Okay now! You done made me homesick to see the hills of Virginia and longing for a drive to Blowing Rock, North Carolina. I was born just over yonder from Wytheville; and a Great Grand Uncle lived in Blowing Rock. One Grandma would talk about some kin folk in Galax. I was transplanted to Detroit 54 years ago, but still have the love of the hills in me.
I enjoyed the photos and the music. Good job. Thanks for sharing that!
Really enjoyed the video!! We are actually going to that area Thursday and will be staying in Galax!!! So you can imagine my excitement when I Googled Galax NC and saw your Site. Thanks so much! I can hardly wait! Looking forward to going to the Rex! Carol
Glad you liked it! Have fun. Make sure you visit the Galax Smokehouse - good food! And, it's right at the corner on Main St. by the Rex. Believe it or not, I haven't been in that theatre. Lots of antique/consignment shops. Carol's Consignment shop is my favorite - same side of street as Smokehouse, just down a few blocks. ENJOY!
I love this! My family and I lived in Galax for 4 years but now I live in St Louis. I'll probably visit Galax this summer. The music is perfect for the video!
Yes, they're called the "Galax Little Leaves" from Galax, VA. The insert in the CD I bought said that they don't play as a group anymore, but individually.
Galax is just a stone throw away from me,NOW must go there..Thanks

Nevermind, I read the rest of the comments, I thought that was the Little Leaves.
I recognized Houston and Asa's style.
