  • These broads have ants in their pants

  • It's 100% True, RTL (Vocally) was The Best it could have been with Scherrie & Lynda, They were Hands Down better Vocalists, The only Game Changer might have been Flo Ballard, Sadly that was not a possibility, Anything else is Spin & The work of Public Relations representatives, Not Reality

  • Then Sombody stop the Bigassbear from defaming Ms Wilson daily OKay??????

  • @mizzfoxy9 Hey, mizzfoxy, I know I am, why would Diana, take the time to sing with Supremes she never performed with when the group got back together in 2000? Even if her and Mary Wilson were or were not speaking or wasnt available she knows that once a Supreme always a Supreme, I heard her and Mary Wilson say that out of their own mouths. And from what I can hear Payne and Terrell sound just as good if not better than Birdsong/Ballard/and Wilson. It's just soooo silly to me!

  • @artist40hou I totally agree...........

  • Everybody, stop the bashing already. It happens in the business all the time. Without promotion and marketing/distribution doesn't matter how talented you are, your records will not sell consistently. Without all the outside interference from the business the Supremes are still the Supremes from Ballard to Ross to Wilson to Terrell, Birdsong, Payne, Greene, McGlown, Martin, all of them had talent or else they would not be signed, their height happen to be during their time with Ross, big deal?

  • @artist40hou You are so right

  • this is the jam. I love this song. thank you for posting this.

  • Flo would of Eventually Slapped the Crap out of Mary, being that Mary was the one who actually pushed the Hardest to retire "The Supremes", in order to "Enhance" her "Solo" career, (How did that work out Miss Mary?) LOL!!!!!

  • Kudos to Mary for keeping the Supremes alive despite the changes, the group continue to represent talent, style sophistication and beauty. Flo would have been proud.

  • yeah they been dead since 1969, may they rest in peace

  • Well it's safe to conclude that ronaldrkmartinmartin, TWTR4EVER, Bigbear39ca, and Motown Maniac are all toxic, bitter, ugly individuals consumed with hate and resentments about women they don't know and events that occurred 3 or more decades ago. What existentially useless individuals.

  • @charcas67 Excuse Moi,I Liked all The Supremes & thought they all had Talent, EXCEPT ONE, Hint, She Killed the Group in 1977

  • @bigbear39ca - You've seem pretty pointless yourself since all you do this bitch about post-Ross Supremes.

  • @bigbear39ca You like Scherrie because she was willng to play second fiddle to Diane BACKSTABBING CONNING Ross during the year 2000 "Return To Love Fiasco Tour" that we THE SUPREMES fans stop it right on its tracks when MARY WILSON & CINDY BRIDSONG were sideline by Diane's greed and manipulations one more time!

A SUPREMES reunion it's not going to be about Diane Ross, she better get that into her screwed up head!

We want "Stoned Love" "Floy Joy" & "Nathan Jones" Diane did not sing in those!

  • @TWTR4EVER - nobody wants stone love, floy joy, nate jone or the theme from blacula,

those old ghetto supremes, no,no,no, we want the hits from the 60's. the hits the whole world knows.

not the songs only known in slums detroit

  • @ronaldrkmartinmartin How can you like the 60's Supremes hits and yet be a racist?

  • @charcas67 - i'm not being racist. the supremes of the 60's had class and were polished and glamorous.

but not these supremes they were more like those Blaxploitation movies. horrible and cheap, so 70's

  • @ronaldrkmartinmartin Sorry, but you are a racist. Your choice of racially tinged words to put down the 70's Supremes. If you weren't a racist, you wouldn't have to resort to such rhetoric as blaxploitation, ghetto supremes, slums detroit. One can articulate criticism of the 70's Supremes without having to resort to racial insults. BTW, so many of the people commenting on this video are truly sad and pathetic, not just ronaldrkmartinmartin.

  • @charcas67 I don't think it's racist to call them ghetto compared to the 60's group. Whatever, the yeowling going on here is that of a just another group of talented, unfocused R&B singers that couldn't compete with the other female groups of the day. They have nothing to do with The Supremes except the name and using some of their songs.Groups like this were and are a dime a dozen and it takes a star to bring them home to iconic status.None of these women had it and none succeeded after the fact.

  • @TheMotownManiac The way you and this ronaldkmartinmartin use ghetto is most definitely racist and classist as you're using it as epithet to put them down. At least owe up to it, but y ou won't. Pathetic that a couple of people who claim to be 60's Supremes fans are racists and lack even the courage and integrity of a kkk member to acknowledge they are racists. Also, you consider this music r and b? The orchestrations here are pure Vegas sell out cheese.

  • @charcas67 - soory if you think its racist but the truth is gordy wasn't paying in attention to detail with these supremes, they are a 70's clich'e. cheap costumes and wigs. thats why they didn't survive

  • @charcas67- FYI- ronaldKMart is part of a group of DIane fans that travels to all THE 1970'S SUPREMES, FLORENCE BALLARD & MARY WILSON videos to demean, trash, belittle any of their accomplishments to merely elevate Diane Ross, this is a "sick" bunch!

Now if you go to The Diane Ross videos and leave a mere "factual comment" of how Diane achieved her stardom through the TRAMPLING of THE SUPREMES, her "sex for stardom" agreement with"THE BOSS" Motown/Berry Gordy and ON, you're out of line?:-)

  • @TWTR4EVER - the same thing your doing you silly gay bitch

  • @TWTR4EVER - I guess Mary's message about stopping the trash talk fell on deaf ears. Make sure you run back to Yahoo and report to your homophobic leader.

  • Thank you Jesus! they laid these supremes to rest, they had been dead for years

    before they called it quits

  • I met the Supremes in Amsterdam in 1977 and had seen them in London on their High Energy tour the year before shortly after Florence Ballard had died , it was a fab concert and a great album , will never forget it my only complaint was that a few of us hung around the stage door for an hour or more in the freezing cold after the show and we were disapointed that we didn't get autographs , they were whisked away c'est la vie made up for it when I met them in person in amsterdam .

  • noise, ugly noise

  • Hey TWTR4EVER and BlogShag - KNOCK IT THE HELL OFF!

I just want to see and hear some Supremes performances, not slog through the narcissistic ramblings of two self-important queens. It's been over 30 years since the official Supremes packed up their tent - give it rest already!

If the world sees us as bitchy as you two, it's no wonder we're still being gay-bashed out on the streets.

Shame on the both of you.

  • Let your heart do the walking sounds live even better. These girls swing.

  • I absolutely love the audio. So much joy in their voices. Thank you for sharing.

  • Everything about them was sooooooooo damn manic..

  • what a mess!

  • Sorry suchan328 but this video does not do justice to the Supremes or to your viewers. It's a nightmare. I couldn't finish it.

  • ugh, this song was always bad, but this version is terrible. There was always way too much going on in this song: Scherrie's scatting, Susaye's screaming, etc.. Just too much!

  • The MUSIC SYNTHESIZER was invented to enhance, camouflage and create the illusion of a vocal range for Pop manufacture performers as the likes of Tiny Tim, The Archies, Disco Duck & yes Diana Ross! Please do your research on Music Synthesizers before calling her a vocalist! She is a showman, without special effects, hair & makeup, costume changes, background vocal, dancers, orchestras combine with play backs and yes Diana's best friend THE MUSIC SYNTHESIZER, the voice maker she would be nothing!

  • TWTR4EVER, I would believe in what you say as her being a show woman if I hadn't heard live concert footage of Diana. That's her real voice. I dont believe they had synthesizers in 1963. Back then Mary could actually sing too, but Mary's voice didn't improve for awhile over the years like Diana's did.. If you have

proof of what you say, then start "delivering"

Another case in point, her performance at Las Vegas, Nevada, USA's, Caesar's Palace ,1979

  • No, in 1963 the synthesizer was Mary, Florence, The Andantes, horns, strings, hand claps and any trick in the book to boost her week voice and camouflage the notes she couldn't reach! If you market it right you get the people to buy Bologna (cheap meat)

  • Her voice wasn't weak. It just sounded weak to you cause you think someone has to cough up a lung like Patti Labelle in order to qualify as singing. And most bands that want to sound half way decent use all the accompaniment you accuse Diana of using

And I by the way, I don't buy or eat bologna, and I eat at 4 star restaurants three times a week.

  • BlogShag>>>The semi-falsetto voice Diana Ross once had is gone, there're vestiges of it, as I said before her showmanship is superb and to her devoted fans it compensates but in all honesty to any music critic she's had her day!

  • I am well aware she is not a force to be reckoned with today, however, to diss her for her monumental achievements in the past and the respect she rightfully deserves isn't right.

  • I'm not taking any credits away, what Diana together with Mary, Florence & Cindy achieved is history! I do have problems with the stepping and trampling she did in order to create the Diana Ross Superstar Mirage, she played dirty, she betrayed friends a colleges, even the man that facilitate her way(Berry Gordy) by vanishing The Supremes with poor marketing (no more payola) she left Motown for RCA and she screwed him business wise, besides, we know she had been screwing him physically for years!

  • Then complain about the most famous trampler too - Madonna. and Diana Ross didn't exploit anyone, it was the other away around - Berry exploited her. I would have left Motown for RCA in 1970. Diana didn't betray nobody.

  • BlogShag>>>Madona & Diana are the perfect comparison, you've hit it right on the nail! Diana couldn't leave Berry Gordy/Motown in 1970, she had just gone solo, she would had suffered the same destiny as Jean Terrell when she left for A&M Records, her album "I had to fall in love" was a commercial fiasco and she was dropped from the label! If you know what "PAYOLA" is and was you'll know the power of a record label! Florence Ballard found out, BARRY GORDY PAID TO HAVE HER DEBUT ALBUM VANISHED!

  • @TWTR4EVER You're ridiculous. Why not talk about how Berry exploited them all and paid his number one group a mere pittance while he was raking in millions. Reminds me of another shmuck who is now in jail for the rest of his life (Phil Spector)

Diana didn't trample on anyone. She just seized opportunity

  • @BlogShag Diana gives the word "self serving street walker" new dimensions! Diana seized opportunity alright, she learned how to walk over those who help her achieved stardom!

  • @BlogShag Berry and Diana are to HUSTLERS cut with the same knife! They deserve each other! Diana trample and seized how to screw anyone that could be a steeping stone on her self serving climb to the hell she's achieved, her summer tour promise to be new fiasco, TICKET SALES ARE SCARSE AND CANCELLATIONS SOON BE COMING!

  • BlogShag>>>All of Diana's Live performances since The Supremes at The Copa have been doctored and remastered in the Motown Studios before release! AND THAT'S A FACT!

  • twtr4ever, Listen here you stupid jealous c-nt. I heard Diana sing live in concert, not just on her records, and back then she sounded better than she did on her records. So you don't know what you are talking about.

  • BlogShag>>>I don't dispute that she sounded good, I saw her live in1970 at The Frontier Hotel/Vegas with Mary&Cindy one of the last performances together, and in Radio City Music Hall NYC in the early 1980's and here in Miami In the Hyatt Convention Center in the 1990's (this was not good) but again, the job of the sound man in a tour is to make the artist sound good, and she uses playbacks, synthesizers, filters and very trick in the book!

  • Jeeez, who stepped on the cat! They sound atrocious!!! No wonder they never had any hits.. I feel sorry for the people that payed to see their concerts

  • The cats name is Diana Ross and that cat was step on in 1970 when she went her mediocre way! Fell sorry for me a couple of years back here in SOBE/FL were I pay good money to walk out of a Diana Ross revival fiasco, poorly stage, badly promoted and she sounded like you just said a real screaming cat, that 's what they're going for in that number, A TRIBUTE TO DIANA THE SQUIL BEDROOM CAT! BERRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh puhleeez twtr4ever. Dream on you delusional RETARD. Diana Ross sold millions of records before video, skimpy outfits, booty hangin' out, and booty slappin' was the norm.

How many records did these three atrocious sounding ladies sell? Do they have 18 No. 1 hits and numerous top 40 hits under their belt? I don't think so. Yep Diana Ross sounded like a cat too, the only difference is her cat screech sounded fantastic. I pity the few who didn't enjoy it. Their loss indeed.

  • Diana Ross was the skimpy outfits, booty & tits hanging, not booty slapping (she had none) of the times! Her records sales, ask any Motown reputable, talented act of the time, Martha Reeves, Gladys Knight, still alive, dead (Mary Wells, Brenda Holloway, Kim Weston, Tammy Terrell, Florence Ballard) real talents that because the money for marketing, and PAYOLA for DJ's and Radio Stations, (the norm at the time and in many cases today) Motown/Berry Gordys budget was to create the DIANA ROSS MIRAGE

  • This was atrocious. Absolutely bad.

  • They should have let this do the walking !

  • Jeeez , who stepped on the cat? That intro is terrible. After Diana left the group, it turned into ghetto disco Muzak trash. What a disaster. I mean puhleeez. These girls weren't even a match for The 3 Degrees - they were far superior

  • LoveTheSupremes, I certainly second that emotion...

  • The group-as many critics have written, was at its creative peak when it was Mary, Cindy and Jean. Even Berry said Mary was the heart and soul of the Supremes.

  • evil heart and soul-backsabber.

We KNOW she was NOT the voice.

Berry was surprised mary had learned to even carry a tune when she grabbed the mike from a drunk Diana @ the Motown 25Show.

  • Did anyone think that Diana watched this on tv just saying.

  • Diana was far to busy to have ever been concerned with these performances of the no talent catch screech off key women that carried on the legacy

  • right and you have no proof. She did her best to keep the group going and for you dumbasses to comment is disrespctful.

  • Mary needs to get a reality check. She thinks she's all that when her voice has always been bland and under pitch with very little range. If it wasn't for Diana, Mary wouldn't have been sh*t. She's made a career of singing the 60's hits the original Supremes created made famous for 40+ years on the DISCOUNT stage platforms

  • Has Jean Terrell ever spoken about her days with the Supremes? Or any other former Supreme?

  • flo's book is out

  • Vocally this incarnation of The Supremes was the greatest.

  • Agreed. But sometimes Susaye screeches. I think I actually like the sound of Cindy's voice better, but Susaye had a much greater range and is a better singer.

  • Diana ross should give mary wilson a lot of credit because she has been the one who have kept the suprems name alive plus mary wilson has allways gave love to florence ballard diana ross is more into hereself.

  • That's strange... since Ross setup the trust fund for her children whilst Mary said in interview that '.. as often occurs in life, its often too late when you realise, so no, I was very busy (life, Supremes in the 70's etc) when I perhaps could have helped and now its too late.

Mary doesn't seem to have had a lot of contact with Flo once she'd left and the 70's then started putting pressure on her to maintain that career... very understandably!

  • Do you thihk people become as big of a star as Diana Ross and Madonna have by worry about other people? Get real. They have egos bigger than the universe.

  • Oh they think about sometimes when it is to late or when they really sit down and take time to look over there life that does no mean they will tell antbody but they think about it-We all do every now and then.

  • Diana would have given her credit if her stuck up ass (Mary) would have agreed to do the reunion tour

  • BolgShag>>> Diana, while organizing "THE TOUR THAT NEVER WAS" was in no position at the time to try to pull the same old "dog & pony show" she had peddle in decades past! She encounter a more well legally advised Mary Wilson & Cindy Birdsong and her usual "sweet bullshit " was not selling! It took a while but the powers to be cut her balls!

  • twtr4ever, I still think it would have been better if they agreed to do the tour. Why? It would have been good exposure for Mary Wilson and Cindy Birdsong. It obviously wasn't about money cause Mary was offered 4million. That's a lot of money to most people. What it was about for Mary was simply pride and conceit. Like she deserves to be conceited. Although i give her credit for singing with the Diana Supremes, Mary can't sing well at all. Diana's voice improved for awhile, Mary's didn't..

  • BlogShag>>>Mary has wanted this tour to happen for years, since the Motown reunion when at the end of the show Diana had her and Cindy come out just to be displaced like she had done to them through the whole decade of the 1960's! Cindy told Mary, take care of the legal fair settlement and I'm inn, Mary did, Diana again try to sell the three legged pony Berry Gordy sold them for years when she abandon Motown for RCA! Mary has voice, Diana the small shadow of what she once had, a Chipmunk sound!

  • It's Diana's chipmunk sound that made her wealthy and world wide superstar, so eat that you TWT. in 1976 Diana was never booed off any stage. Yeah, so much for Mary's "talent"

  • BlogShag>>>Chipmunks, Diana & Topo Gigio! That's a line up!

  • Jesus this is DIRE !

  • They are all drop dead gorgeous but sorry...Diana kept the group interesting. Without her, even the looks and beautiful gowns cannot save them. Nothing distinctive whatsoever. Diana made that group and I am convinced that the supremes would not have been the success they were without her. All contributed to the group but she lit the flame.

  • Diana was the "flame" of the group! She had an undeniable "magnetism" that set her apart from the others....

  • Diana had unmatched charisma, beauty, poise and vocal versatility. Because of her, the music could reach white audiences, black, young, old, latino, whatever. That's not an easy feat. You either have it or you don't.

When I see old clips of the Supremes on stage I'm still stunned by her stage presence. She stood out. Compare Diana's eyes and expression to the other two girls. The other two girls eye's are dead and drunk looking half the time.

  • Vocal versatility? Now, you better stay of the sauce! Diana had no voice nor range, as I already explain to those who are knowledgeable of the music industry, no amount of hair and makeup, gowns, special effects, orchestras, background singers can make a full range vocalist out of her! Great manufactured showman, not a singer!

  • In this video they sound repulsive, get over it, cause you know it's true. I don't see Lynda and Scherie or Mary successfully charting with blues standards as well as pop and light country. Diana covered all that convincingly. All the post Diana Supremes did after Jean left is disco muzak trash.

  • BLIZZARDX3>>>Repulsive is Diana singing live on The Today Show promoting "The Tour That Never Was" look it up! R&B Billboard #1 hit The Supremes/ Stone Love And regarding DISCO MUZAK TRASH Diana was the queen(Love Hangover, The Boss,I'm Coming out, Swept Away),she even try to reclaim Gloria Gaynor's "I will survive", to no success may I add and even there Donna Summers send her packing!

  • You don't know what you are talking about. Her cover of Gloria Gaynor's hit charted in Europe. All songs you mentioned of Diana as disco muzak trash were megahits. So get over yourself "honey", cause no one is fooled by your jealous rants.

  • BlogShag and we're expected to believe you know what you're talking about, that's joke! DIANA MUZAK TRASH is the closest to the truth you've gotten so far! To be jealous there's got to be some implication of something desired that one can't obtain, there's no redeeming quality on her to desire!

  • Anyone with half a brain or common sense would realize that these Post Diana Supremes represented here sound atrocious. Oh I get it, you're deaf, that's why you don't realize it. Proof of the point I'm trying to make is when Flo left, and Mary and Cindy's voices weren't used on the later Diana Supremes recordings

  • It's a bad recording of a mediocre venue, but trust me, those three lady's on stage they all had more range and harmony on their voices than Diana ever had! I seen them both live in different venues, last time Diana was in SOBE/MIAMI/FL it was a fiasco, if you think this is bad, people walk out of Diana's concert in Miami!

  • I don't care how much range they had, they still sounded like shit, always have. Just because someone can "sing" it doesnt mean their voice is going to sound pleasant.

  • You want to hear something that sounds like SHIT! Go to YOU TUBE Diana Ross & The Supremes at The Today Show! She can't even sing her own hits from the sixties anymore, now that's sad, really sad! WITHOUT A SYNTHESIZER DIANA sounds like a chipmunk!

  • No one what but a twit like yourself would make that unfair comparison. This video clips of the Post Diana Supremes shows Mary, Scherie and Susaye in their 30's when Diana Ross sounded far better than them at that age. With Diana's hit Love Hangover still blazing the charts at the time, and sold out venues around the world, what hits did these ladies have at the time and who wanted to see and hear them? I rest my case

  • I'm hardly a twit but coming from a twat insults are to be expected. By the way, you got no case! You're right about the comparison in venues at the time, but what Diana was blazing was Berry Gordy's bed, taking all the budget for publicity & marketing from Motown and that's why not only The Supremes but many top acts ended in venue like this . That's the score that history is settling now, is written, is past but is the foundation of what remains! Diane & Barry would sell you a 3 legged pony!

  • The Post Diana Supremes weren't even any match for The Three Degrees. THEY SOUNDED GOOD, ALWAYS DID. These ladies in this video sound awful.

Go check out Diana's LIVE performance of "Touch Me in the Morning" 1979 Caesar's Palace Las Vegas, then come back here and try to say something negative about Diana. You're nuts!. You can't compare Diana's talent to that Post Diana Supremes no-talent trash..

  • BogShag>>>Trash if is package right in our society is marketable and Berry knew how! The Diana sound? What did W.C.Fields use to say? "There's a sucker born every minute!" Guest what? You have! For decades! Without special effects, hair extensions & makeup, costumes and props, dancers, background vocalist (Mary, Florence, The Andantes) tape play backs and her all time saver THE SYNTHESIZER she is The Wizard of OZ! You been had!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What special effects? Diana had a beautiful voice back then, get over it. And costumes and makeup, dancers... What's wrong with that? Most people like panache, not plane jane. I should introduce you to my ex-beau, you two would get along great

  • BlogShag>>> SUPERFICIAL EFFECTS TO compensate for her short comings! A WEAK VOICE! keep it real baby! Cars have panache! People have qualities!

  • TWTR4EVER, why do you think a voice has to sound like a tuba to be a good voice? This simply isn't true. Diana had a flute/piccolo/clarinet type voice, whereas someone like Patti Labelle had a trumpet or tuba type voice

  • BlofgShag>>>Are you hitting the sauce? A flute, a piccolo or clarinet? How about Topo Gigio or DIsco Duck! Google them, you'll have a laugh!

  • @TWTR4EVER Blazing Berry's bed also helped Mary and Cindy, you dolt. Say whatever you want, but having Diana as the lead singer of The Supremes changed the trajectory of the group in a good way

  • @TWTR4EVER She didn't need range, she had verve, agility, nuance, great interpretation and expression.

  • @BlogShag Apparently it's that time of the year again on which you either can't afford the co-payment of your Bi-polar medication, or have chosen not to take it! You're already having a "Ross mania" attack, take the pill!

  • @LANORDA9 Diana is the flame alright, the one that burns right in hell!

  • I agreed this is a good live version of this song. No matter the different changes the Supremes went through they were always at their best. Good Entertainer not like today's

    singers or act.

  • The supremes gave it to you no matter what the line-up!

  • i like this version better than the record by FAR. Something about this is more enjoyable than the recorded version for some reason.
