She was a tiny little girl and very polite, but not timid. Do you really think she could drag her parents to the show, go onto the stage and OWN it in front of a sea of people, and really face down Simon Cowell, if she were a shrinking violet? She just has strong courage and strong kindness, a wonderful combination.

I mean Connie's still young, so I don't assume she understands everything she sings (that said, her power and passion are unmatched by anyone her age and several above), but the last thing someone like Connie would do is pretend, which is what many child singers tend to do; it can be cute, but also annoying and vain. I have no doubts she will move as she understands more and feels it is right; for now, her voice is more than enough to express herself.
