Thankyou thankyou thankyou!!! I was heartsick for days after JE for the same reasons a lot of folks were/are. He has this complex that in the end is very selfish though he thinks he's being selfless. I'm not exactly for Rose staying, but why bring her back to the show for a tiny bit if THAT is where we leave her?

Oh, I am so close to tears after watching your video. In ways I like Journey's End ending for every character but I am nowhere near satisfied about Rose's departure.... so your video has made me feel a little easier, lol. :-) Well done!

That was really fantastic. And, yes, it is obvious that the Doctor is going down a very dark path. I believe he should go back to Rose...for himself...not for any shipper reason, really. I believe he should go be the one that dies because he is almost dead inside, now. And if he can't work out with Rose then he is never going to work with anyone...so he is on a path of unrelenting disappointment. This clearly shows what I hope RTD meant to show, the Doctor becoming the Valeyard.

I completely agree, the doctor is a broken person and as we were shown through all 4 series Rose is the only person who could truly heal him. Look when she immediately grabbed his hand as his Tardis was burning, he needs help and Rose can give it to him. :o) I want my happy bright smiley Doctor back.

It seems to be the ultimate question with a character like the Doctor: Is he any better than the monsters he fights?

I'd like to think that he is. But he has his dark side, and a certain arrogance that might make him think that whatever seems to be going through his head is right and everyone else is wrong.

What he did to Donna was horrific.

But he thought it was best.

And is there any real right or wrong answer to that?

Thank you for seeing EVERYTHING I was trying to convey. I don't believe there is an answer because on one side he saved her life (DoctorDonna died though :o( ) but on the other he took away her right to choose. How can you weigh something like that?

The end of the finale really portrayed him as something awful and I wanted to give a nicer AU perspective. Thanks again!

I meant to say how much I loved the very ending, as I'm a massive Doctor/Rose shipper and I actually ran out of comment space.

But I think that Davros "revealing" him might have influenced his decisions for Rose and certainly for Donna. In giving Rose DoctorTwo, she's got a purpose again, she's no longer desperate. And in erasing Donna's memorys, she doesn't become a "weapon".

Does that make sense or am I starting to run my gob again?

Although I agree and disagree on some things. While I agree to Davros' revealing of him influencing his decisions I disagree with the bit of giving Rose a purpose. She was desperate to return to her Doctor out of love, yes, but the Doctor(2) seemed more of how the Doctor SHOULD be. I didn't see him as a broken man that needed repair, but calm and collected. He wiped out a race of Daleks that were created through time manipulation and never meant to exist.

But the Doctor doesn't know what's going on inside her head. He thinks that dropping her back in Norway with DoctorTwo is going to solve all of her problems. What's in her head is totally a mystery.

I really want to believe that she'll be happy with him, but there's that nagging voice that she won't. She'll miss the proper Doctor.

Everything you've said about the Daleks was brilliant. In an indirect fashion, the Doctor created the Daleks. They weren't supposed to be there, and he did have the right to destroy them. What was he going to do, let them leave and destroy the universe? It was the only thing he could do.

What do you think, then, will Rose be back?

I agree with HHR. "almost" every episode is done from the Doctor's point of view. So you have to think like the doctor to understand. He was doing the one thing for rose that he thought was best. He was giving her the otherdoctor because he was better than himself. He could give her somone to grow old with, and still have all of the same memories. Not only that, it would be like starting a new life with him. Having to get rid of the rage inside of Doctor2. He thinks that rose would like #2 bettr

Oh I don't doubt at all that the Doctor had noble intentions. What bothers me the most is that he didn't *ask* her what she wanted. Same with Donna (but different situation). He plopped them both in the parallel world and..(although I find the kiss between 10.2 and Rose a bit odd since it seems out of character for her) she ran after the Doctor as the Tardis faded. No proper goodbye. I would've even been satisfied with a "see ya love, have lots of timelordy/human babies for me!"

I was yelling at the screen at the end of JE because A) the fact that Rose fought that hard to save him and be with him, she wouldn't let him go that easy, since she ran after the TARDIS too B) No matter what people say, 10.5 isn't the Doctor- whatever happened to his having Donna's mouth and feelings? C) The Doc himself said 10.5 had too much blood on his hands; how does that make him better for Rose? It all doesn't add up.

Agreed, the way it ended was horrible (hence my own "some what" patch-up with this video). Rose would never just give up, her one true passion was being his counter-part. 10.2 doesn't need saving. He is part human, better at understanding and relating to the human race in ways 10 cannot. 10 is the one that is lonely, the one that once needed saving after so much turmoil with the destruction of his race. I firmly believe he needs Rose again. After the X-mas special, who knows what will happen?

Well there is much speculation to that. RTD and the actors have lied to keep the show in secrecy before so it wouldn't surprise me if they do it again. Especially since much of the cast had a problem with the way the finale ended. I hope in the specials everything is healed. RTD has the Christmas and 3 other specials to complete HIS journey of Doctor Who. He was suppose to wipe the slate clean for Moffat and THIS definitely didn't do it. At least for me, things didn't make sense.

The dark doctor is getting a bit old, i was starting to enjoy the whole having fun with donna thing before it got all season finale angsty... if they do not bring back conna or rose i hope to god its not another love sick 21st century female..... how about someone from the past of future, or another planet.. a bit like the doctor of old..... less love more adventure

I also think that there are a lot of loose ends that still need to be tied up, a lot of conflicts that weren't resolved.

And that the Doctor really needs to learn how to ask others what they think, instead of assuming that his big Time Lord brain gives him the higher authority.

I mean really, if you'd left this amazing woman behind twice already and now you knew you wouldn't out live her, wouldn't have to leave her, wouldn't you just go 'screw all this time lord crap' and go for it? You know what's absolutely funny? The person who inspired this video, she talked about a mind swap. Because 10.2 has Donna's sense of adventure in him still so if he only had a regenerative body he could go on and take the reigns..which would provide a fresh break and new Doctor for Moffat. While 10, the broken Doctor would live the rest of his life with Rose..have the life "he could never have". Ugh I would love that. X3

I think I'd personally love Jenny to return as well.

It would give the show a new dynamic. I mean, it could be the next step, couldn't it?

We've had the romance, the unrequited romance, and the best friends, why not father and daughter?

Plus I think Jenny'd be an even more brilliant character if they had a chance to expand her a bit more.

I definitely wouldn't mind that she returned. I absolutely loved the scene when Donna was about to seduce the guard and the Doctor held her back saying "save it for later". Very funny. I would like to see her character develop more though, to see the Doctor with his daughter and her picking up his quirks. He was very happy before she "died". It would cheer him up a bit.
