@AidanLunn i think your just lumping in a suggestion that uploading effected the sales, from what your saying its quite clear the BBC screwed up the DVD originally.
In fact it seams they made a poor product and then used excuses to colour the fact.
@AidanLunn, i think perhaps its easy to think that way when you are a DVD user/collector, it defeats the purpose of a buying them in some way for them.
If anything its a promotion for people who would never have payed for a DVD in the first place to get interested and then buy the DVD , it boosts sales.
Yes, for DVD collectors, personally i am very happy with the quality here. Each to there own, i dont think us watching them for free in bad quality has any negative bearing upon the BBC's money making department.
luckily we can watch them all again online, with out waiting for some business director to decide if the tax payer deserves to see their programs again.
Yes but surely a DVD in broadcast quality on a TV would be better than watching a horribly compressed version of a grotty, worn-out VHS (or Betamax) tape on a PC?
all the series of 1991 and 1994 was the best series ever.
