I know you always have someone claiming to have been 'there' when it comes to these videos but hell, I'm gonna do it anyway. I was there, showing my support for Captain Charisma in the most vociferous fashion possible. My friend and I thought we'd be alone in doing so but the peeps came out in force that night. What was particularly odd is that Christian's most ardent fans (myself included) were all located within the same seating block, the target of Christian's errant finger point at 1:50.
Our country are the best wwe crowds.. we cheer the awesome talent/non used superstars that have much to give and boo the guys that suck *Cough* Cena... *Cough*
Yknow, I remember Christian being the first one to start calling out Cena as a poser. The fans started reacting to it, too. Cena has never been a 100% babyface to all fans ever since then. it could be a reason why Christian has been underutilized.
I was at the live event on the Friday before that and I'm sure it was Christian vs y2j vs Shelton and they 2 got booed out off the building cause of Christian
Christian was so great back then and hes still awesome now but he can never match how awesome he was back then. Hopefully he does become world champ at some point but the wwe missed out cause if he became the champ back then it would have meant so much more.
The (as of press time) two-time ECW Champion totally owns the fans here. AND he definitely owns Triple H by ragging on the guy's rivalry with Batista. BTW, the last two make better heels than they make babyfaces! But Christian is WAY overdue for his first-ever WWE title or his first-ever WHC title or maybe both because that's how The Peeps roll!
I was at this show it was in birmingham england in 2005 if my memory serves me right lol, anyway christian was super over that night even though he was meant to be heel, in the match he had with batista later on in the night the crowd i would say were firmly behind christian and not really behind batista even though he was the face, the world champ and was being pushed to the moon at this point, anyway my point is that i feel they missed a trick here and never gave christian a main event chance.
No doubt they missed the boat. Christian was super over in 2005. Both in UK and in USA......they missed a huge opportunity to put Christian on main event level.
I agree. I understand that they want champs who can sell merchandise, but Christian was so over, that moving merchandise wouldn't have been a problem at all.
