  • just repaired mine thanks for this deffo best one out there

  • Hey are these tools the same tools as the ones on the website ? As the ones i previously brought on ebay broke within in seconds of use.

  • All the tools we use on our videos can be found on our website under the iPod, iPad & iPhone Tools section.

  • i sacratched the botton screen i think its called lcd doing this but just a lil one will it affect it it still turns on ?

  • @1JeSsE0123 T=That should be fine, if it is a light scratch it won't affect the screen working at all and the chances are that once it is powered up then you won't see it anyway :)

  • this vid is the clearest so thxs!!!

  • This is the best video on how to do this. If you actually analyze how everything connects like he does, it's not that hard.

I used a razor blade knife to get in between the rubber and the medal because if it's an iPod this old, the rubber is crumbly and difficult. I did most of the work with a small flat head screwdriver though. Don't be afraid to wiggle it around in there. Really, the only part you have to be cautious with is the ribbon cable.

  • Best video i found! fixed it in half an hour, but it was the first ipod touch i fixed :P thank you so much!

  • very good video ! all the best man!

  • thx!!!!

  • you rock thanks mate...

  • Thanks for the great instructions! Few minor errors on my part but works fine.

  • Best video on youtube showing how to get the screen out and back in.

NOTE: Make sure your clips are not bent into the wrong position before assembly -- it will cause the digitizer to malfunction!

Look closely at how the clip and frame position in relation to the outer shell.

The black plastic frame MUST go INSIDE of all of the clips. If a clip is bent causing the clip to go inside the digitizer it may go back together but it will interfere with the digitizer functionality.
