And he was being mouthy at the beginning of the audio so it is easy to believe he started trouble. The cop told him to "stay in the car man" but he kept coming. People, NEVER open your car door when stopped by a police officer unless the officer tells you that you are under arrest. Even if the officer asks, you are not required by law to open your door, the 4th amendment protects your right to deny this. Only open your window 2 or 3 inches so that you can pass your license and registration through.
