Now that was music! Inspired our Christian singing group in the 70's and 80's, as well. Thank you, Roger, and all of the exceptional musicians, that helped to boldly proclaim TRUTH. May we all be faithful to continue in this calling.
Today 70ps big Jim has asked us about 70's Gospel songs. I had the pleasure of meeting Truth back in 1976 in Dent County Salem. I still have the album "Songs That Answer Questions"....Love to hear that on youtube.
@snirspinner wow I was a huge fan of truth in the 70s I played trumpet and dreamed of being in that group did you play trumpet on any of the album? I saw you guys play a few times
Best contemporary Christian group EVER! Seen many of their concerts. Have many albums,cassettes,CD's..always lookin for more at thriftstores, etc...llokin for those hidden treasures. Mat God bless Roger & his family, and all the members of Truth.
...and there musicians - often overlooked - man they were something special too!
I remember this group from the 70s, I actually worked with their organization a time or two.
They were remarkably stiff on stage in those days (they're much more fluid in this performance). Since there weren't a lot of groups like them, and there was a demand for performances, they had a small measure of success.
Truth was and still is an inspiration to me and my journey ln music and my walk with God..

I saw this group many times, once in particular was at Southwest Baptist in 1979-80.
They were at that time the leading group along with the Imperials,
