  • @cymrutroll He has troll IN his name lol

  • Why can't BBC channels ever upload anything in a decent format? 240p is shocking

  • @GedUK Lol, BBC used to tape over well loved tv shows so they could save money on tapes. I don't think they've ever cared about the quality of their programming.

  • @GedUK hahahaha get over it, it not even that bad.

  • He's Arnold Arnold Arnold Schwarzenegger it's funny when he goes ARGHARGHNERGGER

  • I wouldve probably killed myself if i was lister early on in season 1 lol. Rimmer was such an ass

  • @Stifflerguru LOL, I would have at least disabled the holo-computer...

  • From a clueless American: what's a zimmer?? Google isn't much help on this, I don't have enough context. Thanks in advance!

  • @silverfox42 Its a frame, sometimes with small wheels to help invalid or elderly people walk. Its full name is a zimmer frame ^.^

  • @MrMontyBurnsDog Thanks so much! I've also never heard them referred to as a "frame", here it's a "walker". Are you sure we're speaking the same language??? :D Best wishes for a wonderful 2012.

  • @silverfox42 And a warm 2012 to you too (if the doom mongers are correct we have about 12 months of fun left) On the plus side if the doom mongers are correct at least there wont be much chance of them walking around the next day saying `I told you so` ^.^

  • New ride at Disney

  • rimer song needs to become a meme

  • I owe my life to him! *forced smile*

  • lookin forward to the new series red dwarf X

  • @dennerz1992 theres gonna be a new series?

  • @dageezerboi yea there are going to be 2 six episode series i beleve there starting production this year

  • I love how the exit door says "Toodle Pipsky" hahaha.

  • I have just made a new word. It's called the "Rimmerface". The rimmerface is the characteristic smug and highly irritating smile of Rimmer. So for example: Please man, let me borrow a cig off you, i'm desperate. -pulls out full pack of cigarettes- No -rimmerface-. Thumbs up to spread this ingenious idea.

  • I love Red Dwarf! Why didn't they show this in America? I know that they attempted to make an American version, but the pilot sucked. Why not just show this?

  • The bit from 2:26 onwards is the best. I can't get that song out of my head...

  • @BooksMusicMe17

    Yea,It´s kinda catchy indeed :)

  • Welcome to the rimmer experiance a place of wonder exitement and ......... wonder

  • Actually, there were two pilots done for the US version. Neither of them ever aired, tho they can be found on YouTube.

  • @paireon there was, but it was such an epic fail, it was cancelled after one show. first Chariots of Fire, then this! when will they stop........

  • Damn this sends a shiver of awesomeness down my spine :D

  • Sir Lister of Smeg

  • @TheLegacyofHitchcock I think Kryten's character took a bit too long to build. It could have been worse though if they stuck with the original Kryten, he was terrible!

  • @17ETEP yeah the first episode when we see him was great but in term of character developement kryten was terrible

  • lyrics to thar rimmer song aren't true but still that song is damn awesome and catchy!

He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold RimmER! :)

i would take this ride again :D

  • "Stoke me a Clipper, I'll be back for Christmas!"

  • Disney will sue for this ride! iT'S SMALL WORLD!

  • @fozngrace after the 5 time seeying this video i just noticed that the begining of the rimmer song is the tune of its small world i love red dwarf

  • 5 people wet their kekks

  • I showed this to my younger stepbrother now he won't stop annoying me with it! But it's too HILARIOUS :'D

  • Hilarious show! I can't wait for the next installment!

  • LOL love the marching rimmer puppet thingies

  • Aahhhh the memories :L

  • I love that line Kryten says at the end "Sigmund Freud, eat your heart out."

Its honestly something you would never expect someone to say ever.

  • what happened to rimmer anyway? i haven't watched any episodes of red dwarf

  • @brazothegr8 he left to become the next Ace (hero of the universe)

  • rimmer never left the show, he was gone for like 2 episodes and he was still in those

  • loved this series.. but the only reason it lost its fun woz when kochanski came into it.. she woznt funny at all.. it cud have gone on longer otherwise :-)

  • when it came to the song i thought it was chris singing but i was shocked that it was not lol

  • Chris Barrie is awesome...really funny!!!

  • Chris Barrie, so brilliant.

  • Best moment in series 7

  • top class.

  • i thought he was afraid of swimming..?

  • @electrimx he isn't afraid he just can't

  • 'I owe my life to him!'

*turns to camera for cheesy grin*

  • @silentbob82

LOL more like a forced grin hahaha I was just thinking of this part and had to watch it again....hehe!!

  • Once you listen to this you will never be able to push it out of your head. Thanks god Chris Barrie returned to the show in the end!

  • i just looked up on youtube about red dwarf the american version and watched the first episode..it sucked REALLY BAD! i was cringing the whole way through 0_e

  • @ValkyrieCain123 wait a sec theres an american version?, but partick stewart was moaning that they ripped off the amricans with star trek and now theyre doing the same with red dwarf, fucking hipocrites

  • @dalektaliban It was a pilot for a series that never came about. Kind of like how The Americans did their own version of The Office and they've been doing it for the history of television. UK made Man About the House, America brought out Three's Company. UK made Till Death do us Part, US made All in the Family.

  • @Brittonsp

Sorry, but....The Geordie Shore. Please kindly shut up. At least America copied GOOD shows.

  • @BunnaySango You can only come up with one and it is only in recent history? I can come up with 107 including 3 different versions of Fawlty Towers. The US has been consistently doing this since the 60's and consistently making crappier versions of the UK product.

Besides, who shoved the stick up your arse? I was only answering a person's question about an American remake of red dwarf. Don't get your Red, White and Blue panties in a twist.

  • @Brittonsp You forgot Whose Line Is It Anyway. Have you seen the British one? Have you seen the American one? Did you even need to see the American one?

  • @ValkyrieCain123 That's because us Americans don't know how to use crass humour without making idiots of ourselves, yet seem to love to do it anyway.

  • @HisCarlnessI from what i understand the producers of these shows advise you americans on what works and what wont but as usual you americans don't like getting advice from anyone and basically tell the guys who have been running the shows successfully for years to "screw you we will do what we like". red dwarf just joined the list of shows to get the american touch because the american producers were too arrogant to accept the advise of the shows creators.

  • @ValkyrieCain123 Yes, unfortunately Americans try to "Improve" great shows like this like why did they hire Craig Bierko to play Dave Lister? I mean seriously? Dave Lister is meant to be an unhealthy overweight slob and Craig Bierko looked the complete opposite of that (Fit and attractive), They even did it to Kath and Kim of Australian fame, the Americans took a show about two completely unattractive women who think they are gods gift and turned it into a show with the opposite

  • @LurchibaldBioshock *sigh* why can't they leave things alone? ;^;

  • 4 people made elemetary mistakes as usual.

  • WHY ARE THE BBC USING COMMERCIALS!! DON'T YOU ROBBING BASTARDS GET ENOUGH FROM THE LICENCE FEE....NOW PLAY THE VIDEO YOU TW@TS!!

  • @xpietmaasx It's Youtube doing the Adverts not the BBC...

  • @xpietmaasx BBC isn't putting up the ads, youtube is.

  • @xpietmaasx because BBC Worldwide isn't funded by the License...

  • @xpietmaasx

Use FireFox. Install AdBlocker Plus and NoScript.

Live oblivious of YouTube's ads for several months until you notice comments complaining about them.

  • @xpietmaasx The commercial is from youtube, it's why the service is free.

  • @xpietmaasx

That's a bit of an over the top response, don't you think?

The licence fee is how the BBC can show no ads, they have to make money somewhere. Many youtube vids have ads, I don't get why people get annoyed over it, you can skip them after five seconds, learn some patience.

  • @eragonsaphira777 They make money from the LICENCE FEE.....or, BBC fee as i call it because no one else gets a share. So I expect no adverts, overwise scrape the licence fee and we can all enjoy cheaper televison.

  • Rimmer is the best

  • @brazdic71 I owe my life to him.

  • greatest tv moment ever

  • the best part of red dwarf ever !

  • is this funny?

  • British comedy at it's very best.

  • at 3:00 you can see Craig fighting a laugh I swear.

  • The puppet bit kills me every time.Howard Goodall's song is hilarious.

  • fucking doritos!

  • rimmer!

  • Who does he think I am? A woodwork teacher!?!!

  • "....I owe my life to him!"

    Cracks me up everytime! :D

  • 4 people can go toodlipipski!

  • Is it me or did Lister lose some of his accent as the series continued?

  • @MeebletTheGamer he couldnt have, its his real accent... isnt it? yeah craig charles, the reason hes famous is for his accent and of corse... robot wars, did he have an accent on that? i remember him with one?

  • @badassgangstaa yeah he did have the accent on robot wars...and even had it on eastenders (what few times i ended up watching any of that crap)

  • I want to go on that ride!

  • smmmmeeeeeeeeeee

  • I THINK RIMMER WAS THE BEST OF THE CREW..BUT THEN THEY WERE ALL GREAT...LIKE THE 3 STOOGES...SHEMP WAS MY FAVORITE..BUT I LOVES ALL 6 OF THE STOOGES

  • I liked the part when he said Arnold Rimmer.

  • @Grim1Tuesday2 i must have missed it. could you set up the time indexes?

  • This sketch was one bright moment in an otherwise lousy series. RD should have stopped after the first 6 series and when that smeg-head Naylor (or was it Grant?) re-mastered the first 6 series, all the charm was removed. For me, the grand RD fanfare that opened the first 2 series episodes sent tingles down my spine. I have old VHS recordings of the originally released episodes to make life less grimmer.

  • love this but the song is the best part EVER

    He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer

  • i love the midi choir in the bacground during the chorus

  • "He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer, without him life would be much grimmer..." Indeed, indeed. I missed the smeghead when he was gone. :P

  • It's true, he IS a fantastic swimmer! In fact, he has a Bsc, Ssc.

  • red dwarf <3

  • i could only stand the 1st 3min of the american version. Nefritari you're right it does suck

  • When did they make an american version? and it better have sucked

  • @Nefritari

It's very American humour, like ninth season Friends. And the guy playing Rimmer made the character seem very very gay.

  • @Nefritari every american version of an english tv show is always bollocks

  • Why have 4 people pressed thumbs down?

  • "Toodle pipski" is on the exit doors :P

  • One of the best songs in comedy.

  • red dwarf is english

  • Oh my gosh. I don't know what to say other than this whole video made me smile. This is SO in Rimmer's character as far as the song. XDDDD

  • he isnt bald and his heaD dosent glimmer

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • Rimmer´s imaginary version of Lister as a wuss is so funny!

  • 2: 20 catchy tune

  • lol on the back of the door on the exit it says "toodley pipski"

  • The song at the end is just epic XD!

    I love Red Dwarf ^^

  • adverts arghh

  • "A place of wonder, excitement, and...... wonder."

"Wait a minute, here comes the best bit!"

"He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer, without him life would be much grimmer, he's handsome, trim and noone's slimmer, he will never need a zimmer. He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold rimmer, more reliable a garden strimmer"

    Hahaha

  • Yeah, we just watched the video... didn't really need you to transcribe it for us.

  • somebody save us before i wet me kex

  • series 7 isnt as good as the rest because there's no rimmer. But the rimmer experience is awesome. my favourite series are 1,2 and 3 with the original holly

  • Female Holly doesn't hold a candle to the original Holly.

  • Agreed.

  • i totally agree. good thing they brought him back for season 8

  • yeh original holly was the best but i think the female one was still very good, it was when rimmer left and kachanski came into it when it started too loose some of its charm though imo, she was not a likeable character, rimmer was an asshole but he was still very likeable. that is what made him so great.

  • @spacecoke I agree with exactly all that you said I never liked Kachanski and when Rimmer left I feel like they tried to replace him with her.

  • @spacecoke You sumed it up pretty well.

  • @spacecoke ino i miss the original holly he was a legend

  • @spacecoke also its when they animated the flight aswell tbh it all started to go in i think it was season six when rhimmer left animation started and i think it was when kachanski came on

  • I don't know about anyone else, But rimmer looks like Rick Astley at one point xD

But i beleive series 5 and/or 6 were the best, Mostly because of Gunmen of the apocalypse or Psibirdsm, Then again every episode is awesome :D

  • lmao i love it

  • What series and episode is this?

  • series 7 episode 5 called "blue"

  • Thank you (:

  • I think it's episode 8 of season 7.

  • love it, so stupid and sooooooooooooooo funny

  • The american version of red dwarf sucked.

  • true that

  • there was an american version? no wonder it sucked XDDD

  • @EWstreetbackguy The american version of anything bbc sucks

  • @EWstreetbackguy They made an American version???

  • @Strobertat Yes, but it sucked.

  • @EWstreetbackguy what is the american red dwarf?

  • @hoolahoop75 watch?v=kHi-20-HtUs

  • @EWstreetbackguy well done...

  • @EWstreetbackguy it wasnt to bad its just the actors wearnt to gd

  • @GoXtReMeGaMeS Noo. IT FUCKING SUCKED UNDERSTAND?

  • @EWstreetbackguy NO, there is NO SUCH THING as an american version of RED DWARF!!! LALALALA I-CA-AN'T-HEEAAR-YOU...

  • unfortunately, there was a pilot which NBC didn't like...

  • @paireon I couldn't like this comment more. A US version of Red Dwarf would be like hell on a plate!

  • @EWstreetbackguy What? there's any American version?

  • @Vojife As much as I'd like to deny their existence, there were two pilots made around the time of Series 5. Only Robert Llewellyn (Kryten) kept his part, the other parts were filled by other actors.

In one pilot, Cat was played by Terry Farrell (probably best remembered as Dax in Star Trek Deep Space 9).

You can see them on YouTube if you search for them - but don't say I didn't warn you, they are terrible!
