I remember listening to One Way - Cutie Pie in 1982 on a LaSonic Ghetto Blaster not boom box. Boon box was when NWA was out and the West side of L.A. (Santa Monica) finally accepted that hip hop was here to stay, now they're trying to be ghetto, but they don't have "street cred" Keep bangin' the box with the old school style...never knock it....it's real.

Quality of this unit is a FAR CRY from the boomboxes of the 80's. Plus the fake chrome screams CHEESE!

A quality boombox today would cost $400-600, not a mere $150. remember $200 in 1983 was worth ALOT more than even $400 today.
