Excessive levels here. You can beat this boss with level 25's easily when you first come to Nibelheim. I ran Cloud/Barret/Tifa, levels 26/25/25 and I smoked him. The key is having the enemy skill "Big Guard" - look up how to get it. With it, this battle is a cinch.

@MaidenFan24568 What I did was I leveled up by fighting enemies near the chocobo farm continuously, and when my health was low I would Just sleep the night at the farmers house, it was like 200 gil or something, but you get alot of gil from the enemies you beat, so it was okay.

I took on Lost Number as a lvl 27 with Aeris and Tifa. He's pretty easy to handle if you seal his moves with either Aeris's Limit Break "Seal Evil" or the ChocoMog summon. As for the "Odin" summon, well it became on of my favorites. It's another option if you don't want to lvl up for forever before going to get Vincent.

@knag91 if u use magic he turns into the red form when you use physical attacks he turns into a nightmareish purple/green form thats extremely strong that will surely kill you the trick is use magic first to turn him into his weaker form then spam physical attacks

@knag91 I think he means phases, there is a more physical based one and I believe a magic based one (the one you got) I believe the form is determined by the attacks you use

this boss is a joke I beaten him using only lvl 26 characters, just summon the chocobo and it would paralyze him for a good 2 minutes. Then just spam lvl 2 spells.

Respond to this video...  ok people who play this in psp im here to save you, al you have to do is not pasd the number when you have to turn it to 36 dont pass it, if you pass the number and go back to clock it, it wont work, be exact with number so go slow when you near number so wont pass it

it means you should only press the directional button based on the number you got it? for example you hold the right button for 36 but you hold too long so you missed it so you pressed left it will fail

@markbray69 My method is to use invocations in every fight, by this way you can hit a few enemies at the same time and finish the battle faster, this is a shit but I hope it really help you. I am on lvl 31 right now and I was using it for now

@ampness0987 are you refering to the room with the safe or the one in the basement with Vincent inside? You need the key to open the door to go to the room with vincent in it, the key is from the safe. You should be able to enter the room with the safe, if you can't then I really don't know, srry.
