  • is it me or does the ref look a bit like bob saget

  • Fedorov will always be one of the best skaters ever.

  • Who cares about who's the fastest, look how smooth Fedorov is on his skates, it's unbelievable.

  • Im Faster Than Evryone!

  • Look at that beauty mullet.

  • Referee Doug Wilson has the most beautiful hair I've ever seen.

  • @aidanday some day you must google Al Iafrate then

  • @neilo11 YOU SIR ARE CORRECT

  • IM FASTER THAN HIM

  • Pavel Bure was the fastest skater.

  • MIKE GARTNER WOULD HAVE SHITTED ON THESE GUYS

  • @steven4rmnewyork true that

  • @steven4rmnewyork Hell yeah he would have! Mike Gartner was the fastest of all time! no one has touched his record in the NHL Skills competition. Gartner / Vanbiesbrouck was the best!

  • @steven4rmnewyork

i recall Fedorov and Gartner going head to head and Fedorov won... I'mma look it up and get back to you.

  • Why did the Sabres ever change their logo?

  • im canadian, but russians practice the shit out themselves to get that good

  • I could do it 14 seconds flat

  • Holy fuck its DW

  • i was more impressed by fedorov's skating then mogilny's skating

  • I didn't know Bob Saget could play referee

  • @didntthinkofthat Thats actually the GM for the San Jose Sharks lol

  • Comment removed

  • Bure and Fedorov would have been better mathcup

  • What effort

  • please people if you can find out alexander mogilny's email please tell me. my last name is ****** mogilny so I want to ask him if we share some realitives in common

  • @Eagleblade22 alexandermogilny@nhl.com, no problem brah, I email him all the time hes really good at responding fast!

  • look at that mullet on the ref

  • If i was in a speed competition i would make sure my skates were sharppp

  • shabalala

  • boumeester

  • sergei is amazing.

  • Imagine if Vancouver could have somehow gottent Bure, Federov and Mogilny on the same line...They almost had Bure/Mogilny in Vancouver but Bure got injured and then he asked for a trade, missed opportunity. OH AND THE COACH WANTED THEM TO FOCUS ON DEFENCE...WTF

  • In-game I'd like to add Bure...and Paul Kariya, maybe Bondra...but a race from Point A to point B like say a quarter mile, I'd imagine Gartner would win.

  • Dude, Pavel Bure's my ALL TIME FAVOURITE HOCKEY PLAYER, I know Bure's the fastest.

  • Both of these guys are 2 of the greatest of all time. Bure, Federov and Mogilny were amazing.

  • believe it or not these guys played on the same line before the NHL in Russia with none other than Pavel Bure. Scary line there. Then years later Pavel would start banging Sergei's underage girlfriend.

  • fedorov skates so effortlessly it's amazing

  • fastest was clearly Mike Gartner

  • @oasisbeyond

Mike Gartner was hands down the fastest skater ever.

  • IN game notice i said IN game, bure was the fastest player ive ever seen. flat out speed was federov

  • tony amonte is the fastest in nhl history

  • @robwatson87 Nope Pavel Bure

  • thats why bure has never won a speed skills competition, fedorov was the fastest ever

  • @Kipperluongo

Bure wasn't the same after the knee injury, it slowed his game alot.

  • @JamesThWilliams

He was still fast, he could speed up like a mofo, but yeah those fuckers tried to injure him and they suceeded.

  • @mikeissocool19 Bure did compete and won He was around these days as well but wasnt as fast as fedeove fuck the skills compatitions the games proves everything search up bure this one vid he comtains the puck and goes half way on a break away and scores and does it multible times bure was amazing fast as fuck and a good goal scorer..

  • @mikeissocool19 It can only be determined in VS not so much by time because ice conditions can knock or add full seconds to your time.

  • @EAchankre Ya but these were mutible times that bure has proven. You have no idea how fast pavel bure can skate he was alot faster then mogilny when they were both playing for the canucks even threw the year 1999.

  • haha i knew fedorov was going to win

  • listen everyone talking about present day players like gaborik or st. louis you gotta understand they are fast great players.. but guys like fedorov... we're talking about one of the fastest and best in nhl history

  • Dont buy into the fastest skater at the Allstar competitions. They are just the fastest Allstar not the fastest NHL player. Example, Federov destroyed everyone every year in the Allstar race but he wasnt even the fastest skater on his team. Chris Draper was.

  • Bure was AMAZINGLY fast in NHL 94 for SEGA!! haha

  • Yeah I remember Wes Walz beat Gaborik when they were both on the Wild.

  • @1EpicLulz HAHAHAHAHA! Kris draper? Are you on crack he wasn't even close fedorov won all of the red wings speed skills competitions for like 6 years straight don't even give me that bull

  • Mogilny woulda beat Federov as the first Russian to 1000 points... but i remember alex got injured... an federov got to catch up an overtake him.

  • your not talking about simon gagne right??? The fastest in the nhl now....would probablt be helm and cogliano

  • gaborik or gagne r the fastest in the nhl now

  • no raymond, bouwmeester, ovechkin

  • r u high? i take craps faster than ovy

  • @IHRHHF

    that must really hurt....

  • yea it hurts.... ALOT. but do u really think ovy is fast?

  • @gobluejackets61 lol ovechkin is a biig guy, he's not that fast, well he's fast just not :P.

  • He is fast. Rick Nash is a big guy but hes reealy fast

  • i thought Cogliano is too

  • I gotta go with Matt Lombardi for fastest straight-ahead skater in the game right now... dude has got THE stride.

Hossa's up there too. Definition of power skater.

  • Doug Wilson has a glorious mullet.

  • mike cammalleri

  • Faster than Fedorov at his best?

Scott Niedermayer, perhaps. If not, I wouldn't bet against Kharlamov.

Right now, Ovechkin is very explosive, but you have to think of a smaller player... anyone between Gionta or Cammalleri might do the job. If not, Marek Svatos is something to see. Marian Gaborik when he's not injured.

To my sense, if yo ucompare to the players of their era, the one that was really TOO fast was Kharlamov hands down. In fact. most Russian super stars are too fast.

  • yeah what about darren helm from the redwings

  • @GueorguiJoukov maybe st. louis

  • @ghostdude123456

I doubt, Brian GIonta outskates him - just saw the habs game and it was clear that Montreal's winger was faster than St-Louis.

Bure and Fedorov were making the full arena within 15,5 seconds in competition... Faster than this, I can put Scott Niedermayer...

If not, I can count Petr Bondra, Oleg Petrov, and perhpas suprisingly to you, Alex Kovalev, as contenders. Kovy is not as fast as he used to be - he's 38. Yet, one year, he was just behind Niedermayer at the all-star.

  • @GueorguiJoukov Well you can't just decide whether someone is faster then another guy in one game, I'm sure if St. Louis was in something like this he may be up with Fedorov, thought he looks more like a straight-forward skater rather then swerving cones.

And I like that chance you put in there, Kovy is somewhat fast, but I think Fedorov can still beat him in something like this.

  • The speed difference was quite clear and even if you consider St Louis just as fast as Gionta or even slightly faster, he's not going to get Bure or Fedorov - those guys were the two fastest forwards of their times.

St-Louis is fast, but he's not the NHL best skater while Bure and Fedorov were.

  • As somebody already told you, you forgot few other names who were fast skaters. Like Mike Gartner and Teemu Selänne.

Kovalchuck might not be good in this competition by his speed. If he would be, I think it would be because of his puck control skills

  • Kovalev is 36.

  • since when did we start measuring time over 60

  • milliseconds have always been measured over 60...

  • @harasym16

    mili means 1/1000

Of course, if you are american, it may explain how you cannot get this one easily. Obviously, imperial to metric, there are vocabulary differences.

Want me to put up all of them? The most used are:

    Micro(1/1 000 000), mili (1/1000), centi(1/100), deci (1/10)

then goes the standard unit and then, those:

    hecto (x100), kilo (x1000), mega(x1 000 000), giga (x1 000 000 000).

  • i'm not american i'm Canadian

  • @harasym16 that sucks, im sorry

  • @harasym16 im canadian also but canada is in north america so we are american

  • Haha. There's 1 millisecond in 0.001 seconds... Think about it. If we used your method of time, there would be chaos.

  • I don't think Fedorov ever lost one of these stupid Gretzky challenges. He beat Bure in Speed, and Mogilny in handling and agility. And both times the stupid fake ref with the whistle bet agaisnt Sergei. Never bet agaisnt Fedorov you retard, he has more skill in one of his little fingers than all of us posting here combined with our whole bodies.

  • ммм... какое катание у Федорова))) когда же заиграет?..

  • theyre not even trying for god sake!

  • Afenigenov is pretty fast tho... (spelling on Afenigenov?) :p

  • Afinogenov

  • darren helm watch him on her hes pretty much hockey jesus

  • I know Alex mogilny's son and daughter. they are cool

  • fedorov was in stevies shadow..

  • your also a retard

  • You're*

  • @pruane2isgod you're*

  • Yeah, like you outskate former NHL greatest skaters at their peak.

I hope Detroit leaves places on the bench for your ass; Datsyuk is quite nice, but it's been a while since Fedrov has left and the team is geting old; an other star won't be too much.

Or perhaps Bufalo regret their former Russian super stars... Since they prefered Vanek to Briere and Drury, they're no longer laughing; perhaps , if you have a chance, could you help them a bit.

  • He's 11 lol, He understands the world diffrent than we do.

As far as i'm concerned that kid might be thinking that those players are 3 inch tall just like in the screen lol

  • sad that fed left the wings, i miss seeing yzerman, fed play

  • @ridesnow1991 yeh but now we got the 4 russians on one team :)

  • additional pylons

  • hahahaha

  • he left cuz his dad encouraged him to go somewhere where he can be the star. they got shanny cuz they wanted size and toughness. And he went to shithole anaheim when they sucked for money.

  • mmm...i think gaborik is the fastest

  • they are pros ur a loser

  • that's not game time speed.

  • they do this as fast as they care about it, not a single bit.....

  • Fedorov was unbelievable. He was by far the best player in the world.

  • i only think fedorov was the best player for about a year, he quickly dropped off the map

  • about 3 seasons, nobody in the league, before or since could cut an edge like him, as you see in this vid, he stayed upright so well, which makes the speed carry, moginly was leaning left and right and was forcing alot more leg work, #91 was a star, and had he not been coached by scotty bowman, a) he gets no cup, b) he scores way way more goals,,,,,

  • he sucked ever since he left the wings,

I dont see why anyone would ever leave that team

  • He left because he wasn't getting the amount of money he should of got paid. Why would you offer more money to Brendan Shanahan? Fedorov along with the Russians showed the Red Wings the puck possession game.

  • Much like football hein? Hard to set point on the board without much possession time left.

At least did it worked for a while! They played the last 23 series (4/7rounds) with ice advantage... Not bad... 4 rounds a year maximum; it's been a while they didn't played 4 playoff games away.

  • see this doesnt matter now because moginly sucks now and federov is still good

  • thats cause mogilny isnt even PLAYING stupid

  • Mogilny already retired, you can't compare them now.... i know....

    Daigle >>>> Gretzky

because Daigle is still playing hockey, lol.

  • that was worthless

  • Mogo's hilarious!! My hero as a kid

  • SILK!!!

  • some question here

  • Mogilny was good, but not great without Patty!

  • Man I can remember Fedorov on the Wings back in the day and I feared that guy for his speed, passing and his shot. His numbers used to be huge! Now days he's slacking to hell, 40 points in the last few years? Reminds me of Kovalev, they both try when they feel like it.

  • The NHL ain't the same either...

  • like all russians...i dont mean that in a bad way or anything but most russians (not all) can absolutely suck for like 10 games and then score like 7 goals and 4 assists in 1 game :D

  • @NHLfreak87 lol yeh

  • like look at kovy (atlanta)... he can be acting like a baby taking immature penalties but then the next road trip he scores consecutive hat tricks lol

  • Fedorov is just getting old, lol.

  • @InFlames511 Yeh he's in his earli 40s now I think, not sure, he's still the best in my book tho.

  • because he's not a pure goal scorer and playes a 2 way game????

  • It doesn't look to me like they are trying very hard. By the way, its Bure who is fastest and most agile with the puck. Hands down. He had more break aways for how many games he played than anyone else. Fedorov is amazing with the puck, but he couldn't blow through guys like Pavel and still be a full speed.

  • Fedorov is my all time fave player, if the Wings kept him. The Wings, Datsyuk and Zetterberg would probably get even higher numbers.

  • federov was 1 of the best but hes to old now he still has great assists but his shot and speed arent as great as before

  • Fedorov is the fastest and most agile WITH the puck. Without it he is still up there but there were a few guys faster than him over the past 20 years...and unlike the Bure video, both guys WERE trying in this one, and Fedorov won it by a wide margin.

  • Have to say Gartner is the fastest, but with the puck, I would say it would be Bure. That was an impressive display by Federov though.

  • Lombardi is by far the fastest skater playing in the NHL right now

  • Mike Gartner is the NHL fastest skater ever. check your source bro!

  • Hey guys for the record, when Fedorov, Mogilny AND Bure (the youngest)played on the same line in the 1989 GOLD medal olympic team. Pavel Bure received the "best forward" trophy....and sadly was the first one FORCED to retire and given no respect at all.

  • i miss mogilny

  • Bure would beat both of these great players :=)

  • i think Federov, Modano, St Louis and Gaborik is the best skters

  • you think wrong. It's actually Afinogenov at the present.

    Bure in the past.

  • Mike Gartner was recorded as the fastest player EVER!!!!!

  • Mogilny is better

  • for my money there's no better skater in the nhl than modano, he glides faster than most others sprinting

  • umm....no, modano is NOT the fastest no more, now its more like Matthew Lombardi, Scott Niedermayer etc.

  • fedorov, the most fluid effortless skater. mogilny, the most electrically fast and best shooter. Bure, 0 to 60 in three strides and a wicked goal scorer. all on one line.

  • mogilny proved his speed and accuracy

  • Man Fedorov was unstoppable in the early 90s, Mogilny was awesome too, but i think the best out of all of them is Pavel Bure.

  • You think wrong.

  • thy werent even trying

  • did you not watch the video?

fedorov is a waaaay better rounded player.

faster, bigger, shoots harder, hes got it all.

  • Mogilnys the best

  • Sergei got mo' skills :P
