  • Well, folks . . . we shouldn't forget the Putrid American Past . . . The Artist in Benny Carter saw the beauty inherent in this stretch of coastline . . . even though HE wouldn't have been allowed to own a piece of it, or even rent there!

    Better listen to this great music while you can . . . before the Tea Party Loonies get power

    and ban it!

  • Well, folks . . . pretty, pretty melody . . . in a masterful arrangement . . . equal to any of Duke/Strays . . . but Carter never got the public recognition Duke enjoyed . . . Benny was never invited to the Nixon White House . . . oh well---have to give the old scoundrel from Yorba Linda credit for SOMETHING positive.
