  • I think its awesome that a video game has introduced both this man and Max Von Sydow to the younger generations such as myself. Such amazing artists!

  • Man has the most amazing voice...

  • Jeez, if he played gandalf, lord of the rings would have been epicer

  • he sounds kinda like morgan freeman

  • Skyrim :D

  • @TheCoin100 You read that blog didn't you??? :D

  • @Xiox321 Haha yes i did :D

  • When did he join the Krips?

  • @RichardElden I don't even know what you mean by that.

  • Lovely interview. But why, if born and raised in Canada, does he sound like Prince Phillip? Is it an upper-class thing?

  • Terrific actor ... ♥ u Mr. Plummer.

  • Gutted that he's old now, he was so attractive back in the day.

  • He shoul've been dumbledore.

  • This interview is awesome, he's so candid about everything. One embarrassing moment though was when the interviewer said he was nominated for an Oscar for Inside Man or something.

  • I had a crush on him too when I was in my teens, he was so handsome! well still he's pretty atractive for 80 years old! wow!

  • Loved him in The Man who Planted Trees...

  • I always thought this guys a great actor...since I saw him in some war movie....wow I am surprised he is Canadian...he speaks so posh I thought he was British :)

  • He would've been good as dumbledore in HP movies...

  • So much fun to hear him talk about his life!. Such a lovely person!

  • oh! i love Christopher Plummer!

  • he's a straight male diva. fascinating..!

  • My God,

I have no words to express my admiration for this phenomenal actor. I think I've seen all his movies and I always thought that there is no other equal to Christopher Plumer ( he has so much talent and a special charm)

    Sorry!!!

My English is too bad to describe what I feel every time I see Christopher Plummer.

  • OMG.! he's old already but still i can remember him as Captain Von Trapp.

  • OMG.! he's old already but still i can remember him as Captain Von Trapp.

  • what year was this ?? he is still handsome

  • It was my good fortune to see Christopher Plummer on Broadway in CYRANO (for which he won a richly deserved Tony Award); in Neil Simon's THE GOOD DOCTOR (he's wonderful in comedy!); as Iago in OTHELLO (superb interpretation!); and as BARRYMORE (in his immensely entertaining one man show). He is one of the very best actors that I have ever seen in the theater. He recently said in an interview that he doing BARRYMORE in Montreal and filming it! Make certain to see it!

  • Good one- its nice that he's so articulate and takes time to answer every questions... and his voice- awesome... I think hollywood of today needs to learn from him and so from the other great legends..... thanks for sharing.

  • 80's? I'd have said early 60's. He doesn't have even a tinge of that shakiness of the elderly, and so sharp and quick. I have to get his book. I find his stories fascinating.

  • If you want to act, audition for every available role, in whatever venue (school, community theater, etc.) If they offer you a role, TAKE it, no matter how small. You learn how to act by acting. Ideally, you will find and study with a first-rate voice teacher. You will also study dance, or perhaps tai chi chuan. Good actors move gracefully or at least without awkwardness. And they don't have to force their voices, because they use 'em with optimum efficiency.

  • what year was this?

  • True!!!.......your reasoning....

    Je suis d'accord avec vous.

  • Look at a great actor like Christopher Plummer who's been acting since the late 50's and was just finally nominated in 2009 for an oscar. Then you got guys like George Clooney. Clooney has been nominated 4 times and won once. I admire Clooney's philanthropy work and all but he basically plays himself in every movie. The Oscars are a joke to me. People Like Gary Oldman have never even been nominated.

  • I loooved him in The Sound of Music! and i still do!!! =]] my childhood tall dark handsome man=]]

  • He should be knighted, such a great actor.

  • @ianmann64 Except he's Canadian...

  • @saveourplanet14 He can do a Beaverbrook or, heaven forbid, Lord Black of Crossharbour. Better still, scrap the Nickle Resolution.

  • Too bad he died on 9

  • Love Christopher Plummer!

  • He's still HOT! Maybe not quite as much as in his Captain von Trapp days, but he still looks good! I love this interview!

  • You are so right, despite his wrinkles I cannot see him as an old man. He is charming and has such a beatiful voice.

  • I can't believe he is 80 yrs old already.

  • hes 80 years old, but if you hear his grammar and his sentence structure he speaks as if hes still in his 60s. This man is still young. Hes my favorite male actor and I first learn about him on "Air Canada TV" on my way to Toronto from Madrid Spain and not to mention I live here in the states.

  • @phatkid099 - He is terribly charming!

  • Gosh! He still looks good! Thanks for Posting!

  • This is a marvellous interview. Excellent interviewer.

  • His voice always reminds me of Gregory Peck. His voice sounds completely different for Charles Muntz in Up.

  • I did not realize he was not british.

  • I'm related to him! He's my great cousin :)

  • are u serious LUCKY

  • I've liked Christopher Plummer since I had a crush on him as a teenager. Great actor, very personable and entertaining. He was also amazingly good looking when in his prime.

  • oh god same here

  • @dynasue77

    Agreed. He's still very nice-looking - considering he's over 80!

  • yeeee my daddy allan

  • Great interview. I loved his autobiography, "In Spite of Myself." Such a great read. That's one book I'll buy for myself (I'd checked it out at the library).

  • Proud to be Canadian! Christopher Plummer is such a great talent.

  • Wow, seeing him this old makes you realize how old the Sound of Music movie is.

  • i love that movie greatest of all times
