  • the transmission on the 1997-2004 Chevrolet Corvette

    Transmission

    6-speed manual

    4-speed auto

  • No exhaust rev?

  • lol @ the horn sound!

  • Should i get Vette 2003 or BMW M 2004?Its hard to decide...

  • @Bhfanatic9 Vette is cheaper to maintain. I'd choose the Vette.

  • I'm wondering why they put folding seats in a two seater car?

  • 0:38, blue smokes indicates the piston rings have leakages. or it could be cam valve leakages, and it's very hard to fix it.

  • why is the oil pressure so high?

  • nice car

  • is there any aftermarket xm stereo, navigation and bluetooth altogether, because i love this car, but it doesnt have the things that new cars have. Please Reply!

  • The Chevrolet Corvette came out for the first time in 1953. The 50th anniversary edition was available only in 2003 BUT this vehicle is not it. this is just a base coupe from 03. It was a special edition vehicle only available in Aniverary Red (a deep burgandy with aluminum flakes for a sparkle effect). It also featured 50th anniversary logos on the headrests of the car and the interior was Shale.

  • first of all 50th anniversary 03 the first corvette was made in 53 with a straight 6 cyl and 150 hp and thats a 50th anniversary year not 50th anniversary edition only came in anniversary red with a shale interior thats the difference

  • i noticed you pushed the clutch and brake down while the car is in neutral. you actually dont have to push either when its on handbrake, you only MUST push the clutch if its in gear. dont know if you know but im just saying :)

  • the 1996-2004 Chevrolet Corvette was assembled in

    Bowling Green, Kentucky, United States

  • the horn sounds gay

  • nice horn...

  • Borla is just straight nasty

  • Kyle,i appoligize in advance if you think its rude, its certainly not meant to be...when you said a modest cup holder,I laughed .All I could envision was your struggling to keep the cover open on the cup holder, because it kept trying to close its self to keep you from looking inside at it.lmao..I totally know what you meant, lol.

  • It has a nice body & wheels, but there is definately engine concerns.

  • Oil pressure sending unit is bad. Gauge pegged at 80. Very common problem with C5 Corvettes.

  • Needs valve stem seals.

Lots of smoke when first start.

    Mine is clean.

  • kyle why does the title say that its a 2003 corvette but in the vidieo u say that its a 2002 corvette

  • how much

  • Title reads 2003 yet you say it's a 2002...

  • GM's famous piston slap, max oil pressure and blue smoke.humm. probably burns oil and has some blow-by. still a fairly nice ride in spite of the issues though. I'd take it if the price was right.

  • @watso64 Ya, between the blue start up smoke and the way the engine sounds cold I'd be nervous about owning one that is not under warranty.

  • @BigDish101 yeah I wouldn't touch this vehicle if it didn't have a warranty, really ticks loud for the first few seconds. The engine was probably abused and not maintained properly cost $7,000 for a new LS1. The previous owner probably tried to cover the tick with the loud exhaust system. can't cover the blue smoke though. I have a Silverado with 185,000 miles and it doesn't tick or have any visible blue smoke.

  • @BigDish101 Well, the "tick" is the HLA's (hydraulic lifters), which usually happens when you don't use it daily, I have a L4 turbocharged Mazda engine which ticks if I don't run it for 3 days. I'm more concerned about the smoke and KNOCKING I hear. I've been wanting a vett, I like Pop up lights, so I don't like the newest ones, and I like the LS1 ones better than the older LT1 body, but I'm wondering if it's safer to get a LT1. I want low maint. My current turbo is NOT low maint.

  • haha thats a wimpy horn! lol

  • For a 50th Anniversary Edition, that Corvette is very sparsely equipped. My Mom has a 1993 C4 40th Anniversary Coupe and a 2001 C5 Coupe. The 40th Anniversary is fully loaded with every option including the Selective Ride Control. This 2003 doesn't have memory seats, heads up display, auto climate control, dimming inside/outside mirror, etc... What a cheap "Anniversary Edition"! These aren't made like they used to be, that's for sure...

  • you looking good man, nice shirt :)

and nice video, as always! :)

  • Comment removed

  • 진짜 멋대가리 없게 망그렇네 ~,,~

  • I love how you refer to that ahem...cupholder, as "modest".

  • That car is pretty awesome, despite flaws. Exhaust sounds sweeeet.

  • I've always wanted a 50th anniversary since I was like 10:D But I would much rather pick a Japanese racing car any day as their technology in cars is much better than what us Americans has to offer.

  • @pmrpimp and they sound like shit and go like shit lol

  • Fantastic car! 5*

  • Man, I hope that oil pressure gauge is broken... Otherwise we got a problem...

  • The gauge will max out if the sending unit is broken. Easy fix.

  • arnet the 50th anniversery editions 2003 models?

  • they may have carried it, but I double checked it and it is a 2002

  • odd how gm does things the vette came out in 53.

  • I know, i was thinking the same thing

  • actually I think you're right, I think it's printed wrong on their website, I'm looking them all up on ebay and there's no 50th showing up in 02, but yes in 03, I'll annotate the video and change it, thanks for pointing that out.

  • @saabkyle04 glad i could help. I was at the musem in bowlinggreen in 03 and i got a tour of one of the 50th editions.

  • @saabkyle04 hey do you think im too tall for this car at 6'4? im a pretty skinny guy with long legs at an inseam of 36

  • 50 thousand dollar car and the horn sounds like that lol

  • maybe it was modified or missing a tone who knows

  • You wont be heard on the road with THAT!

  • hahaha

  • this is my dads dream car and now i know why!

  • yeah man!

  • great car , but what a dissapointment with the horn!
