@devonmale69 If you knew of his life, you'd know what a wonderful, kind man Elvis was. He had some faults. Do you not? Is he not allowed any? Give it a rest. He is with his Lord. He always loved the Lord. I wish people would leave this good man alone. All you have to do is attend the candlelight vigil in August to see how this man still touches people 34 years after he's gone. God Bless him.

@devonmale69 You know nothing of Elvis and it shows in your reply. My father taught me never to argue with ignorance. Elvis never drank in his life. He took too many prescription pills to sleep and to wake up. He was ill, with many things wrong that made him bloated and sluggish in the last few years of his life. He should have been in a hospital, not a stage. We could all only hope to model our lives and generosity after Elvis. He was too good.

Such sincerity, seems alot more than other big stars sung gospel and gave religious platitudes at the Grammys. Can someone tell me the last time a new Christian band, or singer sounded credible? Has there been one in the last 30 years?

At about age two years Elvis told people at church that he would one day SING FOR JESUS and that is exactly what he did. Grammy awards only for THREE gospel albums, which he recorded with much opposition from naysayers who told him people would turn away from him. Grammys proved buyers of Elvis' records realized he sang with LOVE IN HIS EYES. Ignore the negative yack about Elvis.

God will never abandon those who believe in HIM and JESUS.
It would also help to be a Good person to others and never be ashamed of your love for JESUS AND GOD.

It never fails to amaze me ,---- and annoy me , how the radio media [[ U.K ]] never did , and never would ,play Elvis Presley gospel music ! Sad to say that these gospel songs are , basically , unheard of outside of the fan base !

Satan can impersonate emotions, but he can not impersonate the Life. It is not only to say you believe(the bible says Satan believes AND trembles), but making sure you have the Seal or Token, The Holy Spirit. The way to know is by searching your life and seeing your desires and believing ALL his Word.

Then as he got older presription drugs took over like alcohol did me, and he lost in the end at 42! Sad! Was he saved?, only the Lord knows that! But there's room at the cross for you!! :)

Johnny Cash, Mickey Gilley, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Elvis...all these guys (if not for Rock and roll/Blues music) all probably would have been accomplished gospel singers no doubt ..Jimmy Swaggart (Jerry Lee's cousin) on the other hand was a pretty good gospel singer(and preacher) in his day could probably been a decent early rock and roll guy

I love Mr.Presley's gospel music. i truly believe he had a calling on his life to be in the ministry. yes..he was a great singer and could really sing pretty much anthing he wanted to and it would sound great...but his gospel has such emotion and spirit to it. God rest his soul.

I have listened to many, many singers over my life time. Frank Sinatra, Mario Lanza, Hank Snow, Enrico Caruso, etc. etc. None has brought me to the internal spiritual self I feel, that is in all of us, as when I hear Elvis on his gospel songs. He just seems to instill the expression of the Lord in the words coming from his heart.
