Thank you for your response, I took my state two weeks ago and passed. I just wanted to thank you for all of your videos, they were, and are greatly appreciated. I found your videos to be a useful tool when I was preparing for my exams, I will pass this video information on to future students.

You need to put a liner in the sink, this is to prevent the dentures from breaking if you should accidently drop them. You will fail your skills exam if you do this

@BakerDesigner58 You can either line the sink or cover the sink drainage to have some water in the sink, so then you can prevent to break the denture if you accidentally dropped it. Every State exam requires slightly different technique when you perform the skill. You need to adjust it if needed. That is the way to care of patient that you need to be creative and adaptable. For all my video clips, I omit washing hands at the beginning of each skills due to the limit of time to perform the skill, but it does not mean that you should not do it while you care for the real patient. You already know and should know that you need to wash your hand before, in between and after care of each patient/procedure. You can also use form soap in-between of your tasks even without patient contact. You are watching and got the tip. Great!

Denture care includes brushing the remaining teeth and gums on the resident... If you do not do this you fail!!! Also, where was the 20 seconds of friction which is another checkpoint on the skills checklist?

@goodikki33 Every State requires slightly different basic nursing skill performance. If your State requires steps to remove dentures from patients, please add it to perform. I can't satisfy all State requirements because then the video clip will be 10 times longer for each skill. Thanks for the comments
