oil prices have been increasing for several years. yes the price of oil is decreasing, but its decreasing because of political factors. for example prices are decreasing because of what is happening in Libya. although its decreasing the price of oil will begin to rise again.oil has increased in value because its getting harder to get. we have to drill deeper and go to areas where its harder to access. and green technology is expensive because it doesn't get enough funding.

I am a Subscriber to your channel but I must say that I disagree with your position on having a mandatory death sentence for all murderers. While I don't wish to defend those who have the audacity to take the life of another, killing someone who is convicted of murder outright 'within 10 days' just seems too hasty to justify. Remember that there is the possibility that someone convicted of murder is innocent and once they are executed there is no remedy to the mistake.

@quarterexchange Lastly, one agreement with your statement. Yes, the USSR's government decided what would be produced. Compare that with business. When you own a manufacturing business, you decide what you want to produce. The difference in this is that a business is always accountable for their actions, the USSR's government at the time, however, was not, leaving them free reign to do whatever was most convenient (dump waste wherever), which led to pollution. Next time, do your homework.

@quarterexchange And furthermore, until our government began requiring corporations to act and conduct business in an environmentally safe manner, our country had its own share of polluters, and even to this day, much of the cleanup efforts are fronted in funding by our government through the Superfund law. In addition to that, if you claim that it's because no company would step in to clean up and use the land, WHO WOULD? A financial barrier-point such as that would make it impractical.

2. DDT was seeping in to the ground water supply = toxin = threat to humanity
3. Capital Punishment is terribly unfortunate, to say the least, but I think it should be a possible sentence for murderers, rapists, etc.
4. Coal is the dirtiest, most environmentally UNSOUND fuel ever. Proven. Fact. So, fail.
5. The government does have to have some power. Complete freedom is not possible. Most people are too stupid to make up their own minds.

Those environmentalist quotes were either used in the wrong context, or only a portion of what the sane green people (the majority) actually think. We believe in efficiency as a tool to reduce damage done to the earth, while safeguarding land, air, and sea. As for economics, that's not my specialty, so I'll skip that and avoid a foot in the mouth. The thing about the Soviet Union's pollution rate is that there were too many secrets - and our govt. has been moving towards secrecy since 2002.
