32 Battalion was mostly former Angolan people who joined South Africa (SADF) during this war. They didn't want communism to take their Country.
White and Black were well looked after during this war, we even treated enemy soldiers in our hospitals! While the enemy would execute ours!! ALL children were transported in protected vehicles in Namibia! There was no racism in the SADF.
The facts are that South Africa conquered Namibia from Germany during WW1. After the war, S.A. was given a mandate for the territory. When time came to give it up, S.A. refused, wanting it as a makeshift province; using Apartheid policies there as well. That's why war was begun, that's why S.A. was attacked, that's why white soldiers died.
They died because their government refused to recognize the humanity of blacks and their right to independence and self rule!!!!!!!!
