The problem with that is no one knows about you playing it. They know Westover has played and kept playing it. They play it well too! I was at the Westover/PF game this year and last year. They played it both years. Whether or not yours is or is not better doesn't really matter because at the end of the day that's a pretty weak move regardless. Don't come out the gate looking like jockers. This is not the way to earn the respect many of you state you are looking for.

No It looks like i created a monster with the Westover statement but yes westover did get it from Cookman cause its there song and transformed it into there fightsong in 2002..and yet there were the first NC band to march in the Flordia Classic ...im just saying what browneyedsax is saying westover and smith do the same thing but there differnt styles....you wont hear whs playing american boy or hovi and you wont hear smith playing swang or Intensity...its just a respect thing

Also, there are too many other songs that can be played. I think it's good to be able to play both corps and show but never lose your individuality. When playing "Let's Go" you will constantly be compared to Westover! That's not a bad thing, but be PINE FOREST.

As posted before the fight song actually belongs to Bethune Cookman University, we personally knew the people in their band who gave us the music for "Lets Go" and said it was cool. But as for the singing, its just something new and different man (no disrespect either)

I like this performance but I would lose the "Let's Go" to show more originality since Westover has been playing it for a minute. There are a light of fight songs to play that would work, you just need to get the arrangement

Everyone who knows about college bands knows that. It is what it is. I keep it 100%. Out of all the colleges that have fight songs, it doesn't look good that you are playing the same one that is being played in the same county. I like PF, but that just wasn't a good move. I know bands play the same songs at times (i.e. Big ballin, Neck, 400 etc) but the same fight song... You will never hear EES play Let's Go, (BC Version) and you will not hear Westover play I'm so glad.
