They introduced it at ConExpo in 1963 and didn't begin production till 1970 when they ran they would push like a sonofabitch, but had alot of final drive problems

my old man helped to build that dozer. it was built in springfield illinois. it must have been built before fiat bought controlling interest and became fiat allis.

Douro,The engine is a Cummins VT1710 at 1,710 cubic inches.This AC HD41 is 524hp.Its also the first bulldozer to break the 500hp mark when introduced in 1969.The same model is in the Michigan 475 wheel loader

i have 2 HD 16's one with a hydraulic dozer and cable winches at the back for the braking disk and the other is just a bare bones caterpillar i built a cab for it and put a turbocharger on it will pull like hell sucked a fully loaded super B semi fully loaded with fertilizer out of a 5 foot snowbank in 2nd gear and it barely even grunted i can pull 60 ft of deep tillage cultivator thorugh stubble in 2nd gear man these old monsters are awsome
