Pretty much any guitar can give you a clean sound if you tapp the strings........ unless the guitar is a COMPLETE POS. But generally keeping a tap clean is all you my friend.

To do this well you really need to use a guitar designed for this technique. Most guitars can't produce a very clean sound from just tapping the strings. Most guitarist who will decide to take the path of playing guitar with this technique will have to do a lot of experimentation with string gauge/tension and guitars. You may also have to play with the guitars bridge heighth.

yea it doesnt have to do with the amp you really got to hit the neck pretty hard to get a good volume out of the guitar when tapping of course trying to keep your hands relaxed at the same time

best way i have had said to me is its like a cat jumping it jumps with a ton of attack then as soon as it is in the air it relaxes same idea with your hands
