I have always shot Canon and Nikon DSLR's. I got my first Oly e420 about a year ago and absolutely LOVE the image quality from Olympus. Their kit lenses are the absolute best available and make the kits a huge value, I'm getting the 620 and have no worries it will produce outstanding images. They are hands down the best value cameras considering what you get. I still love my pro bodies but the Oly is my take anywhere, and backup.
I have this camera and one of my mates has the nikon d5000 and another the canon eos450d
Between us we have tested these three and have agreed that the image quality is much better and the camera is just better in general, even with the loss of video capture.
not sure if it would appeal to the user in this price segment... you stupid cunt.
this camera is for people who want to go into the details and complexity without spending 2 grand on a camera body.
go choke on an sd card you stupid uneducated minge.
on the flip side.. since when do people care what CNET has to say if their job is to push the products rather than share unbiased reviews which holds no real value.
You give this lady a Leica, and she will tell you it's the worst than a point and shoot.

@IncredibleCheese Really? I'm looking to buy this camera and I'm torn between it and the Canon 450D. Care to advise?
Cheers

yes i do agree it is under canon and nikon although 560 vs 800-900
so the price and iq is worth it you can get a gripped 560 for less than canon and nikon's body
check out pbase images see for yourself olympus systems are the best for IQ
