I do feel bad that it ends this way but we need to understand that it wasn't a gay story for a thirller... but a thriller with two guys who happened to be gay... so the thriller thing is first and the show was really exciting even if they died.

That said, I wanna write a movie in which we suceed, for a change ;)

I love British tv shows and films, so at first sight Nicholas looked so familir to me and checked out Ben Daniels on Imdb. then I rearised he was Tony in "Beautiful Thing"! it is a good film. :)

in Japan "State Within" aired on NHK which is the national channel and all my friends were surprised about the fact NHK could aired the show that contains such a gay kiss scene!!!

Yep, Japan is very conservative...still.

Japan's conservative? Well, it's one the greatest nations to live in I believe. I thought it is also very liberal in arts and literature, given all the yurri, yaoi manga it produces.

yep, I believe Japan is still very conservative in real life or social life. I do know there are heaps of girls loves yaoi or slash (we called them "Fu-jyoshi" in japanese) and that kind of stuff, but its only minolity. (And most of them who especially into comics loves yaoi/slash in only 2D world. not for real life, I reckon. )

Time has changing off course, however being gay in japan is not easy.

Thank you so so much for posting it, we can't see this show in France... I really love Chris and Nicholas both, I can't decide who is the most sexy and handsome! But, this end, OMG, I just can't believe it... I have decided to imagine another end, Chris survives, they are happy for ever... Too much sad, otherwise!! Hope we'll see more often Noam Jenkins on other shows, he's soooo cut!And maybe we'll finally find informations about him. :)

I just finished watching the series, highly recommended. The two of them make a VERY interesting couple, twisted yet alluring. The ending is sad though (but inevitable). I really like them as a couple so I'm not too bummed that there's no 2nd season because somehow I don't wanna see Nicholas without his "sweetheart" :(

Yeah, it was only 6 episodes long (wish it was longer). You can get it on dvd now, in the UK anyway.
