  • Anyone notice the microphone bops Stuart Adamson in the gob, as it wobbled, round about 1 minute in..? Bet that surprised him.

  • Crap dancing...great toooon.

  • i was born in Dunfermline, Scotland and The Skids used to drive up in a van at schools at lunchtime, open up the back doors and play. Top band.

  • some one NEEDS to tab this song!!!

    RIP Stuart

  • Great memories. Thanks for the upload.

  • THE greatest Scottish band ever!

  • @OrangeFuzz123 Big Country.

  • The Skids and the Rezillos were probably the best two Scottish bands ever!

  • @001Nigel To my shame, I hadn't even realised The Rezillos were Scottish - I've learnt something there. But kudos as well to the Postcard crowd, like Orange Juice and Aztec Camera, also awesome.

  • Jobson & his divvy dance.

  • Maybe this is why all the dickheads are rioting and looting nowadays...All they have is shit processed music and rap to listen to?

  • Just to correct you nojnworbify. Stuart was playing a Yamaha SG2000 right from the early days (1977/78). Masquarade wasn't released until 1979. I never saw him play his SF700 live but seem to remember seeing Jobson playing a SF500 on the occasions he tried to play guitar! The SF700 wasn't that cheap back then, I couldn't afford one (now have SG1000,2000 and SF700 and 1000). All great guitars! Wish Stuart was still around..... great guitarist and a fine man

  • @Tupperware61. Genuinely impressed with your knowledge of Stuarts guitars during his Skids days. Have drop by the Skids site sometime, sure there's a few folks like myself who'd enjoy talking guitar with you. Cheers: Alan C.

  • Sure thats a Yamaha Super Flighter 700.A rare guitar now and cheap guitar in its day.Didnt take Stuart long to save up for The Yamaha SG2000 in time for his later outings..

  • long may they live in our hearts!!!

  • THE BEST Scottish Band OVER THE TIME...Viva THE SKIDS!

  • My Youth :) :)

  • punk wot an era just didnt give one and newt mattered. these and the dickies

  • what a band what a waste

  • Richard Jobson, Stuart Adamson, William Simpson & Thomas Kellichan (with Bill Nelson on keyboards, but only on the soundtrack).

  • god i remember this...

  • Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant!!! People slag off the 80's, but the current bands owe a lot to stuff like this.

  • @daddyofjames 70's m8. 1979 to be honest. :-)

  • Strange how they created little interest early 80's, gig wise in the midlands. Went to see them several times, fantastic gigs. This song was the dogs.

  • Awesome song, awesome band. The ultimate football-terrace-chant band of the new wave era. Why did none of these turn into footbal chants then?!

  • I wish I was at school again, songs like this bring back good memories, homework lol etc etc Stuart was a god

  • @wardelli R I P stu hes was bloody ace

  • Just watched Jobson some 30yrs later last night at the Alhambra in The Skid's home town of Dunfermline and he still kung fu danced throughout the set as they blew the roof off!! What a night, The Bigman would have been humbled at the awesome reception to his music,Holy to The High!

  • Once upon a time when music ws so unique.. But its ok to be inspired by the past groups for future artists.

  • Where the Kaiser Chiefs got their sound then.....

  • @mikesolejazz and a few others, but none of them have a Stuart Adamson on guitar.

  • Gotta be up there as one of my fav songs, sheer brilliance.ty for posting, brings back lots of memories.

  • Fantastic song, even better live.

  • watch at 1,00 adamson nearly gets slapped by the mic

  • who remembers there song about albert tatlock

  • TV Stars.....B side to Into The Vally

  • Kenny Dalglish, Meg Mortimer, Sandy Richardson, Annie Walker....... Albert Tatlock! Albert Tatlock!

  • Skids were awesome, Stuart Adamson RIP

  • Christ I remember buying this on a 45. It's not aged too badly

  • Robson looks 16 adamson 12.

My copy of this i got in a good deal swapping for another single. Fantastic played loud.

  • Am I right in saying this track never appeared on an album?

  • The Skids were a class act....they explored music through the late 70's and early 80's......they blew Magazine away....Jobson then became all Arty Farty....what a great band...how sad that they never really achieved the success they so deserved....but then that was what this era was all about....the possible...

  • heres another underrated band

  • skids magic!!!!!

  • Just perfect - thank you
