@Cireiskira I think there's no "wrong" door. He can't open two doors at the same time. He leaves the cupboard's door open when he has the heart attack, so when the medics open the other door, they break the seal.
I think he is sick (problems with his heart) so he called the demon and made a pact in order to be healthy. That's why he take pills and he has a heart failure. And in the end, the demon throws a heart in front of the guy.

I like the tension and passive-aggressiveness in the interaction between the demon and the conjurer. Although I tend to think these movies work best in brief, I wouldn't mind seeing this longer.

In my opinion this is one of the best interpretations of OCD I have ever seen. Or at least what someone with OCD feels. Like there is this demon sitting there, and if you dont follow the exact rituals something bad will happen. I am not sure if that was the intent, but as someone with OCD, it came across that way. Very well done.

This is all speculation, but the demon could have been his wife or lover. She passed on, and he tried to bring her back. He was only able to do so as part demon. So he laid the curse on her, and just kept her there, in some delusion that they're still together. When the cabinet was left open, and the paramedics opened the door, the curse was broken and she got him a new heart. That or he could be taunting her, or lots of other things. It really makes you think, great work!

I'm glad I came into this cold without the tagline about demons. I agree with PerpetualMindDump in that I love how we see everything that happens, but not every question is answered. I had thought I caught a mistake early on when Albert left the drawer open: "Ok, a neat freak just left the drawer open." And then Albert stepped back to close it and I was right back into the film. ~(Saikotic)

I get it, but the only thing I'm wondering is why he had a heart attack, was the showing of all his pills to show how unhealthy he is and foreshadow his impending health, or... Because that's the only bit I don't get, the heart attack bit

maybe the demon killed his wife or something and thats why hes like mocking it with the cereal and water thing.. and maybe hes keeping it there so it doesnt kill anyone else.

Oh also neat touch I noticed but forgot to comment on, she never blinks, it's subtle but gives a nice creepy touch.
Kinda like how in Terminator 3 they digitally removed Arnolds blinking when he shoots weapons or got pummeled to make him look more inhuman.

Scary is your comfort zone...taken from you. The best horror is, as the Daywalts have discovered so well, having what you think you know and expect, becoming the unknown and unexpected. Like getting a warm, loving hug from grandma, and then catching a glimpse of her maniacal grin in the mirror behind you. You guys are a great team!

I'm glad I came into this cold without the tagline about demons. I agree with PerpetualMindDump in that I love how we see everything that happens, but not every question is answered. I had thought I caught a mistake early on when Albert left the drawer open: "Ok, a neat freak just left the drawer open." And then Albert stepped back to close it and I was right back into the film. ~(Saikotic)

The quality is just getting better and better. Brilliant. I'm don't know why people had a hard time following this, it seemed pretty straightforward to me after I saw the door handle bar thing on the "magic script/seal". Really imaginative stuff.
