The biggest downside to not studying music theory is I don't know how to write stuff like this. Beautiful work. Great job.

Start out with one scale (A Min for ex) and learn all the positions... you'll see the pattern and it'll mature from there. Positive attitude ;-)
Btw - nice backing track - may use myself!

Seems like the guitar plugged directly (maybe guitarport?) into Logic then Gearbox VST plugin applied.
