  • @240sxRule What the fuck is a KA26DET? Do you mean RB26? And the "T" you keep tacking on the end of those KA engine codes doesn't go there. Those engines were never factory turbocharged.

  • 383's can run low 6's, Lightweight engine with tons of power. It all depends on the power to weight ratio and gearing ratio. so many people say "There's no replacement for displacement." It's bullshit. Funny how a 1.6L Honda can beat a Chevy 454 SS pickup truck eh? Even with a Blower on the SS the honda with an intake can still run a faster 1/4

  • Major Kudos Import DPS Crew! My question is for Import DPS only: Does that record breaking machine have an automatic transmission? and if it does,does is it have the stock KA trans with upgrades? Thanks for showing the SR Lovers that Iron Blocks Rocks and you can keep the motor that the 240sx have in it stock and break reacords!!!

  • i believe everyone doesnt know the true potential of a KA and just decide to go with an SR or RB swap. The KA has a massive potential that has now been shown!

    personally, i have a built KA26de stroker motor thats gonna be bad ass when im done with it!

  • shhh don't tell the sr swappers that the KA is better, while they have a throw-the-rocker head we use a cam on lifter head design which is much more stable and while their left behind with a dropped valve we'll blow right by them.

    KA's for life.

  • @xild0015 yeah the rb's are nasty but i dont really see the point of swapping an sr. take the same turbo off an sr on a ka and you have more power, torque and reliability.

  • @xStealthxSniperx i agree with you about the torque and power but definatly not reliability. im talking about experience. i have other two friends that deal with their ka's aswell. when i had my ka, it gave me so many problems. ever since i had my sr; 8 months and no problems yet and i push my engine almost every week which i never did on my ka. Mb, engines just need some abuse ;D.

  • @guccamain lol, but you get shitty stock sr turbo setup that is not worth a fuck. In order to make a SR worth a damn you need mani, bigger turbo, front mount, injectors, and tune. THE SAME SHIT you need to make a KA-t. Not to mention replacing the worn out BS on a stock sr. You don't HAVE to build the KA. Pistons/rings if you're that scared or have bad compression to begin with. That is all that is really needed. Which is not 2-3 grand. It boils down to people not knowing wtf there doing..get sr

  • @keyrabuns69 to be honest to make 250whp u can spend 2-3 grand and build a ka-t but if you do it right and complete build yeah your looking at 5-6 grand easy as of where places sell sr20's for 2XXX.xx under 50,000 miles with everything from engine turbo tranny wire harness ecu and everything but to upgrade you will need what you said... so we are agreeing on this sr=easy way out but your ka has that .4 liters right off the bat with an iron block so your looking at a more reliable base

    for reference: the fastest domestic trap time is 6:67, with Mustang that had a twin turbo 560 CI engine (that's like 9.0 liters)

    to think, a 240sx was only a second slower with an engine that's a little more than 1/4 the size.

  • @Spectraeon what i've figued out after this last year at UTI is domestic guys dont hate imports because of the sound and small engines, they actually fear imports because with 1/2 to 1/4 the size they can do this :D

  • @Spectraeon I'm sorry, but a FULL SECOND at these speeds is an absolutely enormous margin. At least 500hp difference. In addition, PAC performance, among others, has gone considerably faster than this in a 20b rotary.

  • @Spectraeon just sayin... that extra second at this level is a HUGE difference. You would probably need a extra 1000 horsepower to get that second... don't get me wrong this is an AMAZING car... but you're comparing apples to oranges here
