You're seeing essentially the same player Oden was in college -- foul prone, injury prone and brittle, no defined offensive game, largely unenthusiastic. Like Barkley said, he needs to be patient, he is still very young, and he is also in a great situation playing for a team of the future like the blazers. His main focus should be defense. I remember Kobe & Garnett not doing so good their rookie years in the late 90s either. and they werent injured for a year before their real rookie years like Oden. Oden also missed quite a bit of his only year in college because of injury.
