  • Oh wow another made up name to sound like you know cars cool! No check my videos, 0-100 in -11sec. Never said 1/4 in 10.5, plus gt finishes around 13.5@105 stock. Old 2v gts run a 14 flat. Learn about cars before you talk idiot. Prove me wrong jackass first.

  • @turbo05gt

So your saying you can run the 1/4 mile in 10.5 with 300 hp?

Your full of horse shit along with your mustything.

0-100 is maybe under1/4 mile and high 14's at that.

  • Shoppy16- exactly. V8s make easy power that 4 cylinders need major boost to hit. 400hp+ na or 400hp at 20lbs of boost. Or even 5-6lbs of boost in a v8 for 400hp. Idk why people spend lots of money on a car that struggles past 450-500hp unless it's just for fun but most of them race them?

  • @bratboy90 Not impressive...my dad built a 393 (351 windsor bored and stroked) for $2300. Not bad for 425 hp and 450 tq. Thats the entire motor by the way. Had he gone up to $4k in mods, aftermarket heads and roller cam, the gains would be much higher

  • And as for 4k, I don't think that car would do it "easily". 18lbs of boost isn't really easy. Now my car with any power adder will put down 475rwhp with 10lbs. Your a ricer so get over it. V8fi-4fi almost 99% of the time.

  • That's a dumb statement. I bought a gt with a few extra things on it for 15k. I put about 1500 in it. Over 300rwhp and gets 27-30 highway mpgs. It has a full exhaust, cai, 3.55, and a dyno tune. Does 0-100 in 10.5 sec on the street. If I were to add a turbo or vortech it would beat vettes. So for 20k I can beat a 60-80k vette or a cobalt. It's all in the correct mods and a good driver. Cobalts are crap like all of GM they just fall apart. My friend has one and isn't very happy anymore. Was fast

  • HAHAHHABA MUSCLE?

  • @cubanboy1 Let me drop 4k into a cobalt ss and end up with 400whp easily. When it comes down to it, mustangs are a huge waste of money unless it's like a Roush or something already modded. However your always going to pay more for a stand just due to engine size.

  • @bratboy90 let me drop 4 k into my mustang and see your 4k

  • surprisingly it is pretty easy to beat a ford mustang gt.

  • still the cobalt won xD

  • Man , Cobalts are fast... did not know much but can someone educate me?

I'm looking at new cars and they JUST entered my options?

Are they reliable? I mean being supercharged and all? Any info on them?

    Words of advise?

  • @Roger0416 100,000 miles on it bought it at 70,000 never had to do anything other than light bulbs and oil changes.... did spark plugs just for the hell of it didn't really need it though.

  • @cubanboy1 We'll said. Without force induction, both those 4cylinder granny cars aren't shit. Of course all the highschoolers love the ricer cars, then when they get lag from using to much boost, or when turbine goes bad, There back to 100HP stock.

  • @cubanboy1 Fuck all that if your going to drop 4k in the hood mine as well get a corvette haha

  • Gotta love a Cobalt video entitled "Pure Muscle". X-D

  • cobalt!! its everything u need.

  • Well, they're sure faster than the rust bucket we rode in for the vid lol

  • dang this firebird were in is a beast

  • nah he does.. i have a 99 auto gt you hit it at the right spot it goes same thing my friend has a stage 1 srt4 his beats me by like half a car to a car length just cuz mines stock. your just a shift junkie fool. muscle used to be built off 4 speeds and autos. just cuz its a shit stang and an automatic doesnt mean it isnt fast faggot

  • one of two things either wtf is done to that cobalt or the mustang is stick and the douchbag cannot drive it i have a oo gt stock my buddy has a 06 ss coblat wit stage 1 and i completely murder him on any type of straightaway

  • u fkn idiot 2000 gt automatic is one of the fkn slowest mustangs alive next to the 1996 GT! wow seriusly man u dont have buddy with all those cars u claim u have!! fkn tool!

  • Stage 1 is a waste of money. So is a stage 2 kit. I have a stage 2 kit and I am modding more but I would pull on you pretty good.

  • @CarefullySleek If you went gm way you got raped. It would be a lot cheaper other ways. If your not worried about warranty that is.

  • @tornadostorm18 Oh for sure, I bought the car with the GM stage 2 kit on it. Since the last comment I have put a 2.8, etc... on. I nearly beat a GM Stage 1 SS/TC at the track if I wouldn't have misshifted into 3rd. Haha.

  • @CarefullySleek I may have lied. It appears if you went "cheaper ways" you would need a custom tune, and dependent on where you live or your computer mechanical skills it may cost a hell of a lot more. I was told if I did certain things I would need a custom tune, which from the price of the software it would cost 500 or I would have to drive to far out, which I can't do if I install the performance parts myself cause my car would run right......=( + I don't want to do intense PCM either...

  • @tornadostorm18 Well OTTP and ZZP offer really nice kits that don't need a person to be that mechanically inclined. The basemaps they offer are really nice basemaps. Custom tuning is for peak performance and driveability. The GM tunes aren't that great themselves.

  • @CarefullySleek yeah its funny you said that after I commented I found OTTP website and really liked the prices I found. I found shit tons of parts I can't find any where on any site, ZZP for some reason I'm not impressed with. I'm shocked to see Intense prices after ZZP and OTTP. I'm going with OTTP but I don't want to spend $ on a additional cooling system + I would need them to ship me a new pcm which I don't want to do either. Fucking broke though need a new job now!

  • I have a 06 ss cobalt and can tell you right now you would never murder me in a straightaway with a 2000 GT stock.

  • @halofan373 ss/sc or just ss?

  • @tornadostorm18

It was an ss/sc. Pretty quick and got great gas mileage. I got a better job and now own a 2004 LS1 GTO and am in the process of putting together a turbo kit for it. Cobalt was fast but my GTO is REALLY fast ;)

  • @halofan373 I hear the turbo cobalts with tunes keep up with gto, but haven't seen it yet.

  • @tornadostorm18 Yeah It will keep up with a stock GTO. Heck a turbo cobalt would probably be a pretty good race. But a turbo Cobalt won't touch a GTO with forced induction. Whatever you do to a four cylinder, you can always do bigger and better on a V8!!! ;). Wish I had kept both cars though.

  • @halofan373 You are right about going bigger with v8, but there are some 4 cylinders that are too much for most to handle. Whats the point of power if you can't keep it under control?

  • Mustang driver didnt drive it very well......

  • Bullshit sir.......

  • for all the fuckers that are talking shit about my comment read my fucking comment i said it was a super charged cobalt they put a super charge in it you dumb fucks id dint say it came with one

  • Cuz in 2008 they came with turbos

  • Poor mustang, lol

  • ya cobalt isnt american muscle, its an american muscle ass kicker!!

    COBALT 4 LIFE!

  • Since its American I call mine the corn burner......

  • Did you now ? Chevy didn't produce supercharged Cobalts for 2008

  • i hope you have a lot done to your mustang than. the 1996-1998 mustang gts are 15 second turds stock. and could you at least get your facts straight before you make up stories. there's no such thing as an 08 supercharged cobalt.

  • Bullshit you did........ First off they didn't make supercharged cobalts in 08 dip shit......... Second off No FUCKING WAY!

  • american muscle = Coalt V4???? WTF?

Cobalts are american muscle MY ASS!!!

  • V4 LOLLLLLL It's a L4 lolll wut a looser

  • Yeah, the Cobalt is really a wonderful-performing car at a great price. But I wouldn't consider it muscle.

  • Nope me neither..... thats why its an American corn burner!

  • @mothmonsterman18 its more of a domestic tuner but still a bad ass little car! i drive a stage 2 SS/SC n i love it! better than my brothers Mustang GT/CS

  • American corn burners alright......

  • i murderd a colbat ss at stop lite races couldnt even touch me the gsx eclipse was keepin up wit me ahha peice of shit that stang is slow my stang will beat it

  • lol that whole my car will beat your car shit is so gay get over yourself and the car you probably dont own

  • its n ot slow that cobalt is modded to hell they flipped and said mustang was

  • lol mustang smell mike shit big v8 and defeated by sooooooooo mannnnnnyyy 4cylinder stock...

  • i wouldnt consider a cobalt pure muscle but it is one hell of a domestic tuner.

  • Well-put. +1

  • American corn burner to be exact.......

  • Not unless he is running E85!!! :) Hahaha

  • Good one...... but no........

  • Lol, just trying to lighten the mood. Everyone on YouTube is so high strung these days.

  • I concur my friend.

  • Word, whats done to your Cobalt?

  • GM stage 3 with custom tune and every bolt on imagionable. I like it and I'm tired of everybody ranking on cobalts. Everybody seems to think cobalts are slow until they come accross me.

  • You got the SS TC? or the supercharged one

  • 06 SS/SC with G85 package. Custom tuned stage 3 and every bolt on I can think of.

  • That's cool man...not a huge fan of supercharging 4 cylinders but you Ecotec guys sure do make it work.

What do you run in the 1/4?

  • I haven't been to the track but I'm guessing high twelves. Not where I'd like to be but I don't want to invest in a new tranny and diffs...... Anymore HP and I'm gonna be shelling out the dough reinforcing those.....

  • Yea, I'm to the point on my GP where I can't add anymore timing unless I put in head studs.

On 15 PSI I'm 12.9's. Not too bad, not really where I wanna be either.

  • Nice. If I had the money I would get the new Harrop TVS blower, diamond racing pistons, new cams, and something with my tranny and diffs I haven't looked into it much cause I'll be tempted. I know the HP and boost is still questionable with this setup but a lot of guys are getting 450HP no problem out of a street 4cyl. Not too shabby in my book especially for a supercharged 4cyl. I don't know why tuner guys talk smack about cobalts but they are earning respect from the imports. Slowly.......

  • Yea Idk man. I'm not pointing fingers or saying anything about you,, but must Cobalt guys I know think there car is the fastest shit ever...not talking about you.

  • Well there idiots cause its not. I like it cause the supercharger screams loud and its different than most imports.

  • Yea for sure. To me, it's not about who's fastest, It's all about passion for what you like. I don't give a shit if its a 16 second car. If you like it and set goals, then that's fucking cool as shit in my book.

  • I just like cars and I wanted the cobalt ss an entire year before it came out because it had the 2.0 liter that I love and it just had my name all over it. I haven't been dissapointed and still love it to death. People still ask me what the hell it is for some reason. Not to many of them out there which I like. Plus I've always been a chevy guy. I get a really big kick out of my car. I love it

  • Yea I feel the same way about my car. Total sleeper lol

  • complete sleeper. I wouldn't expect it. for some reason my car is labeled a sleeper and I don't get it cause it has the ground effects says SS right on it and has a big ass spoiler...... I really don't get it but its cool. It is in the fact that people think I'm a weak stock SS.

  • "weak stock SS"

That's what gets them man :-)

  • Thanks I appreciate you saying that a lot.

  • Hell yea bro...I give respect where it's due.

  • Your car is supercharged isn't it? Are you running a smaller pulley and bigger injectors?

  • Yea. Running the 2.8 pulley on the M90 and 42.5# injectors on full E85

  • NICE

  • Yea dude it runs pretty hard lol

  • Haha big bad Ford got beat by a GM tuner!

  • And there gone lol

  • Oh ya, SSboosted is right, octane boosters dont work, a "point" really means .10, you would need 10 bottles of octane booster to go from 87 yo 88 octane.and it only costs roughly $2.50 more PER TANK to use 93 instead of 87. Thats not quite an arm and a leg...dick. most people dont realize that it doesnt really cost much more AND on top of burning cleaner, higher octane actually lasts longer between fillups compared to low octane...Seriously, you're the one that seems to be full of shit, egale180

  • From the factory it is designed to run on at least 91 octane. This is because of the 9.4ish compression and the 12 psi of max boost the blower is producing. Also the stock tune is setup to use 91 because of the timing it runs.I believe 91 is safe to use with stage 1 also, but you should use 93 octane with the stage 2 and up(15 psi and up), otherwise it will detonate like hell and the knock sensor will tell the ecu to pull timing until the detonation stops.Maybe YOU should go back to school

  • funny how ppl fight over the stuff done to them haha....my buddies ss won by about 4 cars and i beat his ss by about 6 cars haha

  • 42lb injectors are in the stage kits...dumb shits

  • HAHA... either learn how to shift or just buy a CHEVY......GT = SLOW!! people need to learn...By the way colbalt ss is not that fast....MUSTANG>>>>SLOW!

  • lol whenever they feel like there fuckin ready

  • STP makes a nice Octane booster if you want to change the Octane of your gas instead of paying an arm and a leg for Premium or 87+ octanes from the pump.

  • ha ha research octane booster...they say it raises the octane by maybe 8 to 10 points. when they say this they mean .8 to .10 points!!! And the cheap STP ones you talk of actually leave deposits in your engine which will hurt it over time!

  • then obviously you don't know anything about ratios and pure common sense...or just lack common sense. lets see deposits...hmm...sluge? no problem here since some people know how to take care of their cars and aren't ignorant about cars so need to take it to a chevy / ford dealer depending what car someone drives.

  • i agree. the best thing to do is to run 93 octane all that octane booster crap is junk just a way to bezzile into the ignorant ricers of the i wanna go fast world. 93 octane pump gas will not only burn cleaner and slower and more effeciently but it will also maintain ur engine life for a much longer period of time. these guys need to do some research yo. or take auto tech classes.

  • r0k088 i think you need to learn a little more about your car. Stage one comes with 42 lbs injectors and gm reflash (they aren't a "custom tune". Stage 2 comes with smaller pulley and same injectors. I work for chevy so don't even try and say i'm wrong. Get your facts straight before you run your dumbass mouth

  • what you think is better ford or chevy

  • Whats funny is anyone can say anything on the internet & be taken seriously.frankly who gives two shits what the differences between stage 1 ,2 & so forth..obviously you can make a car decently powerful if you put the money to it..as to whether or not you work for chevy..i can see maybe a chevy dealer but not for GM themselves. sorry but your ignorant ass taking shit so seriously over the internet proves that you aren't even of age to be working in GM..please sit down w/ the rest of the flammers

  • Further more whoever had the idea that you need to run on a certain octane of gas for a certain amount of work thats done to that car be it Stage 1 / 2 / 3 whatever....you seriously need to just stay in school....83/87 or whatever octane of gas that you prefer is what you put in the car. If you want to pay an arm and a leg go ahead and put premium or w/e...but some people prefer regular which is 83 octane...you can easily use regular pump gas for NOS kits and any type of forced induction.

  • The camera car was catching the mustang lol.

    Is it a Trans Am?

  • haha like the cobalt would even have a chance if that stang really got on it

  • haha you would be surprzied..

  • actually no my friend has a very nice redline that even when driving my girl's stock GT vert i have smoked every time, very impressive for a 4cyl wit ha pos. displ. charger on it though.

  • My SS has no problems pulling on 99 GT's with only stage 2 and an airbox mod.. my car makes about 245 whp..trust me that mustang was WOT and lost.

  • my cobalt eats my SN95 GT... with mods..!

  • lol good run cobalt really!

  • nah i dont know the owner, im just saying some of the basic upgrades. im guessing he has stage 2 in it, stock i think it would be kind of hard to pull that mustang.

  • do you know what the upgrades on the cobalt are

  • yeah man, well the stock cobalt SS S/C is at 205 horsepower. stage 1 upgrade is 60lb fuel injectors that will boost it to about 230. Stage 2 are the 60lb fuel injectors and a larger supercharger pully that will boost it to 245 horsepower. the only thing is with stage 2 it requires premium gas to take advantage of the octane for the larger fuel injectors. then get a cold air = 255, exhaust = 270 range.

  • you know the owner of the cobalt??

  • yeah if you put a larger pulley on a supercharger it would slow the supercharger creating less boost equaling less power its a smaller pulley they put on it to increase the boost...dipshit

  • stage 1 only has 42lb injectors, not 60lb..stock are 36 lbers..stage 2 is just more boost not bigger injectors than stage 1. further, stage 1 and 2 both require premium fuel

  • actually stage 1 is 3.00pulley and custom gm tune.. stage 2 is the same pulley but with the lucas 42# injectors and tune..

  • you have it backwards, stage 1 includes only 42lb injectors and GM PCM reflash(tune). Stage 2 includes everything in Stage 1 along with a smaller pulley raising boost by 3 psi.

  • umm no.. you have it backward...

damn man i own the damn balt.. and i know the damn stages...!

  • I own a stage2 SS/SC myself, I am correct about the stage kits, why would GM raise the boost b4 adding fuel? research it for yourself. We are talking GM kits right? there are aftermarkit stage kits also

  • 17801947 Stage 1 Performance Upgrade Kit, Cobalt SS/ION Redline.

For 05-07 Saturn Ion Redline and Cheverolet Cobalt SS only. This kit enhances engine performance to 230 hp (up from stock 205 hp). Includes high-flow 42# injectors & specific performance engine calibration.

    Premium fuel required.

  • that was interesting

  • cobalt owns mustang again. hahahahaha

  • Another fool who can't tell when a video has been staged. hahahaha

  • cause its impossible for a 13 second car(stage 2 cobalt) to beat a 14 second car(mustang gt)

    tool.
