as well built for practically no money. I used to do it with MTG cards as well, but I buy a lot of booster boxes and I do the same thing. Buy a box, sell 2 or 3 cards make my money back then keep or trade the rest lol...
