@DGrant1010 Um... yes it does. It's the only game where I have to actually spend hours leveling up. Take Chrono Trigger, for example (another Square game). I avoided as many battles a possible, and I never needed to grind for experience like in FFIV.

I think in the GBA version they royally messed up the opening because Cecil and Kain aren't really supposed to know what they are bringing to the village, they were supposed to have a package not a bomb ring which makes it too obvious what's going to happen yet because of the way the game plays out they still act surprised when the village gets torched even though what they are carrying is too obvious in name (Bomb Ring)
They didnt know it would cause so much destruction and it was because of Rydia that made them see what they did to get to the village and what they did to Rydias mother or the village. Try reading the word that they say
In the DSremake it's called a Carnellian Signet, and the King hints that he wants the Summoners to decipher it's meaning saying "They'll know what it means..."

It's subjective i guess. But you have to understand that snes games are a source of nostalgia for those who played them in their youth, especially good games with epic memorable soundtracks. Take away the simplicity of the graphics, especially to replace it with this retarded dancing boss, and other things, and you take the beauty out of it for alot of people. Are you young? Actually; if you knock all three Baigan targets HP down to zero at the same time; he dies like a normal boss with the sinking graphic effect and everything. To trigger it; you cast Blizzaga with Tellah to start and then cast Quake with Palom to end it. Profits!

I attacked from left to right so that he wouldn't reflect on everything and he couldn't regrow his arms. He don't cast reflect when u magic his arms, and he regrows his arms when he loses them both. ALWAYS twincast. And when the battle is over go to the waterway AND SAVE- VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!
dont... ttry to keep everyone alive...let the twins use twincast and tellah with Celcil on healing duty... oh! a Yang much use focus 3-4 times then use kick. itll go smoothly for you then! i just got passed barbarccia
ya barbaraccia is hard but i managed to pass as well. RTight now im stuck (spoilers:dont read if you dont know) on the moon where you verse bahamut and i can bearly beat the first mini boss (theres three altogether)
he's a real hard to beat a*shole and i could only win with twincast while he had reflect on. also i think yang also thinks if he still was working for the enimy he orld become a freak like that
I kept dying from his tsunami move, but when hes charging it up he dosnt have reflect on and casting thunder dispels his charging then hes open for a strong attack.
When he uses Reflect, just continue to cast Focus on Yang, then Kick as that deal some great damage. Also, use the twins attack, Twincast so they deliver an ultimate attack, assuming both are still alive or aren't under a negative status effect. Continue to heal Yang and the twins and with Kick and Twincast, and with the occasional Thundaga attack, you should be walking away from this battle fairly quickly.

dont... ttry to keep everyone alive...let the twins use twincast and tellah with Celcil on healing duty... oh! a Yang much use focus 3-4 times then use kick. itll go smoothly for you then! i just got passed barbarccia

ya barbaraccia is hard but i managed to pass as well. RTight now im stuck (spoilers:dont read if you dont know) on the moon where you verse bahamut and i can bearly beat the first mini boss (theres three altogether)
Maybe i need to train :)

I'm on my second game, just beat geryon without any onion and cursed rings, but it was hard.

oh yeah i was just wondering, what good does cursed rings do? ithought they just make you stats go down.

he's a real hard to beat a*shole and i could only win with twincast while he had reflect on. also i think yang also thinks if he still was working for the enimy he orld become a freak like that

what i do in this battle (in the gba) is using reflect on my characters and then used the magic spells on them, they will damage him instead.

I kept dying from his tsunami move, but when hes charging it up he dosnt have reflect on and casting thunder dispels his charging then hes open for a strong attack.

you can always reflect yourself and use spells on you to attack him when he uses reflect

When he uses Reflect, just continue to cast Focus on Yang, then Kick as that deal some great damage. Also, use the twins attack, Twincast so they deliver an ultimate attack, assuming both are still alive or aren't under a negative status effect. Continue to heal Yang and the twins and with Kick and Twincast, and with the occasional Thundaga attack, you should be walking away from this battle fairly quickly.
