  • song name at 3:37?? plz

  • First time i see this like 'thazmania'style at 3:00

  • sexy chicas!!! jajaja ;D (soy mujer;) )

  • para mi FRANKIE Y LORY tienen mejor cadencia y se aproximan a los grandes de la salsa dance felicitaciones

  • Best, Salsa dancers of the World..

Who's world... See Salsa Calena.. Just regular local Calenos Would smock any of them, on this list... Never seen any of these people competing on the real Salsa World Competition !

  • '''esta super bueno este video!!!

  • song at 00.17??

  • @mrcpodesta what's the name of the first song??

  • I think the list is missing Karel Flores. She's the best in my opinion!

  • I love ALL plus Junior and Emily... wooho!

  • Ya this is too close to ballroom like

Some sabor alllgoo Yes magna has sabor! Some of them other ladies too but too stiff. The list is missing the moy sisters ange and daine unas chinitacolombianas who got that sabbborrrrr

  • ahh omg eddie torres and griselle ponce are my faves

  • Im not proud to say that i am dancing like an elephant in a store with only glass.

  • Who is the lady dancing with Shaka Brown?

  • You cant be serious....all of these that you mention are not at all the best in the world....I see more street dancers in SF/LA/NY that would smoke these people...a great salsa dancer is not defined by how many complicated turns you can do...its about style, passion, flavor...I am sick of all of these robotic salsa dancers claiming to be the best. I am in no way saying I can do as many turn patterns as them, but I will dam sure smoke them if it came to originality, flavor and passion.

  • @djayincognito Very well said, my friend.

  • @djayincognito I believe you my friend and so does the rest of the salsa world. You can really smoke them out with your "flavor".

Truth is these dancers in this video are inspiration for, I dont know, how many thousands salseros/salseras, while you are sitting behind your laptop and bitching about them. You smell like a eeennnyyy wheenyyy cuban-salsa lover, who claim to own salsa and who always cry about "flavor" when they see x-body salsa stars.

  • @emigr8 Hahaha, you are a true idiot, you have to type your comments via youtube like a tough guy. I have been worldwide dancing salsa, and watching people dance. So I can say they are not the best from experience. Where have you been? Stop dick riding others and get your own style. These dancers you idolize to be "top salsa dancers" were taught/influenced by others . So they cant be the best. I can dance any style of salsa so get your facts straight and keep idolizing dancers on youtube.

  • @emigr8 and next time...post a video of you dancing so you can at least back up your meaningless words...

  • @djayincognito OOPPSSS !! I really hurt your feelings, look like ? Well, you dont need my videos, since i m way below the level of these dancers in this video, so you know already where I stand. But lets review your video, I m sorry but by looking at your videos I don't think you are near any class of salsa :(. Look like you have been eating McDonalds world wide instead of dancing salsa. Have a lovely day :)

  • @emigr8 Well...what is hurting me, is that you are too much of a coward to post a video up...and that you use english on the level of a 5 year old. I guess your immigrant screen name says alot. How clever!! Dude, you gotta do better than that to hurt my feelings. Thank you for watching my videos! Haha...you know for a fact you cant do better, thats why you talk trash. Where do you live homo? Come meet me at a salsa venue, then we will see. Coward.

  • @djayincognito That's correct, I am not very good in english, its not my language either, and I am not immigrant and I do not live in US :D

Yes, you are welcome, I did watch your video just to see who can blow eddie torres, juan matos, frankie etc etc out with their flavor? But i was dissapointed, that I just found an advertisement of fast food restaurant. You may be a very best for you and ur mama, good for you. Now please shut up and have fun dancing :)

  • @emigr8 hahaha....now I know you are a true idiot...yes...stay in your country and admire other dancers...because WE BOTH KNOW you will never be on one of these videos. What does fast food have to do with dancing? You dont make sense...I think you are typing garbage to keep your dignity...haha...its ok...I am not going to waste anymore energy. When you feel like backing up your talk, post a video up. End of conversation.

  • @djayincognito Okey, My bad, I went on some personal attack on you, I appologize. I still do not think that you are better dancer than any of the the person in this video. I will stay in my country and will admire anyone in the world who dances well. END OF CONVERSATION !

  • @emigr8 Never said I was better...Im just not a studio salsa dancer...and I dance with my heart...not a script...thats the difference....so as far as a technical aspect of it, they will murder me...but take away the spins...and then its a new ballgame. I give props to all of these dancers because they are outstanding...but NOT the best. Spins and combinations dont make a salsero...END OF CONVERSATION!!!

  • So where's Ataca y Alemana?

  • @Serenity18A in a bachata list probably

  • Come on...to many fat guys and to many hesitant moves...some of the woman are hot but ... The top ten salsa dancers in the world heading is absolute nonsense...don't see Chris here 3 times world Latin Dance champion. Whoever put this up with this heading is a complete and utter FANNY

  • Where's Ana from Masacote?!?!

  • Too much code, and not enough fun for more than half of them, in my view.. A step more and it will be ballroom dancing. They know how to dance mambo, thats the point !

  • pura escuelita

  • franky martinez!!

  • I Like Number 3 !

  • What?? You for got to mention Los Hermanso Vasquez! (Francisco y Johnny) What about Shani Telmor>>

  • you forgot Alien Ramirez

  • @DrIverach alien? lol

  • @heyfkldsm That's right.....Alien. Say it with a Latino accent and you'll understand that she's not some green girl in a flying saucer - but she definitely IS out of this world. LOL

  • Me gusto el estilo de la pareja del 1:46 al 2:15 es muy parecido al mio pero ni modo te voy a igualar un pasito que me gusto

  • y como se llama las canciones estan muy uenas

  • @iogbaa You can add the Mambo Legend Freddy Rios to that list...Just turned 76 and still doing it..

  • ANITA Y ADRIAN THE BEST

  • Eli Torres should be in the top four

  • You forgot Giancarlo and Masha from NZ

  • And for ladies Griselle Ponce, Karel Flores, Magna Gopal, Nancy Ortiz, Jorjet Alcocer, Emily Alibi, Jennifer Stein, Melanie Torres and the last 2 spots for 2 ladies around the world I havent seen yet.

  • First of all mixing guys and girls on your top ten list doesnt make sense. My top ten guys in no particular order Eddie Torres, Frankie Martinez, Juan Martos, Mikael Fonts, Johnny Vasquez, Cuban Pete, Adolfo Indacochea, Gabe Perez............ I'll save the last 2 spots for dancers somewhere in the world that I probably don't know of and havent seen yet.

  • What is the name of the song that Frankie Martinez danced with his partner at 3:37?

  • @wisdomkeeper

It's called "Welcome to the Party" by The Har-You Percussion Group

  • everybody should look at DANIEL CASTILLO from Spain. (amazing)

  • #9 was awesome

  • OLIVER PINEDA

  • @krizaxe True. He is technically the best of the best. I saw his few dances on Youtube and my jaw dropped the to floor...

  • I am afraid I find your models so predictive and with a codified sensuality. I finally find more fun learning old ways of dancing to begin with... I'll see later if I get a grab on Mambo as danced today.

  • I see... Best garbage in the world that is and the matching songs. I've never seen such unsexy leaders just look at the guys in this clip all wearing tight pants the harder they try to look sexy the gayest they look LOL. What happens to good old real Pachuco Zoot trousers flat cap or Fidora hat wearing Latin Salseros with macho attitude these days? The guys are trying to dance like women. This whole thing sucks very gayly.

  • jajaja you haven't seen the CALENOS(PEOPLE FROM cali colombia) dancing salsa!

  • I like 8. Griselle! She's so sensual.

  • faltaron los dancer of colombia, are the best dancer´s

  • That is one "ill-informed" video. =p

  • I'm proud to say...i've danced with 3 of those women from the list !!!

Magna Gopal, Griselle Ponce, and Nancy Ortiz !!! =D

  • @LA7Dance Nice! I've gotten to dance with 6 of the guys. All except Oliver and Andy.

  • OMG How do they do the turns @3:04??

  • Oliver is one of the best for me, but Nery is another exponent that should be mentioned at leats... but i think that any list that create positions wont work... because when dancers pass throught a point you cant say who is better... they are just different and amazying in their own styles.

  • Then you havent seen me best in the world ha

  • The truth of the matter is that Salsa is diverse and therefore cannot be judge by a couple whom are good at dancing to it. It's diversity means that every salsa dancer is unique and will exploit its flovour according to ones skill. Salsa is lovely and can be very seductive. I will say there are great dancers around the world but for me there is no such thing as the best dancers.

  • Flojo esto acá están los mios: ( Hombres) 1. Eddie Torres 2. Adolfo Indacochea 3. Juan Matos 4. Maykel Fonts 5. Frankie Martinez 6. Franklyn Diaz 7. Tomás Guerrero 8. Osmar Perrone 9. Emily Alabi Perdón si me olvidé a alguien!!!
  • not the best in the world by any means

where is Nery he is good to

also Colombians have their own style

    particularly i don't like it

    it sucks

    but is their way

  • This is nice, but none of this is Cuban Salsa. How can you create a list with ten non-Cuban style videos and call it a list of "best salsa dancers in the world"? No offense, but it's ridiculous.

  • Nice try, but the best salsa dancers are from Cuba and Colombia. Perhaps you should rename your video 'the best ballroom-style salsa dancers in the world'.

  • Shaka was amazing. I was proud... they were all brilliant dancers... I realize that I often use salsa steps when I dance... I should go take lessons. lol

  • @abgiebler Shaka is a bad ass!!!! GO DC!!!!

  • I agree with Alex Columbiano, this should be the best dancer from NY..... LA, SF, PR have some great dancers and I seen those Columbians go off!!! Yeah!!! Cristian Oviedo!

  • EL BAILE ES UN TRABAJO DE PAREJA EN DONDE POR LO GENERAL EXISTE UN LIDER Y UNA PAREJA QUE SIGUE POR ELLO ES INJUSTO SOLO EL NOMBRE DE UN SOLO ENVEZ DE LOS DOS.

  • Your video is a favorite on Libreville

  • nancy ortiz

  • whats the music at the beggining ??

  • @karazani

el tumbao de cachao-Johnny Polanco y Conjunto Amistad

  • And the winner is 3:30

  • All of the ones you listed are AMAZING... but I think you forgot to mention FRANKLIN DIAZ!!!

  • The Guy in segment 04:00 o 04:25 is Oliver Pineda. His Salsa is Strong!

  • omg who is that man at 04:25?

  • you should rename it for 'best salsa dancers in NY' or 'the best on 2 salsa dancers' ;). What about the Vasquez brothers, Cuban dancers like Yanek, and the best of the best, meaning colombian dancers Ricardo i Viviana, Jhon i Yudi, Carlos Paz and so much more??

  • uhhhhhhhhhhh nice nice nice

  • Ahtoy Borja should definitely be in that list as well!

  • Wow. Now I need to be taught by them. And I wonder how long did it take to do those moves? That was insane

  • I say the Oliver pareja....wow!!!

  • I'd be interested in knowing who came first, Magna Gopal or Zulmara Torres. Zulmara has much better spins and because of the ESPN Championship, also received much more exposure.

  • Yoandy Villaurrutia ore Yanek Revilla but maybe Tomasito Santamaria Markéta

  • Even though Oliver Pineda is a show off, I acknowledge his skills in salsa dancing

  • Oliver Pineda is the best salsa dancer i ever seen!!!!!

    Best Regards for all.

  • Oliver!!!!

  • none on the list show anything what makes them even slightly distinguishable from other normal salsa dancers. to be honest i dont like l.a. and miami style at all, but the only one on this list that shows some nice moves is oliver pineda, rest is all *meh

  • What a bunch of broomsticks and marketing intox. Yanek Revilla, Yoannis Tamayo or Yanet Fuentes would eat any of these guys for breakfast.

  • I STILL HAVE NOT SEEN ANYBODY DANCE SALSA WITH THE FINESE, STYLE AND SMOOTHNESS OF PAPITO JALA JALA. THAT LEVEL OF DANCE HAS NOT BEEN REACH BY ANY OF THE SO CALL SALSA DANCERS GREATS INCLUDING EDDIE TORRES. THAT IS MY OPINION, IF YOU KNOW THE PERSON I'M TALKING ABOUT YOU'LL KNOW WHAT I MEANT.

  • @rcarrillo121 why you yellin'? it's all good, bro...

  • @rcarrillo121 Exactly!!! Papito Jala Jala was from another world

  • I just saw this show last saturday in Holland and it was the show of the evening...it was incredible to see it live, they where beter then yamulle that evening...in my opinion:) Awesome music en dance:)

  • falta el indiscutible Jhonny Vazquez, adrian y anita, jhesus aponte, liz lira y cristian, sheila de jesus, carine y rafael ,etc, etc

  • whats the name of song on the intro of the video?

  • #6 is good.

  • how come no credit goes to the women?

  • @jpark907 several women were listed

  • @oneprincesslea oh my bad haha

  • According to whom?

  • All are fine for stage & the “look at me” prototypes. It's dizzying to watch the chronic spinning ~ which may be a way to compensate the inability to be spontaneously creative & allow the music to do the thinking for you. It’s choreographed dancing with partners they’re familiar with, spawned from the same “school” and/or familiar with salsa schools’ protocol. The BEST salsa dancer is impromptu & in perfect sync with a partner they have never known before & BOTH look amazing !

  • @salseli1 @salseli1 Ditto I agree, dancing is best when the dancers dance free by feel and emotion, in perfect sync without Choreography. However, I had the pleasure of not only seeing some of these dancer dance socially but I also know Eddie, Frankie, Juan & Kimberly, who as well as being awesome performers are excellent social dancers that can dance with "Anybody" regardless of Style, Timing, or Discipline and not only make it look easy, make their partners feel comfortable and have fun.!

  • @GilMambo totally agree, if you want to see how much feeling someone has for the dance, then you should make him dance with a stranger. much more enjoyable for us to watch when you know its not a performance...

  • Bingo.! your best dance is never duplicate, never recreated. It lives for the moment, dies on the moment. felt in your heart, seen in your partners eyes. Evident in your smiles and in the smiles of all those fortunate enough to have shared the moment. Lingering on just until you grab the next partner and the same perfection, now new perfection is born and dies again..!

  • 9 and 3 for the top 2 spots...mambo king is *dead* and where are Nilson & Deisy on that list?

  • Granted, Eddie is older and his dancing is not up to par with that of his younger days but, Eddie has solidified his position as not only the best Salsa/Mambo dancer of all times but also as the best Mambo instructor Ever.! 95% of all On2 dancers and instructors have knowingly or unknowingly been influenced or affected by his dancing. He has forgotten more about dancing than any of us will ever learn. As 4 the list you're right, where's Nelson ? And Stracy, Candy, Duplessis, Franklyn, Jorday!

  • WELL NUMBER 9 SHOULD BE AT NUMBER 1 NUMBER 3 AT NUMBER 2 THE REST NOT THAT IMPRESSED SORRY

  • If you disagree with this list, you should reply with videos of the salseros who you think are better.

  • What about Mikael Fuentes? Francisco Vasquez???

  • THE BEST SALSA DANCER EVER IS YANEK REVILLA PEOPLE YOU SHOULD PUT HIM TWICE ON THIS LIST

  • the song that pineda is dancing?¿, thanks

  • Comment removed

  • Esa es la lista personal tuya, pero de ahy a decir que son los mejores del mundo.........me parece bastante exagerado.

  • What about La Alemana, Nery from Elegant Rumberos (or so ?), Kelly (Kelly+ Salomon), Yanek Revilla + Diana and and and... ???

I think it is difficult to say - there are so many brilliant Salsa dansers,

it is just a matter of which style you prefer.

  • i think you should add some Japanese salsa dancers. puerto rican congress has spoken.

  • I agreeeee!

  • i agree with tibuchi1 you may need to add some Cuban's in here ... Maykel Fonts, Yanet Fuentes come to mind and also the Colombians are pretty good too ... are most of your dancers based in NYC by any chance?

  • Comment removed

  • Men: 1-Adolfo Indacochea, 2-Juan Matos, 3-Maykel Fonts, 4-Frankie Martinez,

    5-Marco Ferrigno, 6-Terry (Salsalianza), 7-Alfredo Torres,8-Oliver Pineda

    Women: 1-Magna Gopal, 2-Griselle Ponce, 3-Jorjet Alcocer, 4-Burju Perez(Hacha y Machete),5-Amneris Martinez,6-Karel Flores

And ofc Eddie Torres above all :)

  • @Arkelas Eddie can not be classified,,, Degil mi Genc?

  • Comment removed

  • .. Alfredo Torres should be in this chart too :)

  • No Cubans? This is like a list of the best soccer players without any Brazilians. Just go to the streets of Havana or Santiago and you´ll find dancers who would belong to this list. Just compare Angel Santos from Havana and Eddie Torres right now and see who dances better (they are the same age). Yanek Revilla is the current king of salsa right now. Look them up on youtube.

  • @tibuchi1 wow not even one Colombian? the chart is sooo incomplete! what about Nilson y Daysy?

  • Jjuan Matos ..nice slide moves..and of course Eddie Torres..They have that fantastic natural Afro/Latin style....i love love love it..

  • I think Griselle should be higher

  • hey what?s the name of the of between 0:00 and 0:15 Seconds

  • WOOOH SHAKA BROWN @ 0:05 !!!!!!

  • I have to say my favorite is Jorjet Alcocer first and then Magna Gopal. These ladies have the moves, sensuality and flavor. Shaka Brown ofcourse

  • whats wrong with you people you obviously have not seen Nancy Ortiz move!! she is the best female dancer just by looking at her freestyle social dancing with her feet, its none of this exhaggerated hand motions, she makes the guy look good. her freestyle is rediculous! just watcher her social dancing with frankie martinez she showed him lol... but i love him he is very good. and Eddie just like to turn women alot not much dancing there...

  • Dude your missing a lot of dancers bro!!!! lol, don't get me wrong you hit some top ppl but jorget should have been in this list lol

  • SCHEISE

  • Just my opinion Ladies: 1. Jorjete 2. Melissa Rosado 3. Magna 4. Shani 5. Burju Men: 1. Frankie Martinez 2. Juan Matos 3. Adolfo 4. Shaka Brown 5. Gordon Neil
  • @pickleMTV fernando sosa??? number 1

  • Darlin Garcia !!!!!!!!!!!

  • what is the name of the song that starts the first 15 seconds?

  • Repping the women, Melissa Rosado is #1 without a doubt. Never got to attend a any of her classes in the Bronx but I met her haphazardly at a local gym in Pelham after having just learned about her and watching her consistently on youtube for two weeks. She's great.

And repping the men.. the Mambo King, Eddie Torres cannot be beat. Awesome duo!!

  • and neither do you pal... at least this is not a video on cacao and chocolate, but one of salsa and you know shit about it. im not a cook, but im not a salsa instructor either. you are embarrassing

  • einfach nur klasse !!

  • Griselle Ponce for ever

  • I have a couple that are Cuban NY SALSA dancers ... the BEST and they did dance under Eddie Torres ...need I say more

  • Can someone hook me up with the name of song playing at min 1:39!! thanks in advance!

  • best dancers in the world is an over statement, these are some great dancers i had the honor to watch and dance with most of them in nyc,one thing, for u not to mention any uptown dancers is a big mistake when we take floor is a wrap look up karisma, jamule, vitico, moreno, omar, thomas, among others, and the fact that u have joan there who's is a product of santo rico is further prove of why i said that..and for those hating, learn to dance in time and u will be taken seriously lol and eddy torres is#1

  • YOU THINK THEY'RE GOOD?????? LOOK UP "BAD SALSA", THESE KIDS WILL BLOW YOUR MINDDDD,, DON'T MIND THEIR LANGUAGE, I DIDN'T GET IT EITHER

  • you culd simply say .,the world best salsa dancers...i guess is easier

  • This is some bullshit list really some of the best dancers in the world aren't in this list

  • Salsa is from NY. Then you have the rest. And by the way, there is not such thing as Cuban Salsa. That is called Timba which is a complete different ballgame, mainly Son based

  • @oscarcarrillodelgado Brother, Timba is a slang name for the Popular Cuban music of the 90's. People call it Timba but its reallt Salsa Cubana or Casino. The word "Salsa" was invented in NY but in no way did the dancing start in NY, its started in Cuba then migrated to Puerto Rico brother, read up on ur history.

  • @PERU323 1. The name salsa was first used by piñeiro back in the 30s who happened to be cuban.

    2. The main ingredients of salsa music are mainly cuban, such as son, guaguanco and montuno. But what makes salsa unique from the cuban rhythms is its R&B base, addition that was first introduced by the late Tito puente

  • @oscarcarrillodelgado I like the way you cut and paste some stuff you read on the internet, lol, but anyway you original statement said salsa started in NY, and again that is wrong, Those elements you stated such as son, guaguanco and montuno are the base of what "salsa" is and you can discount its origin because you add some R&B rhythmes. Tito Puente, a legend in his own right, stated throughout his life how Afro-Cuban music influenced him greatly, here is some cut and paste of my own.

  • @PERU323 I didnt cut and paste shit man. You can also acquire some eloquence in your writing by reading a bit every once in a while. And Salsa keeps being from NY. Tacos are from Mexico, but Beef and Pork were brought from Spain. Cacao is from Mexico, but Chocolate bars are from Italy. The ingredients of salsa are mainly cuban. But it differs from its ingredients and was first put together in NY. El Malo by Hector Lavoe and Willie Colon

  • @oscarcarrillodelgado Cacao is from Mexico?? Its origins trace back to Central and South America, and the oldest found evidence of Cacao had been found in modern day Nicaragua, soo again you have no idea what the hell you are talking about. Im done talking with you.

  • @oscarcarrillodelgado"Ernesto “Tito” Puente grew up in New York City’s “El Barrio” in East Harlem when he heard Afro-Cuban music. Puente recalls. “Casino de la playa were my main influence on the Latin side, as was Arsenio Rodriguez, the king of the guaguanco. As I got older, Machito and Mario Bauza became my mentors and greatly influenced my musical upbringing.” As you can see they are alllll Cuban soo dont give me any of this salsa is from Puerto Rico or New York Crap!

  • Respond to this video...

    3. First timba songs where developed by los van van in 69 and adalberto Alvarez and irakere in the 70s but they named the genre songo being NG LA BANDA the first in calling it TIMBA which is commonly wrongly referred to as cuban salsa term that was first used by the tourists who visited the island by the 90s end.

As you can see the only one in need of a research is u pal. Its a sad tragedy seeing people like yourself trying to teach salsa

  • I think you must t do a new video people want to see more ,very very very nice ...thank you for posting ,the are really good dancer the know the secret ...

  • haha ok they are great dancers....I only see people from NY where are the rest?? then you should not say salsa but NY salsa ;)

  • @ferznator Oliver and Luda are from Australia

  • DUDE im glad we see eye to eye but to me juan matos is top 3! eddie torres awesome but remember we are in the new age of dancers! he is by far superior he shouldnt be in the countdown at all... hes in a dif league and you missed Adolfo Indacochea

  • Comment removed

  • The first song by Ray baretto is a chacha ..

  • @NikolasK88 No sir, that's a boogaloo and it's called "El Nuevo Barretto", from the 1968 album "Acid". Not because it's slow means it's chacha.

  • People: Stop complaining about the title of this video. NYsalsa101 uploaded it, and he or she can name it anything. Feel free to upload your own version of the "best salsa dancers in the world" for all of us to enjoy. Who cares anyway? It will not mean you are right or wrong. It all really is
