  • sounds like a counter-strike headshot without the helmet

  • can´t you do a camhack in SH4?

  • it's INVISIBLE says so on the wiki but thanks for this vid its cool

  • these games are awesome.

  • On the SH wiki, it says that there are two of these things and that one can be heard whispering "Ritual" and the other can be heard whispering "Are you sure?" which sounds like "Ritual" when played backwards...i dont know if its true or not because i dont wait around long enough before i kill them because i hate listening to the static...thanks for posting this it was cool

  • When I played this part, I was like WTF what the hell is that :'D

  • All I want to know is; what would happen if Mr. James gets in the same cell as the prisoner monster D:?

  • @Magnaillusion They will party like there is no tomorrow.

  • @Magnaillusion rip James to shreds.

  • i saw part of the movie when it came to pyramid head i ran out of the room :P

  • How do you cmahack?

  • Yes, the games were a lot better and yes, it was disappointing the movies storyline and symbolism was complete crap compared to the games but when you compare the movie to most of the shitty teen angst sexual gore jump thrill movies we have in America I'd say it was good. I fucking hate our horror films... 75% of them are mindless bullshit.

  • You can see a sillouette of the actual human if you look carefully.

  • ITS A FUCKING COCKROACH?LOL.

  • OMG is a creeper that sounds like a human

  • the first time i came into this area, all i do is walk slowly & look at the back

  • actually a ghost silent hill 4 sneak peak

  • Darn! I missed that monster today! I knew there was SOMETHING in there! I just knew it! But because i'm such a chicken i just ran off because i didn't see anything and assumed that there was nothing there. You've really got to keep your eyes and ears alert when you play Silent Hill or you miss things like that!

  • Nuts! I just killed him and I was hoping he'd have a physical body somewhere. Shucks. :(

Oh well, just up to my interpretation.

  • He DOES say "Ritual". In the complete SH2 soundtrack, the sound effect is listed as such.

  • I always wondered about that..

    :/

  • The invisible man is just one of the human roaches from the film...

  • The Film...?

  • From the making of in my playlist...

"Each monster was originally human, even the roaches/bugs"

You don't beleive the movie is anywhere near accurate with the monster do you? None of them symbolize anything...NONE OF THEM!! There is no intelligence to the film at all.

  • I know this.

I cant stand that peice of crap movie.

I dont even know why I typed "The film...?"

Apparently I forgot what the conversation was, that I would type that.

  • Oh.

  • @silenceofthehills

I wouldn't be so sure... the grey children which attack rose as she enter silent hill's otherworld represent Alessa as she was burned by the order, "the armless man" ( a.k.a the lying figure), that attack both rose and cybil probably repressents Alessa's hospitalization, the janitor monster in the otherworld...well thats what he gets for raping Alessa. Pyramind head is there to punish The Order. about the nurses...maybe they are also connected with Alessa's hospitalization..

  • @jorgesora

More want from a fan, and its all probablies Gans would go ahead and agree with to make sure his film was correct with the interpretations thing and so we can all believe any of that was actual technical revision rather grosser WANTED change that amounts to nothing in the end.

MK vs Doom for instance and the fact that Avery DID carry SH is what made it the 40M in america with all the poor reviews 2M in japan vs 20M for the crap RE films there.

  • I don't buy anything aside that they are NERD busters as no matter how accurate it is, a game movie such as RE:A was considered more like the game for its horridness yet money gross proves that these innaccuracies to character and story is not doing much a difference.

  • @silenceofthehills

    yes there is.

  • @Shurekien

There is what? This is an old large comment so you should specify, unless it was ment to reply for another comment.

  • @silenceofthehills I have to disagree. If none of the monsters symbolize anything then why are there 2 Pyramid heads at the end of the game? Why is it that one of the monsters seems to be encased in a mattress?

  • @JackmacProductions

    Wan't talking about the games.

  • @silenceofthehills Lol my apologies, apparently I become unable to read text after 11pm XD

  • @silenceofthehills well what about colin the janitor the creepers only represent the bug species of bugs that were found in alessa's room they probably represent filth in the movie. though the lying figure doesnt make sense I agree with you on that.but grey children =alessa. pyramid head is still the punisher so meh.

  • @IcyDeath7

Well no, this comes from an interview. He said specifically to the audience there, who'd ever watch it, the wrong thing. Even if he knows alot about SH and woo's fans, its not present in the film because he thought it would recreate Jacob's Ladder, which is false.

This is not exclusive nor based upon JL, but is apart of the phychological genre in general. Any horror film could scare you with imagery, but I mean the abiguity and mystery. This film lost that and is too obvious.

  • @silenceofthehills I likedthe film though

  • @IcyDeath7

Well, if the film was more so correct, you probably would like it better. The changes reflected nothing towards actual quality, all of this would be possible to be imprinted into any VG story and fold out the same way.

After that, the story is blatently ripping the ring elements (which made me angry) and not only is it pethetic, it helps remove the character of the genre and game. I know what i'm talking about when it comes to technical adaption, eveyone else jokes of menus.

  • @silenceofthehills well it wasnt relly ripping of the ring i saw the ring not that good to me and they said in the movie that they used elements from the game

  • @IcyDeath7

You missed the fact that Alessa acts with vengence with a "dark side" and there are these drawings that have scenes streight from the ring. where it goes from teh image to the drawing again. The remaining plot is too aken to the ring, while SH's is more about Alessa as a strange mindless figure.

The movie uses elements in the game in the wrong fashion, more a bletent cameo, very cheap. Also It's like BatMan98 versus BB05, similar elements, but too different from each other.

  • @IcyDeath7

I know this notebook is in the game too, but it played less a role and was only light guidence and of a different character. Here, its too blatently the ring in character.

  • @IcyDeath7

I mean, this is drawing the line when they do not technically adapt and use it more as a base, training wheels with no original talent, to make their own film. I mean sure you like it, but alot of the layout still comes from the game, yet none of this was a technical need, so they have nothing.

I'm not a fantard either, the "goodness" of the film being lay'd out as cameos or little references spells more immaturity towards the fanbase.

  • @IcyDeath7

Also, none of this is technically so, what you say. Nothing says its so until Gans wants his film to be correct. No matter how many times Gans talks about this stuff, because he lost the character of the genre, it stands as "All originally human" and the people trapped in a Samera style vengence.

What Vincent talked about in SH3 only relates to the 2 that were people, The Missionary and Leonard. However, the rest are of nothing and physical materializations in this otherworld.

  • @silenceofthehills well i still dont get that bugs are people I'll look on wikia

  • @IcyDeath7

Oh god, this is were this problem comes from anyhow, don't trust it, it comes from SH fantards who even begin to think this thing isn't any more then fandom cameos for their delight. Its based upon certain interviews, but they never followed the police trail.

An interview on the internet and one made for tv confirms this, as well as being too much like the ring. The reality is that they are people punished by alessa in this more traditionalized horror genre plot.

  • @silenceofthehills Obviously, then, you've never actually seen the movie. Otherwise you'd understand how ridiculous that statement is.

In truth, there is much more thought put into the movie than there was in the first game. The game treated the whole thing like science fiction, the film put the events into the context of the psychlogy behind the characters, like all the good SH games do, and interpreted the events in a way that actually makes sense, rather than just being "psychic powers."

  • @egdeltur666

I've seen it, have the dvd. There was much less thought in the movie, the game makers had to put alot togother and had to do thinks without duplicating movies as other VG usually do. Smart and its own thing.

  • @egdeltur666

Let me correct you. The game focussed on physcology behind the characters and the film only focused on argh where in purgatory, run a hell demon...

Also, what are you talking about, Alessa looks to have "psychic powers" here in the movie too. Why is it different that it STEALS FROM THE RING IN CHARACTER AND SPIRIT NOW.

  • @egdeltur666 Obviously you havent played the first silent hill.. the movie had no depth at all.. contrary to ALL silent hill games.. next time when everyone says white and you still think its black take a second look and thought about it... usually the majority is correct (except for elections or shitty music tastes) :P

  • @egdeltur666 The game will always be better the fucking shit movie! You never played any of the Silent Hill games! The movie was shit! They ruined Silent Hill with that! I saw the fucking movie! It was horrible! You are not a true horror guy if you say that the movie is better! Play the game and see how wrong you are!

  • @TheButcher123100 The movie was not that bad and didn't ruin anything. The Silent Hill series is still flawless and successful.

    calm your tits dude

  • @TheButcher123100 O.O this is a response to something I said? Holy crap this fanbase is touchy.

I suppose when you only make one wrong move (SHV) after however many games, a bunch of comics and a movie, they get a "little" spoiled. It's like the alien fans when AVPR came out, one less-than-perfect movie and everyone shits their pants.

But you guys... you get a perfect movie and it's STILL not good enough?

Judging by the response, I think I called this guy a nazi or something... =/ sry dood

  • @silenceofthehills Try watching the movie again, only this time take off the pointlessly bitchy fanboy goggles. I'm sure you'll find that the movie isn't any less thought out than any of the games.

Honestly, I wouldn't have the patience to watch a whole movie with shit colored glasses on. I could maybe only go a half hour before I got sick of hating everything for no real reason.

  • @egdeltur666

Your the fanboy, by even thinking the movie is correct in character or genre. Gans does not know psychological horror and is why he called Jacob's Ladder rip off upon it. The focus of one, was to have the character not know what's going on, but rather add to this element from a sum of the game's plot, the movie skips this and leads to a long borring fest of people running all over and making a boring film with no power, poor execution, as the critics raped it for.

  • @silenceofthehills I thought the movie was good in it's own right. At least the director didn't ruin the storyline of the first one since he made it a little different by changing some of the characters.

  • @GmodCaboose56

What does that even mean? You're probably another elitist who believes there is a difference between comic ideas from video game ones, just because you look at the letter of gameplay and simple format differences (e.g. it being interactive).

You could also be one of those fanboys/girls that protect the original so much, that you don't accept any tech upgrades, remasterings and adaptations of it. That's all you're comment sounds like to me.

  • @silenceofthehills I'm not a fanboy nor an elitist, what are you talking about? I'm just saying that I thought it was good. And what I meant by the director not ruining the storyline was by not having the movie follow the plot of the first game(Like how Uwe Boll ruined the storyline of Alone in the Dark TNN). Besides, I hate fanboys and elitists. If you didn't like the movie, I understand and that's your opinion, but you didn't have to resort to calling me a fanboy or a elitist, geez.

  • @GmodCaboose56

To be frank, I never specifically called you anything. If you were implying that he'd ruin it from the beginning so changing it means a proper telling of it isn't ruined later, then yes I can agree with you. However, if not, my comments are technically accurate.

Besides, he did, probably more than Uwe did. These parts, which were the majority of the first half is what made people like it, but after, the new crap got stale to them. That's what I read in vast non-fan reviews.

  • @silenceofthehills "To be frank, I never specifically called you anything" So, you saying "You're probably another elitist" and "You could also be one of those fanboys/girls that protect the original so much" isn't calling me anything?

But I'm not going to be getting into this argument, let's drop it, okay?

  • Its never been tried before to the level I speak of, aside MK95, but with what I said on the treatment and sript, it didn't exaust all options of adapting it with mythos intact. It worked, even if it could be presented better.

I get a translation, as its like a novelization that revamps narrative presentation, but anything new could just be a game with the same narrative information, regardless of format differences, and deserves a home video release for being only for fans who know already.

  • @GmodCaboose56

The source will always be superficial in a way, as a technical adapting of something still allows you to make a condensed representation of it, down to both a story summery treatment and the idea or intent, removing the saturated fat such as execution and presentation flaws. With how primitively written a summery is, one may execute or present such events anyway wanted and flesh out the rest with material that fits the storyline and its intent.

  • @GmodCaboose56

This is not as they did for Dragon Ball or Silent Hill. A technical adaptation is not to simply invent or alter once the letter, or what is 1 to 1, doesn‘t deserve full adapting. The letter isn‘t simply the content.

A game's summery is only able to become its film treatment. There are too many possibilities in adapting that treatment into a script and too many ways for a talented movie maker to interpret that script as epically or entertainingly as possible on screen.

  • @silenceofthehills HERPDERP LETS REPLACE HARRY WITH SOME RANDOM CHICK AND PUT PYRAMID HEAD IN BECAUSE HE'S FAMOUS.

  • i love that sound he made. 'un chu'

  • it's actually 'ritual' or 'are you sure' rewinded.

  • reeeally? OO hm!

  • are you sure??

  • uh.,...yeah..

  • erus ouy era?

  • i played this wen i was about 13/14 and i wanted to know what it looked like...i was more curious than scared lol...i was like that with the pyramid head too like i was thinking "what's under there"

  • its actually a normal face the pyramid is a very painful and heavy torture device

  • if it's a painful and heavy torture device wouldnt it alter his face? i mean like for example the torture device called the rack must have done the victims' bones in

  • maybe some puncture wounds?

  • i never tried this game but i saw some people were saying that the invisible prisoner was attacking james... but hes stuck in his cell then how can he actually attack people?

plus the invisible prisoner is scaring me like hell

  • I remember this scene, I was too scared to move forward and all I could hear was this deep dark voise saying thing. I got the nerve to move forward then took aim at some thing in the cell, then killed it. and i was thinking WTF did I just kill lol

  • HOLY CRAP...ME TOO.....

  • lol. i love killing that guy. he sounds hilarious when you shoot him when hes on the ground.

  • haha thats it?

there's me expecting an enemy equal to the size of pyramid head but no..its a beetle!

good camhacks as well..thanks for sharing

  • If you go to the site silent hill apocalypse, a woman discovered the prisoner: do you want to know him now?

  • I always wanted to know what would happen if the monster attacked you.

  • the invisible scares the hell out of me, I always run across the hall really fast so I won't hear it's voice. I'm gonna try to kill him now.

  • dude dont be afraid. kill his ass. he sounds funny as hell when you do it. and he can't do anythung to you. but whats so scary about him? i mean he walks around his cell which he cant get out of. then stops every ten steps and says "ritual" in his funny ass voice.

  • i kill him all the time now. his voice used to scare me.

  • The first time I played the game and heard him I was like WTF?!?

I done that too I just ran past him

James looked over but I was like I'm not checking what that is

When you shoot him he falls down or something then he gets up and the process repeats itself until he's dead

I've always wondered what he says though too

  • Ritual...

    I think anyways >.>

  • I remember reading somewhere that when this game was being made, it was planned for James to turn his head when he passed by the "Haunted" cell. To make this happen, A bug was placed behind the camera's view. :P It is funny when you think about it. One of the scary moments in SH2 is indeed caused by a bug.

  • It says "ritual" or it could be saying "are you sure" backwards

  • It was confirmed that he's saying ritual, but I forgot where I read that...

  • okay, i get it, it's a spider, but what about that in sh3. what was that in the wall when she found the crying ghost??!!

  • bugman????????o.0

  • the invisible monster is a fatal error in the game??or the monster is really invisible?

  • its really invisible, i played the game before

  • You killed spider... thing er monster

anyway that thing sure makes alot of noise in the levle but he's stuck in his cell

  • I remember this -- two other friends and I were playing at about three in the morning, my friend had the controller and she kept freaking out because of what the guy sounded like, so we tracked him down. But if you listen really closely, it almost sounds like he's saying "I'm gonna eat you" in a really low creepy voice.

  • that monster made the scariest sound and i find out it was a stupid bug!!

  • me too, the radio begin to sound and James kept watching somewhere, but i thought the monster was on second floor, jeje. However, it seems is not possible to kill him, although, when you put the 3 rocks and you hear a scream, may it be? nah.

  • If you shoot between the cell door's bars enough, he does indeed die.

  • he sounds like a man, i never got why he was invisible.

  • Is this a bug?(creeper)

  • Why is it screaming like a man???

  • Sounds like it's human or something. xD; Though the green blood is proof that it can't be.

  • the blood color was changed in the extra options menu.

  • that invisible monster always scares me.. don't know why :P

  • hehehe invisinvle monster. i always though it was on top on the cell.

  • ???
