2 series with 8 episodes each then theres 2 series of ashes to ashes which is linked to life on mars wont say how itd ruin the end of life on mars. the americans did 17 episodes before pulling the plug still 16 episodes of quality against 17 episodes of canceled copied rubbish. the american one only had harvey kietel in it and was rubbish he is a mint actor one of the best but he wasnt a gene hunt

Before or after what Matthews, a writer for the series had intended to have? Sam enters a bar with an owner trying to remove some people. One of them goes "Touch me and I'll sue for assault." and Sam imagines Gene Hunt smashing down a door and decking them all in.

Yes thats correct, there is a definate spin off with Gene but what happens is unknowns.  Ive heard two rumours. Hes either going to 2007 with Sam, or, its set in the 80s. There will be no series three though.
