I met Christian Boeving at the gym, he played the Commander on the show. I asked him why it was cancelled and apparently some guy got killed during the show.

The characters were not real and they were obviously acting but the actual competition was real.

He told me that all the guys were juicing like crazy too for the show.

American Roidiators looked like 3rd string neverwas atheletes turned mainlining bodybuilders. Battle Dome was like bringing Running Man to life without the killing. Did you ever see the episode where there were some real fights that broke out between the warriors after there were some staged confrontations? Wicked.

Damn I tuned into this show religiously. The events were so fun to watch. My fave was Battle Wheel. Cuda was so freakin HUGE it almost wasn't fair! And I remember when Jake Fury snapped his ankle while gettin tossed off the wheel. Eesh!

Battle Dome was actually better than American Gladiators in my opinion, and I liked AG.

BD just had more grueling, interesting events, and the contenders & warriors were of higher quality.

Remember how Bubba King was undefeated for a really long time on that Hang Tough(?) event until he one day met his match? It was awesome.
