The problem with the idea that we aren't causing global warming is that people think that means we can keep on polluting and doing whatever we want. Either way, pollution and deforestation needs to be dialed down.

It also wouldn't hurt to look at statistics not created by oil/coal etc. company scientists instead of selectively choosing what to believe based on what you want to be true. Shit happens when you stop being an ignorant asshole.

I agree that we need to protect the environment, but global warming (a.k.a "Climate Change") is not an environmental issue. It is a political issue to tax and control all of us.
btw USA could be role model how to take care of environment among all industrialized nations. for example:
-Unleaded gasoline introduced 10 years earlier than in Europe (1975 vs 1985)
-Tap water is generally drinkable.

Yes, in any case, we need to advance our technology and change some things. If not to "save" the earth and make ourselves healthier, then to keep up in the world where people are trying to move on from fossil fuels to cheaper and cleaner sources.
