  • My dad, Tommy Brady, was Joe's drummer for years. I can remember how much fun it was to watch them when I was a kid. What music that band could make! Our thoughts and prayers go out to Helen and the entire Madden Family. Joe was certainly one of a kind, and will be deeply missed.

  • RIP Joe.

  • a bunch of us from maryland had some tunes with joe in april. he was a great musician and, more importantly, a good friend. it took his wife hours to pull him away from the session that night. RIP

  • r.i.p. joe died November 14, 2008

  • You three are nearly all of what's left of the old guard from back in the old days. Joe, you haven't changed a bit since we met back in 1973 at the Trocadero Ballroom in the Bronx at a Clare wedding (I'd just switched over to the B/C). Retirement suits you as it seems to with Felix (more time for music). I enjoyed the clip very much. Keep it going and God bless. Johnny Howard - New Haven
